Issue resolved
Returned the bra. The lace was a bit itchy too.
Original problem
I’m experiencing too much gaping on the top. No idea if it’s a shape mismatch or what. Soma 36C fits me decently in moulded cups. I want to try unlined but even previously when I tried Wacoal unlined in 34DD, I had wrinkles in the cup. I did the scoop and swoop method. It appears to hold everything tightly for some time but then things rearrange after a while and then there’s this annoying gap.
I also have this problem in other decently fitting bras I have. When I stand, I see no gaping, but when I sit, the cups come forward and looks ugly under a T-shirt.

helpfulWhat a beautiful bra! If this was my bra and the cup width was a good fit along with anything else that you are concerned about, I would put a few stitches near the gore to tuck down the excess fabric in the top of the cup. I have done this on a few of my own bras and have been pleased with results. A custom alteration that gives a great fit for a lovely printed bra that you would otherwise be unhappy with. Keep in mind that any stitches you put in can be taken out if you need to change it. Good luck!
You could also do the alteration underneath the flowers closer to the bra strap.

helpfulIs it possible you have short roots? Based on your description of how it fits and your vertical measurements vs your horizontal measurements, I'd say it looks like you may have short roots. I have short roots, so I have gaping at the top in some bras even when they fit the rest of my boobs. I sometimes have to size down (unless that causes too much compression, but my boobs are pretty squishy so it's not a problem usually), or just keep trying brands/styles until I find one that works. I try to stick with bras that have a shorter cup height (5.5-6.5").

Thank you! This is very helpful. I also have wide roots. So unfortunately when I size down, the underwire sits on my side boob.

SageMe yeah, sizing down doesn't always work. I've tried on quite a few bras over the years. You can see my profile pics if you want. Most of the ones that just show the bra were ones I sold, but there are pictures of boobs in bras if you click in them. It may help to see how things fit on me to get an idea of what might work for you. I have short and narrow roots.
