Bra fitting help » Weight gain, bra fits well but major underarm spillover.
Cleo » Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) » 34E 34:6
It fit before I gained weight. Now I spill over in the armpits. The photo is my pre-weight gain. I think I fill out the tops of the cups perfectly. But the underarm spillover is a problem with fitted tops. I can tolerate it is loose tops.

helpfulSo usually for a fit request, you are asking for something - what is your question? You know its too small . . .

helpfulWe can't really judge what's wrong about the current fit with a photo representing the way it used to fit... spillover under arms can mean a lot of different things. Sometimes it simply means you're adjusting the straps too tight (an adjustment perhaps made when you were smaller in the bust, to eliminate wrinkling) and this can cause the wing edge to dig in and the band to ride up at the back, where most people are wider and fleshier. You can try loosening the straps and then rescooping. But otherwise, Cleo would not be my first choice of brand to persist with a borderline-too-small bra... materials are not forgiving and I find the wires very hard.

Yes, the Cleo is gone, and I am happy with my stretchier Chantelles and Gorsenias.
I gained weight, I needed a bigger bra! -
Yay for more comfortable materials!! Glad you found what you needed!

helpfulWeight gain can not be always solved with extenders. The entire body structure changes. Wings that stood on could prove weak and collapse, the dreadly underarm spillage.
However extenders are way cheaper than a new properly fitting and well holding bra. So ogically it should be attempted first.
If no joy, falling straps, uncertain underwire position, IMF issues, boobage spillage, then, time to gently wash the bra and mothball it for later.

Yes. Mothball for a thinner time.
Thank you.

I bought some 34Fs in Gorsenia and Chantelle. They are great. Thanks for your response.

helpfulAre you scooping all the tissue from the side into the cups? I know when my bra feels undersized I often am not as dilligent about it as I should be to make it "fit". Scooping everything in might give you a better visual indication of how much you should size up. Or if you want you could post a picture right after putting it on and scooping and get some input on it.

No amount of swooping and scooping could have made that bra fit. It was just too small. So I went up a size, but in brands with more forgiving fabrics, like Chantelle C Chic Sexy Plunge (3641). I am buying every one of those that I can find, in a 34F. They used to make it in so many colors! So far I have 2 blacks, and 2 tans. I know there are pinks and greens out there....
I also love the 75F - Gorsenia » Caren (K447) and other non-padded Gorsenias. They hold all that breast tissue and put it front and center!
Thanks for your response!

Thank you for your response. I’m sorry I didn’t acknowledge it sooner.
Yes, You are right. I know it’s too small. I have gone up a band size, which gave me a little more cup too.
Thanks again. And I apologize for my non-question post on a subject that I already REALLY knew the answer to.
