Issue resolved
Two cup sizes too small
Original problem
My boobs are pushing the lace down and it's cutting in. Also the band hurts. My new bra size said 32FF, but I feel that's maybe too much? Really not sure what to try. Any tips would be appreciated!

helpfulHi,
This looks several sizes too small in the cup. The Andorra is a full cup bra and should cover up much more breast. The pointy shape you have is due to the top of the cup cutting in and pushing your tissue down.
I would try at least a GG cup. It is a lovely bra and the stretch lace tends to mean it fits alot of shapes. I personally found it gives a nice rounded shape when it fits correctly.Updated on January 20, 2021 Flag this

The Panache Clara fits very like the Andorra, that maybe worth a try. I love the Andorra and Clara but the gores are too high, and they lack enough projection for me. I only wear Comexim now.
-
Oh I'm in love with Clara's design, I will definitely try it out. I do get a bit of wrinkling on the bottom of some of my padded bras so I have been wanting to try something with a bit more projection but I don't know where to start with Comexim.

Do you order your UK size for Comexim? I saw on Breakout Bras that it's recommended to go up 2 cups (they list the bras in UK sizes). And I'm not sure if I should listen to that once I know better what size I need to try in general.
-
I am not sure about Breakout bras as I am in the UK, so I order direct. Post brexit now though so I will see how much extra I get charged 😬 I wear a uk 28h/hh and in Comexim a 60L. The band is super firm! I have an extra 1cm cup depth added aswell, as I need extra projection, but even that is not quite enough in a few I have. I think the larger your cup size, the more cups you would go up, as Comexim cups only go up in 2cms rather than 2 inches. I guessed my size from reading through bratabase and reddit. If you can order from breakout bras and return, then I would do that first.
-
Ok, that's very helpful! Thank you! I will probably try the returns and see what fits best before ordering directly

If I was to try Comexim would a 65H or HH be a good starting size to try?I'm looking at their padded plunge style.
-
A lot of people say the plunges fit bigger than the hlf cups, I personally do not have to size down for them. I only have one plunge, puime notte, which is beautiful and so well made. I prefer the 3hc cut, as the cups are lower and I am only 5’1. If you can order both sizes, that would be best. If you try a half cup, the 2hcs are very shallow as are some of the 3hcs, its abit hit and miss. I find having the extra cup depth added, solves this. If you do order let me know how you get on.

Just to add, the Freya deco does fit some people. When it does, it is a brilliant shape, has excellent lift. I used to be a GG and the deco fit me brilliantly (on the tighest hook). Pre Comexim it is the only bra I ever found comfortable. The low gore, but slightly higher centre cup, was perfect for my close set, centre full and full on top shape. It was the only plunge I never fell out off. I did get a little creasing in the base of the cup, but it never really bothered me. For some people it is an amazing bra. Steer clear of the model variations if you try it, as some are very shallow. The original deco is the best.
I had to give up on it as my cup size increased and the stretchy band was always too big ( my underbust is 26.5) I was replacing ine every month! -
I'm not much taller, 5'3" so I want to try the 3hc cut. I'm not a fan of cups coming up high. That's partly why I've gone for so many half-cups. Oh I will keep that in mind if I order a half-cup, I'm not sure how shallow is too shallow for me but I've had one bra that was so shallow it creased badly and I've been scared to try another bra from that brand lol!
I think I'll try a plunge by Comexim first, and I will let you know! And I will see if I can try both sizes.
I love the shape plunges give but I've never had one fit well. (I've only had two) I just realized that the Freya Deco Plunge I have is the Spotlight version. So I've never actually tried the original. Now I have a reason to try it. The band is very stretchy. I would have gone down in the band size if I could have but rn with a little bit of quarantine weight it won't matter that I can't. Once a month is pretty fast! Yikes.
-
I have never tried the spotlight, but the wild crushed me flat, it was so shallow!
Good luck with the Comexim! If you need more projection in the plunge, you will defo need added depth in the 3hc. My plunge creases slightly on my bigger side, but not enough to be a bother. -
Thank you! I am really excited to try them when they come ☺️
I'm so glad I decided to ask for fitting help, I was really unsure what to try next. -
souxies I ordered a bra and I really love the feel of it. Sadly I ordered the wrong size 🙄 I was confused with the Breakout Bras way of measuring. Anyway I will post a fit request since I'm not sure if I need to go down a cup or two. They label Comexim bras in UK sizes. But say to size up one or two cups. They told me the 30G was a 65HH which sounded right except for their size up advice. So they suggested I order a 30H. Yay for free returns and exchanges! I'm just not sure if I should exchange for what they call a 30G or a 30FF
-
Vintagelady I will keep an eye out for the fit request. Free returns are amazing! Mine are all custom from Comexim, so none returnable . I have only had 3 faliures though, out of 10. I also had one replaced for free by the lovely Joanna at Comexim.

