Bra fitting help » Why does the band still feel tight and the cups too close together?
Panache Black » Ardour Sweetheart Moulded Bra (7951) » 32FF 32:8
Issue resolved
Tried 32F and FF sizes
Original problem
I took advice and tried some 32FFs, but this one doesn't feel right. The top of the cups have empty space, and my boobs don't feel supported much despite the tight band. In both this size 32FF and smaller size panache bras like 32E it feels like the cups are set too wide somehow?
It fits well in the bottom and outer sides, but cuts in in the middle and is loose at the top.
I was reccomended to get a stretchy material for the top of the cups so that there's no gaping, but I wanted one bra that is lined and gives my boobs a rounder shape, possibly a push up bra.

helpfulThis bra does look a little big/wide in the cups. Most lined/molded bras do run wide. You probably have narrow roots and I'd recommend trying Ewa Michalak bras in the future.
In the meantime, do you have a bra store near you, or are your only options online like Amazon? If you can, I strongly recommend trying on lots of bras, in different styles/brands sizes - the more you try, the more experience you have, the more you can find what is perfect for you.
Personal backstory: I transitioned from big, foam, often pushup 32DD/DDD bras from VS to unlined and narrow wired - specifically 65FF EM, 32E Cleo Marcie only, and 30F Freya (unlined only). It took me five or six years to get where I am, so don't feel pressured. A bra that fits is a journey, and it is okay and normal for your size to change, and your preferences to change. My first year in this journey, I wore Freya deco, Freya halfcup pushup, and Freya halfcups, because I didn't like the pointy look of some unlined bras, and I wanted something smooth under shirts like I was used to with VS. With time I learned that I needed more projected bras for comfort, and narrower wires. I also found that not all unlined bras look pointy, and many of them are less noticable under shirts than I feared. I also learned I liked how my boobs looked in unlined bras - my boobs were separated (no uniboob or cleavage sweat) but front and center (it made me feel less wide in general and it made my clothes fit better). And the best part? That's my personal journey, and everyone's is different. You will find your perfect fitting bra, and you will find brands you prefer and gravitate too.
So.
You say you don't like unlined bras, so I won't recommend any at this time. I will recommend trying the Freya deco, freyo deco vibe (or other deco with that seam - it fits different than the regular deco) and the Freya deco halfcup (is a pushup ish). Based on your measurements, try the deco in a 32F/FF or 34F, and the halfcup in a 32/34F.

Yeah, a lot of department stores give bad advice like that. If you don't have a specialty bra store within driving distance ( something that carries Freya/Fantasies/Wacoal/Chantelle/Panache/Cleo/Curvy Kate), amazon has some options with free returns. The more you try, the more you'll figure out what you like/don't like/need in a bra.

Many of us buy bras online pretty exclusively. My size - expensive boutiques might have 1 or 2 options. And they wont be a good fit.
thank you for your comment!!
I need to find stores near me that carry sizes above DD for 32. Because most I go to only have 32s in A B C. Sister sizes are what stores always recommend to me (usually 34DDD or 36DD) but they don't work well ever. I need the small band for support. Ill look at the bras you suggested though!
