Bra fitting help » Bra size changed due to weight fluctuations/menopause causing shape change
Glamorise » Glamorise Sport Elite Performance (1067) » 50DD
My favorite fitting bra is my Soma Sensuous Lace Unlined in size 44G which is no longer available. It still fits but when I try to order that size in other bras I couldn't even hook them. So I tried measuring myself and came up with 50DD and ordered this Glamorise Sports Bra which is wayyyy too huge in the cups, and the band is simultaneously too large and digs in/rolls up. My girls have gotten really flat in the last few years and nothing fits right anymore. I have no idea where to start to find a properly fitting sports bra.

helpfulWhich calculator did you use to measure? The "A bra that fits" page on reddit has a calculator that gives a decent starting point (not always 100% accurate, you have to play with sizing and shape fit, etc).
link to r/ABraThatFits:
https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator.phpSports bra bands often fit tighter than regular bras, so normally I would suggest trying a 50" based on your measurements, but if it feels too loose in this model then go one size down on the band and see if that's tight enough. Do you have it pulled right up under your IMF (where your boobs meet your ribs?) It looks like it's a bit low in these photos.
The cups look like they're overall too big (not only the cup, but the bra itself has too much material and comes up quite high under your armpits and on your chest). You could try 2 cup sizes down to see if it fits better, but it may be that this sports bra is a bit of a shape mismatch. Are you able to try 48D in this bra? Basically in case you didn't already know, if you go one band size down, you go one cup size up (and visa versa) to get the equivalent cup size. 48D is therefore one band size down and two cup sizes down from 50DD.
I'm unfamiliar with how this brand fits in general, and your bra is the only one posted here, so it's hard to know what to recommend for fit, but try sizing down and then go from there. Repost a fitting if you try a different size.
This link has some other sports bras that you could look into? https://www.justmysize.com/bras/styles/sports-bras.html
Hopefully someone else will chime in with their advice too. Good luck

Hmm well I tried the calculator at A Bra That Fits which gives me a result of 46H/I! BUT I also just exchanged the Glamorise for a front close in 48D which fits WAY better around the band but still has way too much loose material/gapping in the upper cup area. So weird. 🤪🤷♀️🙄

Do you have short roots (short vertically speaking)? I personally have short roots, so any bra that is too tall gaps on me. If it's still fitting too big, my guess is that it's a shape mismatch on you.
Is 46H/I a US size or UK size?
The ABTFs calculator overestimates my side because I have a lot of projection when I lean over, but I'm not that firm or full (especially on top). The calculator gives me 28G - 28GG to 30G-30GG but I fit 28FF - 30F (some smally 30FFs). I also find that it often recommends a tighter band that what is comfortable. I do wear some 28FF, but I generally prefer a tight 30".

helpfulPerhaps your favorite Soma 44G still fits because the band stretches a bit with wear? Might be why other bras in that size are hard to close. Also, sizes (sadly) do vary between brands - sometimes the cup fits larger, or the band fits looser et cetera.
I'm agreeing with Wilderness1 that 48D may be a good size to try, or perhaps 50C?
While I'm not really familiar with US bra stores or your size range, some googling led me to BareNecessities, Lane Bryant and HerRoom.com that seem to sell 48D/50C sports bras!BareNecessities still has 25% sale going on today; this might be an option?
