Bra fitting help » How's much cup emptiness is too much?
Comexim » Basic Plunge Bra (170) » 75HH 34:9
Issue resolved
I need to size down in cup size and band size for a proper fit.
Original problem
The apex of the cup is a bit empty, despite the bottom of cup being perfect. Do you think this is wearable for the time being or should I try to swap/sell it? I know the band is too loose, but it's the best looking padded bra I have to wear under t shirts so far. I think a 70HH would probably be a better size for me in this style. What do ya'll think?

helpfulMaybe try a 65J or 65HH? Comexim's plunges run a bit bigger than their half cups, I size up 1 band rather than the 1 band and 1 cup rule that's tossed around for their bras. I haven't tried this particular bra. But I have a 65HH queen of hearts that fits perfectly and my horizontal perimeter is 10". I had a 60L Comexim plunge that fit me similarly to your basic plunge, I wore it for awhile until I decided I couldn't stand the gapping. But if it's comfortable and you like how it fits under shirts, go for it!

I'm so glad I could help! Reading reviews gets us all confused sometimes.

helpfulGuess it all comes down to preference and personal comfort?
If this bra serves a purpose (T shirt bra) and is comfortable to you, of course you can keep wearing it!But as for input on 'proper' fit, yes you're right in my opinion, Comexim is not supposed to be too full-coverage. So apart from the apex emptiness, the cups also look pretty tall on you?
So I'd say definitely size down in band, probably also in cup - 70H of 65HH might work better.
Comexim should be doing a black friday sale if that helps!Good luck (:

Thank you so much for the input! I will definitely check out the Black Friday sale. I think 65HH is a good suggestion to try next. Do you have any particular styles you think may be worth trying next?
I do have short roots, so I think you are right that this is probably too tall for me as well. Assuming probably partially due to the cup size as well. The other Comexim I own has reduced cups, so I think that made me misjudge how much I needed to size up.

Yeah short roots would probably exaggerate the tallness for you!
If you like the fit of their plunges and are looking for 'T shirt proof' smooth material; I have a Comexim Andromeda (not yet added on BTB) that I really really like. Would definitely recommend.
I also own a (slightly-too-small) Gloria and Princess in 70J. My roots are tall-ish though, so different needs and fit issues for me (;
Gloria is surprisingly comfy but quite narrow-wired, and the strappy back is too stretchy for me. The Princess I really like and wear a lot, despite probably needing a 70K.

Thank you so much! I will look into those! I really appreciate the advice! :)

marilynne Thank you for the suggestion! After trying the Ardea in 70G, I really thought 65HH or J would be best. I think reading reviews for the Basic Plunge got me all mixed up since everyone said the band ran tight. Having you confirm my original thought process on sizing makes me feel better. I will definitely try those sizes out next!
