Issue resolved
Cup is too small
Original problem
The cup width is too narrow such that it’s pressing against some of my breast tissue. Also, there is wrinkling at both cups. Some quadding at the larger breast, whereas there’s some gaping at the smaller breast when I move around. The band rides up, which is not much of an issue since I can alter it smaller. I do not like how the bra pushes my breasts such that most of my breasts are very lifted such that there’s little breast tissue left at the bottom. It gives a bit of a weird shape. Additionally, the sides of the bra cause chaffing at my armpits. However I do like the high wing length and the support it provides, in comparison with a lot of the other bras I own.

helpfulThis looks severely undersized for you in the cup! I don't think you will be able to judge whether this is a good bra model to wear unless you are able to try it on in a larger cup size. If the bra is available in a larger cup size it could be worth a try, especially if you find it difficult to buy smaller band sizes where you live. I imagine you often need to alter bands!
What you refer to as "gaping" does not mean the cup is too large, it just means that the breast is too wide and deep to even settle into the cup in the first place, so the cup just floats ineffectually without containing it. Many people with a somewhat shallow breast shape greatly underestimate how much breast tissue is actually there and try on bras with cups that are too narrow, lacking vertical coverage etc. Also if you are sister-sizing to a larger band size due to lack of options in your own band size, remember you are apt to get a mismatch in grading because this bra is made for a woman with a torso that is about 5" bigger around than your own, meaning this hypothetical wearer that the bra was designed for has a wider front surface of chest wall for the bra to sit on and wider shoulders; on your smaller ribcage, the wires have to try to sit on a surface that curves back at the sides almost immediately, and this alters the fit quite a bit. In particular it will rob you of depth at the cup edge resulting in a bra that fits too shallow on the inner half of the breast.
You may also want to explore trying bra cups with a less rigid design, i.e. a seamed thin spacer material or an unpadded one, as opposed to the typical padded (or at least quite robust/reinforced cup material) pushup style, because pushup style bra materials are usually very unforgiving of different breast shapes and orientations.Updated on April 8, 2019 Flag this

helpfulI tend to be an impulsive buyer. Had many mishaps in the process...
Bottom line:
Chaffing occurs when materials slide over the skin in case of loose fit. But if you make it tighter, then, underwires spread and decrease the depth of the cups. Which is not what you need. The armpits section looks severely loose, the back band going up as a home sick angel would.
The underwires do not go deep enough under the armpits. Guess you could use more lateral scooping and deeper cup.
Please consider going higher on the letters and lower on the numbers.

Oh my. I am going to totally lose it with femineaaeterna and wendybien giving such great advice. It's like bra university. I'm almost wishing for bra mis-fits just so I can learn.
@N14iN5 listen to these experts!!!

Erm... AprilGoulding, thaks, but loose what precisely ?
LOL, have a super day ! -
Ohhh.. femineaaeterna it probably does not translate well. When we say "I am going to lose it" it means "I am going to go crazy". Depending on the context it can be bad or good. Here, it is good. The kind of knowledge that you and wendybien share really impresses me and I just like to absorb all of it.

Lol, AprilGoulding right, dictionary does not reflect the complete picture.
Dear, I came here to learn and it's truly a gold mine. So much experience, know how.
Bras are a fascinating engineering challenge.
Once back home in a few days I will post more of my own bra successes, mishaps, rants.
Rants : Yeah, I love to rant, example:https://femineaaeterna.blogspot.com/2018/12/get-me-out-of-m-bra-consequences-of.html
Have a glorious day, thanks 4 sharing,

@femineaaterna i read your post. It's very funny :) and very true.
I HATE moulded cups. They are insult to womanhood. I wore them for years after bteastfeeding to get the padding and mask asymmetry. When i had my breast lift and implants I swore i would never wear one again. I sometimes wear seamed padded bras but rarely...its seamed soft cups (with nipples poking through) almost all the time!!The last time my mother visited she was wearing a moulded cup bra in a band 2 sizes too big and cups 4 sizes too small..i told her to take that thing off as fast as possible and I gave her a seamed bra in her correct size. She told me , "it is pretty, but it is old fashioned. Like my mother used to wear, with lace and seams"
Yes, Mom. Back then, they did it properly. Wear those 65G tits with pride. Up front and center where they belong.

AprilGoulding right spot on. No wonder I often target them molded cups in my rants. Hwever. I'm new in here, don't really know what's the rantng etiquette or where to post them.
I have a dozen molded cup models, mainly curiosity impulse driven purchases. They don't get much wear and trear ;)
This said, I enjoy our exchanges, sorry if I bother you in the process ;)

Haha AprilGoulding. Yes, I have been known to rant.....alot.....! 💋💕

Heh yeah, except I feel like I should be grateful I get any bras at all and stay quiet. 😣

Sovavosi you're right, there's a wole pandora box of idignities.
Bras in prison or detention. Often classified as luxury, meaning inmates are provided none unless able to pay for. Or bring their own softcups. Or have none. Or... need no one.

wendybien thanks for your advice. Think I could try a 34F or maybe a 34E and alter the band smaller as I always do. Perhaps the best I can do with the chaffing would be to make the straps into a racer back style. Unpadded bras however don’t really seem to give me the smooth type of look I need as I often am wearing rather fitting clothes. But that would be a really great idea for when I’m wearing pullovers etc, baggier clothes. You also mentioned how the wires would be sitting on a curved surface. I couldn’t agree more!! No wonder I’m always having some pain or discomfort at my ribs. However my only solution for that is a Aimerfeel raku bra. It has really soft and bendable wires, however it’s a push-up bra, and once again doesn’t fit me too well. (Will upload details of it when I can). Overall, thanks a lot. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what sizes I should be going for, and don’t have the confidence to try. Letters such as F are so intimidating to me.
