Issue resolved
Fits well, just a shape I need to get used to.
Original problem
I feel like this is a fairly good fit, band isn't quite as tight as I would like, but it's not riding up. I'm mostly posting this in hopes of getting some input to my shape and to help point me in the direction of other bras that might be a good fit. I do tend to have some issues with underwires not fitting in my IMF and I feel like I'm between a 30 and 32, 30's a bit small and 32's a bit big, though everything I've tried in a 30 seems to stay in my IMF.

helpfulHow is the wire width on you? If you've taken an accurate width measurement, and the wire fits your natural root shape closely, then this would indicate you have rather wide roots for your breast size (6" or more). If so, this is handy as many of the cute, mid-priced department store options available in your size range tend to be wider: Panache, Parfait, various Wacoal sub-lines, Simone Perele, etc. etc, You seem to have average projection and average to slightly short (meaning not tall) roots which again in your size range means you're fairly close to the shape bra manufacturers usually design for, and you should be able to choose from a wide range of bras. Is that the kind of info you're looking for?

you can also buy an extender - cheaper than a new bra! Of course if you go up a band size, the cup also gets a bit wider

Wire width isn't so much a matter of taste or aesthetics in most cases. Under NO circumstances do you want an underwired bra where the wire is narrower than the root of your boob, because it will sit on breast tissue all day long and that is painful and harmful! Wire width also doesn't control projection or side support-- that is all down to cup construction. This bra you are wearing is a cheaper brand in a full cup design, and these don't usually center your tissue particularly, but that is nothing to do with the wires.
There are MANY plunges and push-up styles in your size range that run wide, so I don't think you'd have any trouble finding some that fit you nicely.
If you want to make a shortlist of the exact types of bras you are looking for and what you want from them, I'm sure people can suggest styles.

Thank you, that was very helpful. I'm just really unfamiliar with unlined styles as well as full cup bras. I got this as a bit of an add on to an order because it was on clearance and I thought it was pretty and worth a shot. I do feel like it is quite comfortable so I will probably start wearing it more frequently once I get used to the shape it gives, which is still a fairly round shape, just not as up and in as I'm used to.

dbmamaz the cup does not automatically get wider when you go up a band! Usually the opposite if anything!

How on earth could a cup get narrower when you go up a band? A 36F is a bigger cup than a 30F . . . I mean, at least in the same model
-
It depends what you mean by going up a band. Sister sizing up should usually not make the cup wider, since fortunately nowadays many brands do use some sense in grading. But if you "go up a band" with the same letter cup size (30F to 32F) you are really also going up a cup size.
-
Ok, that makes sense. but still, I assume a 38C is going to be wider than a 32F?
-
You would think that, but often it is not.

dbmamaz Sister sizes are normally the same width.

Some brands, like Empreinte and Ewa Michalak, grade sizes so that certain sister sizes are narrower than others. I'm not sure if there are more companies than those two that do, there may not be.
So here is how you can get narrower cups when you go UP in the band. A tight band will pull the wires to the side, making them wider and the cups shallower. A looser band will allow the wires to be more U shaped and therefore narrower.

A bit of an update, I wore it for most the day today, previously I'd only worn in for trying on and wore it for a short part of the day. Today I noticed that the wire does kind of poke me in the armpit and that part of the wire seems to be a bit thicker. I bought this bra mostly for occasional use so it's not a big concern, but for a daily bra I wouldn't be able to put up with it.

Decided to go through my old fit requests and double check some bra measurements. I realized that I measured quite measurements incorrectly when I first joined Bratabase. I had this bra at 6" width and it is only 5".
Yes, exactly what I was looking for. The wires are alright. I'm not used to this type of bra, I'm used to plunge and push up styles. Would a narrower wire give a more projected look or give more side support? If so i may prefer a bit narrower. I do have some Parfaits that I like and fit pretty good other than the band being a little tight. I need to order a ParfaIt in a 32 and see if it's a better fit than a 30.
