Bra fitting help » 32F Cleo Maddie - Is this the right shape?
Cleo » Maddie Moulded T-shirt Bra (7201) » 32F 32:7
Issue resolved
Overall, I've decided that even though this bra may 'technically' fit..it's not the shape/style the bra was meant for. If I try another it will be in a smaller cup.
Original problem
I have no clue if this is a fit for this bra. I'm super frustrated as I'm not sure of my shape, but I think I am projected. I'm also convinced my chest may be higher than normal due to me feeling like my under wires aren't exactly places right. I've looked at other users' pictures of the Cleo Maddie and they don't exactly look like my pictures. Is this bra for shallow shapes? It seems to fit my projected breasts OK, but it definitely does not give any oomph. I prefer padded/molded bras over unlined bras due to my pointyness. This bra's band is slightly big, but on the last hook it fits OK. I measured a 32DD/E and this is a 32F. I think if I went with a smaller cup I'd have quadboob. Is this the right shape for me?

helpfulyes Maddie is quite shallow. because the cups are too shallow for you, your boobs are pushing the bra away from your body, causing the gore to not tack. which isn't good. i would say that your boobs have average projection. my boobs are also very pointy; i feel you on the preference for molded bras as opposed to unlined.
overall, the bra isn't terrible, but i would search for another model that's more projected than the Maddie. how are the wires? are they too wide for you?
can you add another picture that shows how the band is sitting? is the band really stretching out to 34 even though it's a 32F?

The gore *does* seem to tack though... there's only some empty space near it, due to some lack of center fullness and slight gaping.

helpfulCan you make a front and profile pictures with your arms down and back perfectly straight (without putting shoulders too far to the back and expanding the ribcage too much)? Because yes, shallow cups on supposedly projected breasts usually DO give a oomph, which is not happing here. From these pics I'd say cups are slightly big and I'd try 32E.

helpfulBasically you solved the shallowness issue of the bra by going up a cup size (from your normal measured size, as you said). This could work sometimes, but generally I think it's just shape compatibility.
It's super annoying to figure out your shape and what bras your boobs like, but eventually it'll come and all will be well in the world.
Anyway, this is really not a bad fit. I don't think any other size in this model would be any better. Do you like the way it looks? Is it comfortable?
If you're after moulded bras with more projection, I'd recommend trying Curvy Kate Smoothie/Starlet next.Updated on May 29, 2015 Flag this

I don't mind the fit. The only thing that bothers me is the straps are super wide and could begin to irritate where the cups cut into my arm pit. I plan on trying it out though :)

The band does not ride up, I have it on the very last hook, so it's probably a 32 give or take 1/2 inch. Waaaay stretched it's a 34. It was a used bra, so it's a little stretched. The band fits quite comfortably.
I noticed this morning that my tissue does not fill the bottom of the cup..therefore, I know for sure it's too shallow.
The wires are good. I have breast tissue to about the middle of underneath my arm pit.
Thank you for verifying I am projected! That is a huge help and it's been driving me crazy!!
