helpfulYes, many Natori bras run really small in the band. I've had some 32s by Natori that barely stretched to 28"! This one is definitely too tight on you. If you have an extender, use it to add another 1 to 2 inches to relieve the excessive band tension in order to try to get a clearer idea of the cup width. A band that is too tight will distort the cups, pull them flat against you at the base (see the wrinkling in the photos) and generally cause the wires and boning to dig into you uncomfortably. If the wire still hurts and pokes your side even when the band no longer feels tight, then the wire may be either too narrow or too tall (some people's breast tissue has a slanted outline under the arm so even if one 5.5" wide cup has a wire that hurts them on the sides, a different bra with a 5.5" wide underwire that ends lower down might work).
