Issue resolved
Thanks for your suggestions! I ordered and tried on the same bra in a 30DD, and it fit perfectly! I was so surprised. Thank you
Original problem
This is one of a dozen or so new bras in 30C/30D. I'm right in between sizes. I think I'm shallow, wide, and full on bottom but would love to hear what you think. My issue with this bra is only that the wing height is very low and I prefer a high wing to tuck everything in. Otherwise, does it look like it fits alright?

helpfulI think it looks ok, but based off your measurements maybe you should try it in a cup size up? That would make the wings a little higher and hold in your tissue better. Don't forget to scoop and swoop!

helpfulBoth the Betsey Johnson Stocking Stripe and the Betsey Johnson Retro Glamour have wing heights that are 1/2" taller. You might like the Stocking Stripe in 30C because it runs half a cup size large, So it really fits like a 30C½
b.tempt'd also has some bras that have a higher wing height. the Ciao Bella, the b.wow'd and the How Gorgeous all have wing heights that are 1/2" taller than the Betsey Johnson Eyelet Demi.

helpfulI'm not very confident advising you on these pictures, and as anyone here can tell you, that's really saying something-- I LOVE to give people bra advice! The photos are a tad overexposed and this makes it hard to see the contours of the breast, i.e. whether there is a lot of tissue that ought to be contained and is not.
I understand it's hard to take good photos especially when you're not used to it (my photos still tend strongly towards crappiness even after a lot of practice!) so even if you can't really produce much better ones, I'd suggest at least filling in your breast measurement chart completely so people can respond to you based on that. I would be curious to know what your lying down boob perimeter is--it usually offers a fairly close guideline for what cup depth should be. In your size range, the horizontal and lying perimeter are usually similar, but I'd be utterly amazed if a 9" boob (measured lying down) could fit in a 6.5" cup.

Hey! Thanks for your advice anyway. Do you know, if I decided to try on a larger size, is the problem resolved?
And this was my bigger question - in looking through bratabse, for a 9" boob, am I looking for 9" wires? Or thereabouts?

helpfulWhat a pretty bra, I should add it to my to-try list.
I don't see anything amiss in the pictures. I agree with wendybien that it's possible that the pictures are hiding a problem because they came out a little on the white side. The way some cameras work makes them freak out a little and do weird things to the light on certain situations like blackness or high contrast, a black bra on pale skin for instance. As is, though, I'm not particularly suspicious of any fit issue based on the pictures.
I think we are thrown off by your perimeter measurement. If it is correct, it would totally explain why you feel too uncovered in this bra. A 9" boob should spill out of a 6.5" bra cup and you might be spilling out on the sides. It also might look kind of okay if you didn't swoop and scoop, but then if you did the swoop and scoop you would pop out of the bra. That might be the case here. If so, going up in cup size would give you a more secure/covered feeling.
I have a 7" boob and I would definitely take a 30D in this bra. Unless you re-do your measurement and it's totally different, you might be somewhere around 30DDD.

Thanks! I double checked all my measurements and the bra's measurements, and I think I will try a larger size. It's just so hard to believe that I would ever wear that size. I know how the math works, but still...

willowtree87 I know what you mean. I was in 32A for so long that I equated A cup with my boob size. The new online size calculator said I was a 28D-DD and I bought... Drumroll please... Size 30B. I understood the idea of going down in band and up in cup but I was not convinced that I would ever wear a size that doesn't sound small. It varies some from bra to bra but still.
It takes time to get used to a tacking gore, a supportive (tighter) band, swooping + scooping, seeing more boobage out in front where it belongs, and size shock. I see no problem with transitioning from your old size gradually to more ideal sizes.

willowtree87 Another thing that I thought of seeing your other question to wendybien. Check your technique for measuring your breast perimeter: http://www.bratabase.com/help/profilemeasurements/
You want the bra cup depth to roughly match up with this boob measurement.

Thank you! I will try those bras too.
