Bra fitting help » ski slope shape
Kris Line » Toni Semi Soft » 65DD 30:5
Issue resolved
Keeping the bra for now, but might trade it for a Cleo Lucy.
Original problem
Technically it fits, I think, but I am not happy with the shape it gives me. I am FOB, not self supporting, pendulous. Do you think it is asking for firmer tissue and/or more upper fullness? I have the same issue with a few Kris Line bras, especially the semi soft. I am thinking it would be better if the padded part came up higher, which would be in a larger cup, but afraid the cups would be too roomy. As good as it gets? It is amazingly comfortable though. In doubt whether to keep it or not. All suggestions welcome!

helpfulI agree that it looks like it fits. You might find that the Cleo Lucy or the Freya Arabella/Siren/Ooh La La give you more lift. The Freya Icon Moulded Plunge looks like it gives even more lift and shaping, but it also looks as if it's made for people who are FOB and tall rooted at the same time.

the one in the middle represents tall roots, the one on the right represents short roots.

I think I am the first one. I definitely have to try the Cleo Lucy.

I see what she's seeing about tall roots tho - its like your breast comes out from the bottom pretty suddenly - almost straight out - but at the top, it seems to slope in so slowly and smoothly it looks like you have some breast tissue almost all the way to your collar bone - just really shallow breast tissue at the top. as opposed to some ppl (like me) where the top seems pretty defined. In some bras my boob almost seems to fold at the top (hard to explain).

You know dbmamaz - I think I just have saggy boobs, but tall roots sounds so much better, lol
-
Trust me, i'm saggy - i joke about keeping them out of my belly-button (cuz i'm also short) but if you hold them up - they just about fold over at the top because they stop very suddenly. I honestly thought the whole FOT / FOB made no sense for me since I'm old and way saggy, but once I started getting my boobs properly situated, it started to make more sense. Its one of those things that just takes time to sink in. Like you look at it for weeks and dont see anything and suddenly, there it is.

I am still learning and waiting for that boob epiphany moment. Every day I find bras in my closet that don't fit me well . Most of those Iooked great to me when they arrived. Up until now I thought I had short roots, or at least average, and now it turns out that they are tall!! Braology is my field of study, if anyone asks me in the future. :)

helpfulI guess its probably the not-full-enough-on-top thing? It almost looks slightly too big? I tried on this bra once (band was just way too small for me) and it was definitely a bit rounder than that. I am fairly FOT

It is slightly big on my smaller side and I'd say for a rounder look it probably would require a bit more upper fullness.

helpfulIt looks like it fits you and I think it's giving you adequate support, there's nothing wrong with letting your natural shape show (providing you're getting the support you want/need). I think we've been brainwashed by the media, movies, marketing into thinking that perfectly round unnatural looking boobs are the goal we should aspire to. The female body is beautiful in all it's different shapes and sizes and should be celebrated rather than manipulated into something it's not. O.K. off my soapbox now. I agree though that this bra might need a more FOT shape to round out but I certainly wouldn't get rid of it based on that.

You might be right in what you are saying. It does give enough support and sooooo comfy.

I missed the Ooh La La and now regret it. Was keeping it in the Figleaves basket for too long - somebody else snatched it. :(
I am confused by what tall rooted means....
