Issue resolved
Fits okay. Getting an extender will possibly help.
Original problem
This bra, in the 28DD fits better than the 30DD, but does it look too small on the side?
The 30DD covers more (is that considered the tail of spence?
The 28dd also gives me cleavage. I think if I even gain a little weight in my breasts this will be too small.

helpfulI'd say this fits as the designer intended. Cleos are all low-coverage bras, for better or worse. In your case this is sort of a good thing (it means the wires don't come up high on the side to poke your pectorals or the extension of tissue that is near the armpits) although of course not everyone wants low coverage!

helpfulIt looks like the wires are distorted on the 28DD. Does the band feel tight? Did you try it in a 30D (does it come in that)?

helpfulThis one looks like it gives a much better shape and lift than the others the cups do look like they're creasing at the bottom (slight orange in a glass maybe). I don't think the tissue on the sides is such a big deal. To me it looks more like TOS or armpit fat than anything that your bra needs to contain, but you can probably tell better. Is this after you've scooped and swooped? It's possible that a 28E might work if this one overflows right after you do. If you order the next size up, you can always bend the wires to make the cups narrower (add projection) or wider (lose projection) I think somewhere in between this one and the 30DD would be an ideal fit.

This is after I swoop and scoop.
I honestly don't know what's going on with the armpit area. It's always been an area I've struggled to cover, although I think the lucy covers it. My old 32Cs weren't covering it. -
I honestly think you may be uncomfortable with it covered, because that would but the straps/edge elastic into your armpit where they would likely be very irritating. If you are set on having it covered, you'll probably need to go up a cupsize in order to have wider wires that still accommodate your projection. Panache Andorra (which runs large so check the measurements) might be a good one to try. Its wires are wider but it's still quite projected. It may give a pointy shape though.

helpfulI'm the culprit who recommended this. One thing that confuses me is that the band measurement for the 30DD was quite large for a Cleo, almost 4" larger than this 28DD. Maybe it was mislabeled?
Have you tried this with an extender?

I remeasured the 30dd and the band was a little over 24" 😳 oops.
I ordered an extender from eBay. But 28 is the band size I should be wearing. -
If you still have the 30DD, have a friend pull the band tighter (sort of the opposite of an extender) when you wear it to get an idea of how the 28E would fit you. There's also something called a Rixie clip that can do this.
Other than being smallish in the cups, this looks pretty good. I don't quite understand the armpit issue, though.

I didn't try it in a 30d, because a 28dd was suggested to me. But I don't think I'm the cause of use distorted wire. When I compared the wires to the 30dd, the 28dd wires went out more, while the 30dd went up more (does that make sense?) actually, now that I look, there's a little over 1/2 of space where the wire could be, but is not, at the underarm part.
