Bra fitting help » Size/shape problem? Wrinkling bottom of cup

Issue resolved
I think the shape of this bra just doesn’t work for me. Cups are too shallow. I think the size would be okay if the cups had more depth. The quest continues!
Original problem
The wires keep pushing down on my abdomen and there’s space and wrinkling at the bottoms of the cups. Is this a fit/shape issue? I’m still trying to figure out my proper size and shape and haven’t yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

helpfulThis may or may not help much, but the band looks to be angled up a bit at the back, which doesn't make sense sizing-wise since it is plenty tight enough (perhaps even a bit on the small side). The cause for this is often overtightened straps--after a lifetime of wearing a bra that isn't optimally sized and thus isn't supporting the bust from below, most people are firmly conditioned to tighten the straps a great deal as this is the only way to get any lift.
Try loosening them till they are just snug enough to stay up on their own without falling or wandering, readjust the band to horizontal level, scoop and swoop again, and see if that helps at all. It may not compensate for shape inadequacies but on the other hand sometimes releasing too-tight straps reveals that that was the reason for cup being too shallow at the edge or too closed in on top.Updated on October 21, 2020 Flag this

helpfulI'm not too knowledgeable, but I think this bra is too shallow for you and the cups are too small.

I’m not too knowledgeable either haha
Thanks for the feedback. I think you’re right that it’s too shallow. Not sure about the size. I don’t know if a different size would help with this one.

helpfulI would agree with you that there is a shape mismatch for you with this bra in many areas. The gore and shoulder straps are too wide and, as other forks have said, there is not enough projection at the wire to accommodate your breast tissue. That would explain the wire on your abdomen as the bra is slithering down to give your breasts the space that they need. It seems that the wires are not wide enough to encompass you at the midline (gore to wide). Have a look at the measurements of the bra and decide what needs to change. Good luck with your bra journey!

Thanks for the feedback! I’m very new to this advanced bra fitting so this is very helpful for me. Hopefully getting closer to finding my unicorn!

Thanks for the feedback. I should have mentioned that there was also some space at the top of the cup, probably didn’t show in the picture. More on the smaller side (rt) side so I did overtighten that strap. Perhaps it’s just a poor fit overall and not the right bra for me.
