Bra fitting help » Slight gaping? Otherwise seems good; thoughts?

Issue resolved
Going to try this in 30E and a (non-defective) 28FF with an extender to see what happens. Thanks!
Original problem
ETA: Here's a look at the 28FF I also tried:
http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dluhu/This *may* actually be a winner! It's comfortable and seems to be a good fit. I just want to double check with some of the pros here.
Potential issues: Though the cups do not dig in, there's a little gapping over my smaller breast. Generally this is not an issue, right?
I know wendybien will point out the vertical lines on the band, which I've also spotted. The band is firm, but I don't think a 30FF and I would get along—I do really prefer a very firm band. (The 28FF was definitely a bit too big in the cup.)
ETA I also wonder if the wires are not quite wide enough—would that then make trying 30FF at least worthwhile? If they are wide enough...maybe it's juuuuust there. I don't have a discernible root without a serious push test.
I guess that's it—just hoping a few of you don't mind taking a look and telling me what you think. Thank you so much!

helpfulI took a very careful look but I cannot spot any gaping in the pictures.
The lace of the Juna never lays flat - it's a classical design fault in this bra. If the cup fits, the lace will be wrinkly.
To evaluate the fit, fold the lace into the cups and see how the padded part of the cup fits you.Apart from that, this bra looks too small on you in both cup and band size. I'd try a 30E and 30F. (Going up in the band will change the fit of the cups as well, as they are not pulled wider and shallower any more, and become more roomy, and so you might find that a 30E is actually big enough in that band size.)
Also, I recommend trying the Cleo Darcy Padded Balconette (6821) (flamingo print) which has a slightly firmer band than the Juna. I have similar measurements and the 30 band was always too loose on me in the Juna, but the 28 was too tight. Darcy in 30 was just perfect.

I agree that the cups look too small, especially on the boob that's on the right in the pics.

FWIW, I tried the 28FF as well, and think the cups are too large. It doesn't look like I added it, so perhaps I'll do that tonight or tomorrow.

helpfulI think since you're comfortable in a 28 you should stay in a 28, especially since the Juna will stretch out fairly quickly I've noticed. Have you tried tucking the lace into the cup? I think you would find slight quadding if you do. The lace should gape a bit. With my Juna when I moved into the next hooks it quadded more, so I think a 28FF will be better in the long run--you're almost there!

I've actually also tried a 28FF, which was definitely too big. (Don't think I posted pictures, but it's too big.) I take it you have Juna, and find the band stretches out? I'm quite gun-shy about going with any 30 bands because of my experiences with Freya!

helpfulJust an fyi, a 30FF would be 2 cup sizes larger than the 28FF. To sister size up you would want a 30E

You're right. Have had a toothache for a week and am for the first time ever eager to see my dentist...

helpfulDo you mean the horizontal lines on the back of the band? If you feel the wires aren't quite wide enough, it's definitely worth trying the 28FF. Or, if you're in a store and see a 30F, try it on the tightest hooks to approximate the fit of a 28FF.

helpfulI'd say, the cups are not wide enough, and I'd try 30F. the bigger the band, the wider the wires. It also would be better if the bra was a little taller, because it's too much uncovered tissue in your armpits.

I guess I'll have to try the 30s, much as I hate 30 bands.
The gaping is very, very slight and really only on my smaller side; my fuller breast fills its cup perfectly. Thanks!
