Bra fitting help » Cup too big or shape mis match?

Issue resolved
It's probably just that I've lost more weight and this bra is currently too big for me. I'll wait until my weight loss is complete and try 1 or 2 cup sizes smaller.
Original problem
Hi all,
Ewa's SM used to be my best fitting bras but now that I've lost some weight (20 pounds or so), I'm not sure if the style still fits me.
Here I'm wearing a 70FF, which is a band and cup size smaller than I used to wear (75FF), but I don't get the lift I used to, and the top of the cup is a bit too loose.
For reference, I've added an old picture of me wearing the 75FF as well (the last one); that's the look I'm after.
Do you think going down another cup size would solve my problems, or has my shape changed and do I need to go looking for a different style of bra? If so, any suggestions of where to start?
I am wide set, projected, with very short roots. I used to be even to FoT, but I think I've lost some upper fullness.

helpfulThe cup looks either too big or too tall- without trying the next couple sizes down or more breast measurements it’s hard to know for sure.
The band looks fine to me. If it’s comfortable it’s a fitting band for you. So I would try 70F and 70E and see how they feel and fit. Good luck!

helpfulIt looks like the band is too big and the cup width may be as well but it was hard to tell with the pictures. If the cup width is too large it is going to be hard to get the lift you are after as the breast just spreads out more than it should. If you get a better fitting band and cup and still find that the lace gaps a bit with the loss of upper fullness, the lace can easily be tacked down for a smooth fit with a few stitches. Dead easy. Pin it down with you wearing it then try a few stitches.

Thanks for your answer! I think the band fits well; it is quite snug and doesn't ride up at all. With cup width do you mean the width of the wire? I checked it, and it seems ok, maybe a centimeter too wide but not more.
Any suggestions for other models I might get along with better?

Hmmm... You may want to check your measurements then as your stretched band measurement is longer than your loose rib cage measurement.
1 cm is still 1 cm too big in the cup width for me! With that much of a gap wires are riding on ribs with uncomfortableness and unnecessary flattening of my petite bosom. The girls need to be in the front not pushed to the side!
I do not know brands well enough to recommend. Good luck in adapting to a new shape. Sometimes we have to throw out old ideas of what we think our breasts are like though.

Bras are confusing! For years I thought I had it figured out, and now I can start all over again.
Is the stretched band supposed to be the same size as one's loose measurement? I have measured while stretching the band out to its maximum capacity, but I would imagine wearing it like that would be quite uncomfortable, would it not? I could try a smaller band size
And the additional cup width I have is not under my arms, but in the front. My breasts are very far apart (5 cm or so), so pretty much every bra I've ever owned has a technically too narrow gore. However, I don't mind this because it means bras push my breasts front and center, although I think you're right in that the may also be flattened out a little..

helpfulYour before&after loosing wait pictures in the Czarna Mgielka look exactly like mine. I got a new one in a smaller cupsize and now it fits again as it used to.
So try a 70F and 70E.Updated on August 24, 2019 Flag this

Super, thanks!! I love this bra so much so I'm willing to invest in a few new ones, but I was s bit scared of ordering from Poland and finding out they won't work.

Ok, I suppose you're right. The stupid thing is I just ordered this size 2 months or so ago, thinking breasts wouldn't shrink much anymore. I think it's probably best if I wait ordering new sizes until I've lost all the weight I want to lose, but that could be months away (I'm doing the slow and steady thing), and I don't like not having properly fitting bras. Dilemmas!
