Issue resolved
Cup size is right, cup width, projection level and band length are incompatible.
Original problem
I think the band is too tight, the cups too wide and the gore too high and wide. I get a very bit of quadding in the upper center that isn't really visible in the pics. The wires slide way down past my IMF and the wires almost hit my back.
I'm wondering if a 26HH is too small in the band and large in the cup for me. When I take the band and strap placement out of the equation by holding the wires to my IMF and holding the straps up (almost off my shoulder, they're so wide set) the cup itself seems to fit fine. There's no gaping or quadding this way. I tried to take a picture of this, but it aready takes 2 hands to hold the cup in place.
The band goes to just over 26" FULL STRETCH.

helpfulAw, that's too bad, it's so pretty! I think the Sophia is a really tall cup. And the HH is definitely too wide for you. As I was researching some KH bras this weekend, I learned this (if you still want to try them in the future):
○ KH gores are tall. Planning to add plunge styles, as of 3/1/21.
○ Abrielle, Eden, and Mariella are their shorter balconette styles. wings are very short and the gore is quite tall comparatively.
○ Abrielle tulle is pretty dark complexion (compared to me) and doesn't stretch.
○ Sophia or Abbie might be for taller roots.
○ Abrielle might have a hard tack unless tissue is dense; Mariella may be more forgiving for soft tissue.
○ Vivian is more full coverage.Updated on March 9, 2021 Flag this

Good question. It's WAY too wide. Like an inch or more, I'm guessing. I think it's sitting so far below your IMF because the wire's too wide. And the band isn't level so it's being super wild. The gore won't get much shorter and narrower even if you size down (though the straps would come in).
I tried to find more measurements to see how the width would be in other sizes but there just aren't many entries. The 26HH says 5.6 inches wide. I don't see losing an inch in the width until you're down to an E which isn't enough depth at all. (If you think I overshot it on the width let me know, I was going by the shadows and wrinkles in the side pic.)
I think the Sophia is not a love match. :(

I think that the wires might also be distorted wider if the band is a little bit too small. I found the wires on my two KH bras pretty narrow for my size, although they are smaller in cups than this. I think the sliding down and pulling also looks like a too small band, like it’s trying to slide down to the smallest part of your waist. I’m in a similar spot, the 26 band is just a bit too small and 28 just a little big so I understand the struggle.
KH gores are high and pretty firm, I can definitely see that not everybody might like it, although selfishly it is good for my shape so I don’t mind haha! I do wish the gores were narrower though, the one on my Nina is borderline too wide for me. It’s too bad this isn’t a good fit for you because it really is a pretty style :(

bridget_megan Thank you! That makes sense! I measured before any warping took place, and they're 5.6" wide. I'm not sure if that's narrow for a 26HH, but my roots are 4.9" wide. And even on the loosest hook of an extender, making the band way too loose, the cups still slid down. My other 26HH doesn't do this, so I'm a bit confused about that. Yes, my absolute loosest measurement is 28", but my snug measurement is 26.2" and tight is 24.2". So I need about a 26.5-27 band lol. I'm super eager to try more KH, but probably in a 28 band if this 26 band stretched to 25". Maybe it'll be the 27 band I dream of! I just need to pin down my size. Due to the width of the cups and the band warping the wires, I don't know if a 26HH is actually a cup too big or not. I just got an ewa michalal SF Iris in 55HH that fits perfectly, like PERFECTLY, the band is right in the sweet spot. I think it stretches to around 26.5", the cups and width are perfect too.

5.6” does seem wide compared to other 26HHs on here. I wonder if Sophia runs wider than some of the other styles or if maybe the scaling gets wonky at the upper end of the cup range.
I wish you could just buy 27 bands, that would make my life easier lol!

helpfulmarilynne - what is the cup/wire width on the SF Iris? For the Sophia, that's a really big diff between 5.6 and 4.9 (though not quite an inch like I guessed).
What I've learned (since I'm slightly omega and have been researching the hell out of this) is that the wire REALLY needs to nest to your IMF in order to stay up. In my mind I'm thinking that if the wire can give a tiny squeeze to the IMF it's like spooning or holding hands, but if the wire is wider or shaped wrong for the IMF it's like "byeeee."

The wire width of the iris is 5.2". There are fit pics of it on my profile, would you take a look at the fit and see if 26HH or H would fit better? Thank you so much for all your help, by the way. I really appreciate it.

I know! I'm so sad! Do you think that I'm a 26H or 26HH? I have an EM SF Iris that I think fits perfectly in my bradrobe, but I don't know if it is the right cup. The band is great, it's a bit looser than this one.

i am thinking that this bra does not have enough projection for you regardless of the cup size. Plus a 28 band would probable be a better fit for you if you want to ignore the empty space at the bottom.
-
I'm just worried about a 28 band feeling loose like all my other 28's. But maybe a KH 28 would stretch to 27" because the 26 stretched to 25"?

Folks who measure bras know that numbers on the tag don't mean much. A bra needs to fit your boobs not what your brain thinks the numbers and letters should be. I am a 28 band but buy Pleasure State bras in a 32 band so that they fit.
Check to make sure that your straps are loose, but perhaps try a clip to keep them together and not slipping off the shoulders given their width on your frame. That can change the projection of a bra as just discussed in a post
This bra does not fit in many areas of measurement. These cups are going to slide down your torso regardless of the band length as there is not enough projection at the wire. Spinning your wheels with this bra... but keep it if it is comfortable as I am sure that it looks fine under clothes.

I completely understand sizing up in the band for comfort, I happen to feel more comfortable and supported in a snugger band. I think I may just want to look for lor looser 26's or snugger 28's for my comfort. But I see what you mean about getting too number-oriented.
I ike your strap clip idea! I'll have to try that!
Unfortunately, while the band is only slightly too tight, the cup width and strap placement make this bra into a torture device, do I won't be keeping it. Thank you so much for all your help!

Thank you! Do you think the HH is too big or just too wide? And I'm super pale, so it's probably best to stay away from the abrielle. The height of the Sophia wasn't bad since I have rall roots, so maybe the abbie? And I definitely do not need anything fuller coverage than the sophia, so thanks for that info on the Vivian. I can't wait until they get plunges!
