Bra fitting help » A bit tight still
Natori » Feathers Contour Plunge Bra (730023) » 32DD 32:5
Issue resolved
The next two sizes came in the mail. I also am going to consider a brand/style that is not as shallow.
Original problem
1. It still seems a bit small but now that it is close I am hoping to get more specific feedback. Thank you to all of you who keep helping me!
A. I feel like it fits my left breast okay but is still a bit small on my right breast (the larger one). Thoughts?B. Now that the cups are close and not messing with how it fits I am curious about the band. This feels a bit better but still too small. I am unsure if that is because I have always worn bands that are too large, because it is new and will relax a bit after wear, or if it is indeed too small. All the 32s I have tried feel small. Can you look at the pictures and give me some feedback?
2. Is the style right? I chose this bra at the suggestion of it fitting a shallower chest, which it was suggested I have. How is it looking for shape?

helpfulI honestly think that this bra is just too shallow for you, you're wrinkling at the botyom of the cup. The band may feel too tight because you're not used to it, when I switched from 32 bands to 30's and 28's they felt super tight. Now I can wear tight 28 bands with no problem.

Exactly! So that bra doesn't have enough immediate projection for you. Meaning that your boobs are fighting their way to the top where there's more space, thus the quadding on your larger side.

I generally agree. I would note, though, that bras should make us happy and comfortable, and if you feel like this 32 (or 32s in general) are too tight, there's no problem with deciding to wear a 34 or wearing an extender with your bras until they stretch out a bit--especially in this size range, where generally not as much support is required. I start to be less useful here as I'm not in this size range and I have quite a different shape, but so I've heard, Natori Feathers is for the shallowest of shallow breasts, which it doesn't seem like you quite are. If I had to guess, I'd say you have more average to slightly/somewhat wide roots. This page https://bustyresources.fandom.com/wiki/Bra_sizing_by_company on the busty resources wiki outlines which brands tend to make which width wires. After that, I can't really say, because I haven't been '

bustyand thank you! Yes, there is no shame in sizing up in the band or wearing extenders. Comfort should ALWAYS be the priority in a bra. It's literally the reason most of us go down the proper bra rabbit-hole.

helpfulMaybe you should still size up by a cup size? The cup depth is still smaller than your measured breast perimeter. If there is wrinkling it could also be that the cup size is small. It does look like a better fit than your previous bras!

I have a 34D and 34DD on their way. I still think this might be a bit too shallow but that should probably be the last round for this model, one way or the other.

How about Wacoal or Aerie bras then? Bit more projected than Natori.

Thanks for the continued help happycat . I have heard that Wacoal has some funky sizing. Do you know if that is true? I think I am getting better at using the database here to find things that might be good options but I still have a long ways to go.

Thank you for the feedback marilynne . So the wrinkling means I need just a bit more space at the bottom of the cup?
