Issue resolved
Bra is 1-2 cups too small. Thanks <a href="/@sherrach898" class="mentioned-item mu-12971">sherrach898</a>!
Original problem
Gore too high and wide, not enough projection at wire. Super pointy weird shape. I got this bra on bratabase right before the comexim V-Day sale, since it's a 60J plunge, I thought it'd fit. I didn't even look at the alterations 🤦♀️. The gore was raised which I think is what ruined the fit for me. I ordered matching panties during the sale, so I need to decide if I'm keeping this bra soon so I can either cancel or proceed with my order. What are you guys' thoughts? Should I keep it with the suboptimal fit? Thank you all!

helpfulI mean, to me it honestly looks like it's too small, which is probably exacerbating the lack of immediate projection, like it's just too shallow all around. The reason I say this is because it looks like the coverage isn't landing where it's supposed to, or like the apex of the bra isn't matching up with the apex of your bust.
I got the Scottie in 55J with no alterations and it's definitely a more peaked shape to begin with, but the shape will definitely soften up with washes and wears (that's what happened to my Basic which I've owned for three years now). So it's really up to you. I'm of the belief that if you're not happy with the shape or how it fits, as much as you want to "make it work", you're just not going to wear it in the end.Updated on February 17, 2021 Flag this

I completely agree re: Comexim changing their cuts in the last couple years. My old Basic in 55J, no alterations, has the lowest gore out of all the "unaltered" gores, whereas the newer styles that I've gotten, such as the Scottie and Yellow Birds both have a slightly higher gore and a more balconette shape rather than plunge in my opinion.
As for trying this again, it's hard for me to say. Perhaps the 60L might work better, but I would search out pictures and reviews of the newer styles in that size to see what sort of shape you might be able to expect.

I wonder if it would be possible to request an older plunge cut? It would probably get lost in translation. Maybe a lowered gore would do the trick? I'll start doing some research on the new cuts, I've tried a 60L in the older models but I've grown 1.5 sizes since then, and it was a different cut. Thanks for all your help!

You could always try to send Joanna the measurements for the ones that fit you best and see what she says. Probably not much, as she’s not one for a lot of words. But maybe?

marilynne tried to tag you on another comment but it didn't work. Try asking for the recent Dalia/Suzanne style which has a lower gore. That's what Joanne told me and confirmed when I received mine. The gore is lower but the fit is still good within the same cup size.

aogg, good Idea! Thank you!

I was under the impression that the lower gore deep v plunges were wider and shallower than the classic plunges. I’d be afraid to order one unless I specifically asked for classic cut with reduced gore.

Me too, but apparently the dalia and suzanne are completely seperate cuts from the rita, ginger and other low plunges.

How interesting!!
That makes so much sense, I thought it and my Queen of Hearts were just lower coverage than my other plunges, but it looks the exact same on me. I think it's too small on me now. But what's really weird is that my two 60J "Vintage plunges" fit perfectly and they're also 60J's. I think that Comexim's cuts and sizes just got wonky in the past few years. Which sucks because I LOVE the old plunges. Anyway, do you think I should go up to a 60K or a 60L in this?
