Issue resolved
Too tight band, loose straps, wrong shape, too small cups
Original problem
I’m new at this, so let me know what you think! Questions below
UB Measurements: Comfortable 29.4/Loose 31.3/ Tight 27
My shape: Close Set, Center Full, “east-west”, Very Full on Top (L)/FoT (R), Broad shoulders, Low nipples, Tall/Wide Root? Low on Chest? Narrow Breasts?Gore: Too wide, and either too tall or too short.
Cups: Too wide and shallow
Band: Tight/Rode up
Straps:???Questions: 1. Should I try a 32 band? It didn’t feel that tight but when I looked at the pictures I was surprised at how squished I looked.
2. I’m not sure what shapes my roots are, without a bra they look super wide & average height to me. But I think the firm tissue is actually tall, but only in the center, which I guess would make them narrow.3. Are my straps too tight or too loose?
4. Did I miss anything?

helpfulIt does look like the band may be too tight. I have this problem often. What seems to be happening is the tightness of the band is pulling the wires towards your armpits, widening the cups and leaving a space at the bottom too shallow for your breast to fit. Since not all of the cup is being used, it can appear to be too small in the cups when it really isn’t. The wrinkles in your #9 picture are what’s making me think this.
I may be wrong, but it looks like you could also tighten the straps a bit. It doesn’t really look like the cups are supporting you. This might get rid of some of that space at the bottom of the cup, too.
Do you have any extenders? Trying an extender and tightening the straps would be the easiest way to test if a 32 band might work in this bra.

helpfulSheena has some good points about the band, and I agree that an extender is an easy way to see if the band could fit better if it was looser/larger. You could defnitely tighten the straps a little.
I think the band is too tight judging by your measurements, and like Sheena I also think the wires could be warping/being pulled back towards the armpits becuase the band is too tight. The hooks look like they're straining as well.I wonder if the cup shape of this bra is a little short for you, considering you're FoT and look like you have tall roots. I think this bra would suit more FoB shapes at least looking at how it's fitting you. It could fit with an extender, but I have a feeling it's also a shape mismatch.
You might find more luck with High Apex style bras, like Freya Love Note or Soiree Lace unlined cups.
Also, when measuring the bra's stretched band, careful not to stretch the band so that the wires bend outwards! Not because it harms the bra (the bra can handle it), but because the bra isn't intended to be worn with the wires being stretched because the band is too stretched.

I agree it’s probably a shape mismatch along with everything else, but thanks for the good feedback! I’ll remeasure the band soon.

helpfulYes to your thinking that the gore is too wide for your breast placement. I am not sure about whether or not the gore is too high or to short as the band in the front is sitting lower on your torso than it ought.
The riding up of your band at the back is more due to the front part of your bra shimming down your torso to allow for your breast tissue given that the bra's cups are too small. Your breast perimeter measurements are larger than the cup depth - too much boob for not enough space in the bra.
Your body measurements indicate a loose 28 or a tighter 30 inch band would suit you better providing that the cup is big enough to accommodate you. This band, if stretch measurement is valid ( are wires distorted when stretched to the measured length), actually is too big for you. If you go up to a 32 inch band you will not have the support that you need and be reefing on your straps to get that support. That squished look that you mention comes from the small cups. Folks are right in that the wires are being stretched out further than they should but more because of the cup size than that your band is too small. The band is trying to make up the difference for the small cups.
Given the position of the wire at your side with all that empty space, I would not think that you have wide roots.
Lastly, this bra does not offer enough projection at the wire, which kind of folds the breast in on itself in the cup. This could be from the too small cup or an actual structural design of the bra which does not suit your breast shape or volume.
Not much positive to work with concerning this bra. Better luck with the next one!

helpfulSheena corvidsandtea jazzypants What if the wires bend basically as soon as you stretch it? I updated the stretched band to 26 inches which is much more accurate (and small!) but there was still a little bit of cup opening happening
Edit: I added pictures of the band’s measurements, stretched and unstretched, so you can see what I mean! Sorry they are a little wonky, thanks again for answering

That sounds like the bra has cheaply made wires. :( That shouldn’t be happening.
26 inches is tiny for a 30 band. I wonder if there was a manufacturing defect with this one or something.

Leave this bra in the dust and move on!

Thank you! I didn’t even think about the tight band warping the wires. I don’t have extenders but I’ll see if I can get some soon!
