Bra fitting help » 34f, 34g or cup depth issue? ?
Scantilly » Brazen (4601) » 34F 34:7
I think there's a little overspill on the cups when I swoop and scoop. This is the 1st bra I've bought after realising I was wearing completely the wrong size, as I hadn't measured in years. This is a 34f and I think a 34g is probably more appropriate? Or is this a shape and projection issue? It's fine if I don't scoop and swoop too much though, so I'll be keeping it. It's certainly a far better fit and more comfortablethan what I was wearing before. The photo with the breast adjustment is the side on view. The other photos are without adjustment. Please give me your thoughts ladies.

helpfulIt's definitely too small judging by the spillage and the amount of coverage in the side view. I would say it's at least two cup sizes too small, as the difference one cup size makes is fairly subtle.
Scantilly uses UK sizing which goes F, FF, G so I agree that UK 34G would be a good size to try next.
How is the wire width? It looks pretty good or maybe a bit narrow but it can be hard to tell with photos, especially for dark bras.

Okay, so Brazen isn't the right shape for you then. If you sized up so there wasn't spillage, then the wires would be too wide. That probably means it's too shallow for you. I would look at balconettes with diagonal seams rather than half-cups.

Idk I'd give this style a try in 34FF. If I try on a bra which is a cup size too small I get about the same amount of overspill. So maybe there's no need to go up two cup sizes, it's a half cup after all, it supposed to be lower coverage.

helpfulThat's definitely a shape mismatch. This cut only works on shallow and especially firm breasts. On softer breast one always gets that spillage. Scantilly half cups are very shallow and supposed to really only cover half of the breast (not like most of the "half" cups, which are actually more 3/4 cups). You already have more coverage than there should be.
If you really like the design of that bra, you can help yourself out by going one or two cup sizes up to achieve more coverage and prevent the tissue from spilling. But keep in mind: that's neither the way this bra is supposed to fit nor your real size.Updated on August 26, 2020 Flag this
Thank you for your response. The wire width feels fine, they definitely don't dig in at all. I have since recieved a couple of G cup bras. One gapes a little at the top, but the other one seems to fit quite nicely. I think there will be a little trial and error with styles and brands.
