Bra fitting help » Good style or no? Good band/cup fit or no?
Elomi » Matilda Plunge Bra (8900) » 40GG 40:10
While the cups fit my breasts wonderfully (fill cup to top and gore tacks fully down), the band feels quite tight on me. Not sure if it is because of the fit or style of bra that might not be working out. I purchased the 40H size of this and will also be asking for fit help to see if that fits me better or not. The 40H does not quite fill up or tack to sternum, but it is really quite comfortable (at least can breathe).
Not sure if the style is appropriate for my breast shape either. Question if the cups are too shallow because of the wrinkles on the side but I have really heavy breasts.

helpfulyou've got a big wrinkle/gap at the bottom of the cup, most likely you need more immediate projection.
the band is probably feeling tight since your loose measurement is 40. You can either wear these 40 bands with an extender for a while (I tend to do this) or size up in the band.
the 40H is definitely too big, and you also have shorter roots it looks like, which is why you'll get gaping at the top, but with short roots that's something we often can't escape, so personally I just focus on the rest of the cup fitting.
If you like Elomi I'd recommend Kim instead, it's more projected than Matilda. But you might do better in Panache Jasmine or something with a little more projection overall.

helpfulApart from some min/maxxing details that you described and alidieux' previous input, I think this looks pretty darn good!
If it's comfortable to wear (with an extender perhaps at first), I'd certainly stick with this size for Matilda.
When searching for a bra that fits it's always a balance between finding what you need versus what's available - and for a non-tailored bra this seems to fit you very nicely (and the color is lovely I think!)

helpfulThis is too big for you for sure, at least 1 size, maybe 2. You can tell by how far out the wire is from your IMF (the place underneath where the breast attaches to your ribs) and all the wrinkles and folding on the sides. Try the 40G, or better yet, one of the comfy and short-root friendly Elomis like the Lydia, Etta, or Charley. I'd try any of those in 40G and 40GG if you can. All three of those models are bandless, so they are way more comfortable on the ribs and way friendlier toward your shape!
If it helps, I have similar breasts. I do not think you have wide roots or low-set breasts at all. Looking at your pictures here and for other bras, here's what I see:
-Extremely close-set—maybe not even one finger's space between them at all.
-Extremely projected
-Narrow
-Short root height
-High set, or maybe average placement but consistently wearing way too big of a cup size (common issue with Omega and very projected shapes; you have to check your fit on the bottom and size down until there's no more wrinkles or folding under your breast)
-Very likely Omega shaped (short and narrow roots with big round breasts that widen and heighten like a balloon out from your chest wall, if that makes sense)
-Possibly FOB, however you're probably "functionally" even or FOT due to short root and high placementI've tried an insane number of Elomi bras and a handful of Polish ones, so feel free to check my profile. I'm still learning about my own breast characteristics, so forgive any outdated reviews.
