Bra fitting help » Gaping top of cup 34g natori

Fabric gaps at the top of cup. Doesn't seem to support well- lots of tissue movement. I have been wearing 34dd the past year and 36d for several years before. This is the size recommended for this brand by Bratabase but maybe not the right cup - either size or shape. Any advice in other bras to try, is this cup size just too big?

helpfulFirstly, ensure that the underwire is sitting on the breast fold which is best done by holding the underwire and shimmying it up until it can't be raised anymore, and then check that the straps aren't too loose so that the bra stays in the right position. You should be able to put two fingers under them and it shouldn't feel too tight. This may more clearly show any fit issues.
There may be times when bras seem to fit correctly but there is gaping. This isn't necessarily indicative of a wrong cup size, and could be a shape issue. If the wires are lying flat in the middle and the wires encase all of the breasts tissue, yet there is slight gapping at the top of the cup it could mean that there is a shape incompatibility. Wearing a bra with less fabric on top like a balconette may fix this problem as full cups and plunge bras has more fabric at the top. You may simply not have the fullness at the top of your breasts that the bra expects.
With your current bra check to see if the straps are too loose. If you can pull them far off your shoulders then they're too loose.
