Bra fitting help » Band/cups too small
Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) » 36GG 36:10
Issue resolved
I returned the bra and ordered a size 38GG which fit much better. Thanks!
Original problem
This is a 36GG Panache Envy Side Support Balconette Bra. The cups are a bit small with some overflow (not pictured as I wasn't properly scooping and swooping) and gore doesn't tack. The band wasn't long enough and I was unable to close up the back by at least 4 inches. I want to get this same bra but in a size that will actually fit for me, and I need help figuring out what size I should order. Thanks!

helpfulWith just this picture, it's difficult to fully see the fit issues you're talking about, but your ribcage measurements would indicate to me that you should be wearing a 38 band. The 'most important' band measurement to keep in mind is your comfortable ribcage, and even if we were just considering your tight ribcage of 37 inches, I would still say to try a 38 first, as it's better for a bra's band to be a bit too big than a bit too small.
With the picture you have, I also see wrinkling at the cups, but, like I said, with just this picture, it's difficult to tell if this is because of a shape/size mismatch with the bra, because you haven't tightened the straps enough, or because of the way you're flexing your arms. If the wrinkling is because of the way you're flexing your arms, try a 38G. If it's because the cups are a size too big, try a 38FF. If it's because of a shape issue, we'd really require more pictures to know what sorts of bras to recommend to you.

eriv try it on with an extender if you have one then scoop and swoop. It might be that cup is way too small I mean your horizontal perimeter is 41cm, laying is 39.5cm and cup depth is 30.5cm. That's probably another reason why you're unable to put this bra on

Orange_Kate I tried it on again and noticed that the cups seem a bit too small when I scoop and swoop (i.e. slight overflow on top and gore doesn't tack). Since this is a 36GG should I try a 38GG (since I'd have to go down a cup size from an H when adjusting for the band size) ? I'll try to get more pictures it's just difficult as I don't have an extender so I need someone else to photograph while I hold the back taut. Thanks!

eriv well if you can return it do it. Because you need to put on bra properly to see if it really fits or not. It's better to reorder it in 38GG
Thanks for the help! I had difficulty taking pictures especially of the back because I didn't have anyone around to help with taking pictures, but I'll see if I can work something out. I didn't adjust the straps at all , so that may account for any wrinkling. Because it didn't close it's hard for me to tell if the cups fit as well as they should, and I've also never had a well-fitting bra so I'm just now learning what to look for. I know that when changing band size you must also change cup size, so if I went up to a 38 I would have to get a G, right (assuming that the cups were the right size on this bra) ? Again thanks so much for the help and I'll try to get some more pictures when possible.
EDIT: I just realized that the cups may appear to be wrinkling because they aren't being pulled back at all by the band. When I pulled the band taut in the back the cups didn't seem to wrinkle.
