Bra fitting help » Wrong size? Wrong style?

Issue resolved
Sending back…padded styles just don’t seem to work for me. Going to try to exchange for a BM or SF style instead.
Original problem
Without the cookies, there is space at the top of the cups where the straps meet the cups. Thinking this means this is too tall for me?
Also, top of cups have space if the cookies aren’t in, but with the cookies in, they don’t.
Gore gaps away from sternum by 1 finger width (index).
Is this bra too big, too small, the wrong shape/style, or am I nitpicking too much and there isn’t a lot wrong with it?

helpfulI think it’s maybe a shape thing. I think it’s a tall gore and you’re close set...sizing up will not fit any better. You could just use the cookies if they help.

Some people just don’t get a tack. I think that if it’s comfortable and everything else is ok with the fit, keep it but keep looking. I do think maybe a PL would be better off as the gore is lower. Or, maybe try a Comexim 3HC with reduced gore.

helpfulohhhh, darn it!
Can I ask - how does this bra feel? What is your comfort level? Do you feel unsupported?
The gore really doesn't tack but I'm wondering if you can get away with it?

It *feels* okay, but I know it’s not perfect. Being padded, it just doesn’t have the amount of depth in the cup that I usually need, but when I look at the depth ratio it’s pretty spot-on for my other better fitting bras. It’s just like 1.5-2cm short of where I usually need to be for depth.
The gore tacking is definitely the main issue here, though. I think I may be too center-full for it because the wires/sides bring everything up front, and so I overflow in the middle, especially if I try to push the gore down- definite quadding in the middle when I do that.

ohhh, if you push the gore down and you have quadding ----> too small of a cup (unfortunately), amiright?
It seems like most people go up one cup in padded styles from unpadded? (I would never remember this) but I think you mentioned this on your post on Sunday.
I really like this bra on you, but yeah, I guess it's too small. http://i1.wp.com/brasandbodyimage.com/wp-content/uploads/Bra-fit-flowchart6.png (disclaimer: not sure that this graphic is the remedy of all bra fit issues, but it's a start!) -
BraOdyssey that's a pretty handy graphic! Especially for people who are new to the whole new bra size fitting stuff.

You’re probably right about sizing up, I should probably just save myself the time and effort of making an exchange for another size that also won’t be right.
Now the major debate is whether I keep it and deal with the fact that the gore will probably never tack or return it and come to terms with the fact that the S cut isn’t the right fit for me in EM bras…
