Bra fitting help » too small? or just wrong shape?

Issue resolved
I'll get a different shape
Original problem
It is one of my better fitting bras, but I think it's too small or the wrong shape. The band is ok - it feels tight but not too much, I can fit some fingers under it.
I am filling the whole cup, but it feels weird. I think it's too separated (my boobs are very close together, it stabs me in the middle) and too narrow (I'm also 'heavy on the sides', I tend to spill out there).
The top part of the cup wrinkles a bit on one boob, I think it's the shape and not that it's too big. This was one of my recommendations, but it might be that the one bra I have that fits well - deco honey - is also too small, even though it was fitted in a specialized shop.
Should I send this back? What should I try?
P.S. I'm sorry about the quality of pictures, had to use my webcam as my camera is broken...

helpfulIt might be a bit too small, but the bigger problem appears to be that the gore it too wide on you. In image 3, it looks like its wire is stabbing your boob. Ouch! My advice is, if it doesn't 'feel' right, it likely isn't. If it's uncomfortable now, imagine what it'll feel like 8 hrs from now.

I can definitely see it! My advice is to do a google search for bras with narrow gores, or post an adventure on here asking for examples of bras with narrow gores. I can't think of any specifically, besides a standard plunge, but I know plenty on here have this issue and can offer up bras that have worked for them.

If the bra fits otherwise I believe there's a modification you can do to make the gore narrower. I have this problem a lot too with bras.

helpfulOut of curiosity, does it feel a bit more comfortable if you put on an extender? Sometimes the wires hurt because they are just being pressed in too hard by a very snug band.
Generally though, if you are full on the outer part of the breast this bra is not the best design for you. It's pretty shallow on the outside of the cup if I recall correctly and is more suited to someone who has little or no volume at the sides.

helpfulWow, I am late to the game here but it looks to me like the wires are too narrow for you. That would account for the stabbing at the center and spillage on the outer sides of the cups. In some cases this is a size issue but I agree with the other suggestions that it just isn't a good match for you.
Just noticed your shape info - the Rio is recommended for narrow and projected breasts and you list your shape as wide and shallow. Given that, it doesn't surprise me that it is too narrow for you. This is likely going to be a problem with most of Freya's unlined plunges, btw. You might want to try one of their padded half-ups (like Patsy) as it will give you a wider wire. Those don't fit my shape so I can't comment on how the gores fit but I don't know that I would automatically disqualify bras with gores similar to this one. There is a chance that if you can get the right sized wires, the gore will not be painful at all - even with close-set breasts.
Good luck!

It does stab me! That's what I mean by 'too separated'.
I have this issue a lot, even a bit with bras I wear regularly. My boobs are just so close together... there's no space there for a centre gore! I never buy bras with a high centre gore for this reason, but even the smaller ones tend to do this... even plunge bras!
