Bra fitting help » This cup seems to small for me, as for the shape idk if it works or not
Cleo » Maddie Pop Moulded Balconnet T-shirt Bra (7741) » 28DD 28:5
I think it's safe to say that this is too small for me. I tried it on because I've had it stored for a while now and wanted to see if the fit was the same. I went from using 32A pushup bras to using a size 30DD push up bra. I seem to be FOT, close-set, and have an average root. I've been told that I have shallow breasts before but the bras I've tried for shallow breasts have not worked for me.

helpfulJudging by the numbers the cup itself is just much too small (you want a depth that is fairly similar to your lying-down breast perimeter). However, I also would not usually advise someone with your ribcage stats to wear a 28 band in Cleo, which has notoriously small bands to begin with. Even in quite a few other brands I would say you might often be better off in a 30. A lean torso has very little give and if the band is too small it will distort everything about the bra' fit. People with very large, heavy busts, especially if they carry a lot of body fat around the torso may benefit from going down to a band size that is roughly the same as their comfy rib circumference but fitting bras this way doesn't work well at all for people with a lighter bust and leaner body composition.
I'd put on an extender first to be better able to judge how much further up to go in cup size, or what kind of cup shape to look for in a different design if the shape is also incompatible.

helpfulCup depth is 6.7” and your perimeter is 8.1” so I’d say that it is substantially too sin the cup. Hard to say if it’s a shape issue until size is sorted out.

helpfulDefinitely stick to bras that are for FOT, tall rooted people like yourself. The Cleo Maddie is not one of these bras. I used to own them and it cut into my flesh too.
Also definitely size up to 30DD and see how it is.

helpfulSeconding the tip about the depth matching your breast perimeter and going with a 30 band. Although in my experience cup depth = horizontal perimeter is more consistent for unlined bras, and the measurements on lined or padded bras will run a bit smaller.
Based on your measurements, I would suggest that if you want to try another Maddie, you would be somewhere between a 30E and 30F. I have the 28DD Maddie and it fits me, but I feel the cups run a little small rather than TTS. Hence why the 30F might work even though it's several cup sizes up. Specifically in this style, I think 30DD would also be too small for you as it looks like you need to go more than one full size up.
But I think the Cleo Mimi 30E is closer to your measurements and would be a better fit for you.
