Bra fitting help » Wrinkling which doesn’t improve with more padding
Tutti Rouge » Jessica Bra » 28DD 28:5
There’s wrinkling in both cups and it does not get any better with more cookies and padding. Should i go a cup size up or down? Wrinkling typically means the cup is too big but I feel that my tissue is encased really snugly in the cup.

helpfulWrinkling is a result of excess fabric and you’ll most often see this at the top of the cup when you don’t have enough volume to fill it, or you’ll see this in an overall baggy cup. Pulling is a result of too little fabric due to the seam being cut in the wrong shape, and you’ll see this in places where you have too much volume for the fabric to accommodate. Think about the difference between baggy pants (wrinkling) and pants that pull across the front or seat (pulling).
From the lines visible in the fabric from the bottom of the cup to the top and your descriptions that extra padding doesn’t help, it looks like pulling. This bra is probably cut with too much projection near the cleavage and not enough room on the outside of the breast (which may be improved if the bra had an inner sling built in, to push the breasts together). My guess is that this is a shape problem with the cup being designed for a pointier breast shape rather than a round one, but if you really wanted to try this bra in another size, I would recommend sizing UP a cup size.
The seams themselves look even and there is no puckering, so I doubt it is workmanship. If the bra looks fine on the flat, it’s not the seams.

I join you on this one belleandblues .
Have a white supermarket grade very similar to this model bra. Same wrinkles, same weak for the purpose shallow wings.
Didn't work well until with time I had more "side mass" to swoop and gather towards the center.
Guess this model would work at once on softer more maleable volumes.

femineaaeterna N14iN5 , I realized that I was also having similar problems with my Freya Fancies Plunge Bra in the same size. I just adjusted the underwires and that helped a lot to correct the problem of the cup fitting strangely despite being the right size. I just posted a guide here: https://www.bratabase.com/adventures/entry/18701/
I am also starting to think that plunge cut bras tend to have more fit issues at larger and smaller ends of the fit spectrum due to grading. Most bra companies will have their sample size and then grade up and down around them, but that can cause some problems with the proportions. Basically, they're assuming the breast tissue shape and distribution is the same across all sizes, but that's not really true IRL. So while the cup volume is correct for your size, the shape is probably not going to be correct for a lot of people.
If you look in the photo galleries of other plunge bras in the smaller cup sizes, you see drag lines like crazy, and the bras don't start fitting anyone like they're supposed to until you get to slightly larger cup sizes. It's just something I've noticed as I'm checking out different models. Hope this helps!

I realised that the bra wrinkles because it’s being pulled by my not so malleable side breast tissue. However because the wires seem to fit just nice I don’t think altering it would make it better, but perhaps create more problems. belleandblues femineaaeterna

helpfulThis cup is definitely too big for you - your breasts aren't deep enough to fill the bra at it's apex (deepest part).
You could size down but it may then be too small everywhere else - indicating that this bra is a shape mismatch for your breasts.

Actually i think it is more likely to be a shape mismatch. It seems like the top breast tissue is pushing the fabric down and away.

It could also be a faulty bra. Sometimes the seams are simply sewn wrong and no amount of cookies, padding, or size enhancements will get it to go away. :-/ If possible, I would try it in a store (or online if free shipping/returns are available) in the same size, plus a size up and down to compare how the fit changes.
To me, the wrinkling looks like faulty seams.....

helpfulI am getting the sense that cut and sew bras might be giving you too much apex projection. Have you tried Natori, specifically I’m thinking Natori Feathers Contour Plunge Bra (730023) and I’m thinking 30D maybe. The band runs snug and it’s really made for someone with your shape.

I would love to give it a try. However it’s not within my budget for now.

I get it. They are expensive.

Perhaps there is an issue with too-tight straps that are creating excessive wrinkles that do not respond to padding. The straps also appear to be too wide set for your frame contributing to the direction of the vector force. Not sure about the cup width from the pictures that you provide. But overall, I agree that it is not the best fitting bra for you.