helpfulI agree with the other commenter that this is obviously many sizes too small. Which is why you are getting such an odd shape. Panache Andorra (and other all over stretch models) are some of the best first timers ones to try. It adapts to all shapes and cab either be extremely projected or average projection. Wires tend to be too narrow for wider, shallower ladies. I think you should go up a minimum of 2 cup sizes as the whole bottom half of the cup is barely covering like a quarter of your breast tissue. I also think the issue with the band and any digging will go away once you are in a much better fitting cup. Try reordering 30GG and 32G. I think you might like Fantasie full cup bras. Try the 30G in Fantasie. Though if you narrow down your size in Panache Andorra it is extremely useful information for fitting other bras. I have noticed that on your page that you have found yourself fitting in Cury Kate padded models, but there are no pictures. Comparing how this fits you to how that fits you would make it easier to pick recommendations for you. I was afraid to try even a D cup when I first started on my bra journey, many people are they're afraid they are going to be so big they end up chronically buying bras that are far too small. Are you going through the same thing? I also have a feelin that you may like Bravissimo bras. I feel the same way about your other fit check. The bra is set too wide for you (straps cutting in bad) while the cup is also far too small for you in that check. Have you always had this issue with bras or just since you started your well fitting bra journey?

Thank you, I think in my head two more cup sizes up from a 30F is bigger than it actually is so I imagine it being too big when it probably wouldn't be.
I wish I had taken pictures of the Curvy Kate bras when they fit me, but as I've gain a bit of weight they are too small except for one. I will post pictures of the only one that currently fits. I found that their newer half-cups didn't fit me as the old ones did which is why I started trying different brands and styles.
This is my first full cup bra so I didn't really know how high it should be, I usually wear half-cups. And this is my first Panache.
I will try a 30GG and a 32 G to see which fits how it should.I've never tried Fantasie so thank you for the recommendation! Bravissimo as well, I have looked but not bought their bras.
I was wearing a 34C when I became frustrated with the band always rising up. I thought it was just old but when I looked up how to measure for a bra my measurements gave me a 30F. My first buy was Curvy Kate Ritzy. And it turned out the cup was too big so I went to a 30E in Curvy Kate half cups and it was perfect. After that I bought Freya Deco and a Cleo bra also in 30F. They fit but not well. Cleo was too shallow and Freya Deco Plunge was too firmly shaped and cut into my boobs while also having them fall out lol.
-
The Deco barely fits anyone lol. Most women end up wearing cup size too small to avoid gaping at the top of the tall, rigid cups.
How do you feel about the width of the bra on your other fit check? Does it feel like the wire is extending beyond your breasts under your arm? Does this one feel like the wire is sitting on any breast tissue under your arms?
Is there are reason you have mostly tried padded bras? -
On the Marks and Spencer bra that I've marked as completed yes, the wires extended way too far out under my arms. On the Curvy Kate Ritzy, the wire is not on my tissues it's just about right. I think it could move in about a pinky finger size in and then it would be on my tissues.
Purely because I thought a padded bra would make better t-shirt bras. I also was scared to try an unpadded as my first because I thought it might be less forgiving than a padded.

helpfulAgreed that it is way too small. I’m a 30F/FF and need cups that are 9.5-10” deep. My perimeter is 9” on one and 10-10.5” on the other, so the 9.5-10” is an average, especially as I am softer and full on bottom. Your perimeter is 9” and 11” so I would say you need at least 2 cup sizes up. Being full on top you might need more.

Thank you, I was really wondering about that. It's helpful since you wear this size too. Everyone has convinced me that 2 cups up is where to start! I'm going to look for bras that are better for full on top to I can maybe avoid any quad-boob problems there. I'm going to keep those measurements in mind and see if I can find reviews on bras I'm looking at which mention measurements.

Thank you so much! That really helps me a ton! Would you recommend any other styles or brands that fit different shapes nicely like this and are unpadded?
