Bra fitting help » Cups feel close in shape but tight and loose at same time
Panache » Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675) » 28FF 28:8
Issue resolved
I've finally received a panache Ariza which resolved all of the weird fit problems I've been getting in every size of Andorra for years (cup is deeper, open and lower set with a shorter armscye that doesn't saw into my armpit).
(original assessment) Avoid this model, brand.
Original problem
Wires match imf shape and size, cup measurements are what I've been looking for in a bra, straps finally long enough to not dig, band is a little loose for a 28". The entire thing feels really unsupportive, cups bind and wires hurt. What is going wrong here?

helpfulHi there!
I feel like this may be a) too large for you (which is why it might feel unsupportive) and b) too 'heavy duty' (not scaled well for size) which might explain why it hurts? For me at 32G/GG, Panache wires are often too firm as well - I call it the tack of death
Some people prefer it but if you don't, it's torture!Visually, I'm noticing some mismatch between your breast shape and the bra's coverage.
Perhaps you'd do better in a style with more flexible wires, and not necessarily full cup but balcony or plunge? Curvy Kate and Freya come to mind, as a suggestion.

helpfulI think you need a shallower and potentially smaller cup based on how this is fitting. It's a pretty deep bra so hard to say for sure.

Oh it's a goner, no more andorra in any sizes as I hate how it turnt out! No more flattening fake out full coverage's after this. If you say it's deep I'll believe you but wow it did not feel 'deep enough' and just kind of shocked about it all.
Can you think of anything close to 6.25" wide which has about 10.5" to 11" depth? This one felt really tight except the spot just above nips,& it's started on last hook tho super stretchy, wires start riding up over the bottom of boobs. I'd used to be able to get away with natori's full fit line around 2010, but their biggest sizes are way to little in the cup and they won't make 26-28 bands. I don't know of any other brands with that kid of width that do not flatten the breast and force it out all around :( I do like gorsenia's just roomy enough support, but they are also tight in the lower outer cup & hard to come by. -
Sadly, I’m not familiar with that size range. It might be worth searching by measurement for sister/aunt sizes and seeing if your size fits similarly. Maybe it’s just that no one has added your size of that bra yet. Also definitely explore other sizes near yours in general! I often find the right dimensions in a totally different cup size.

I dug about and finally found the part of this site where I can just punch in measurements. a lot of 28H/30G/32FF. This place is amazing! Thank you for making that suggestion, it hadn't occurred to me (probably as it also has only given me 2 recommendations, one a rare hard to find brand, and the other a mismatch spacer).

I'm so glad! I hope you can find some good ones!

I think I’ve tried about a dozen Andorras not too far from your size range. This style creates a more retro, duck bill shape, so while it is deep, it is not a rounded shape. That’s probably why it feels tight and loose at the same time.
I like the Envy a lot better, have you given that one a try?

I'm calling around to see what shops are getting the new range from panache in sub-30 bands & it's on the top of the list. My craving for fuller coverage & smaller cup letters is probably just instinctual as the only things that ever fit have been open half cups, and oddly carry a lot of volume above the nips to collarbone. Most things push too much upward and lots of overflow around side & inner, not in a sexy way (containment breach). In the meanwhiles I've got some bm's from ewa michalak on the way, and going to experiment with patterns from my katherine hamiltons (sophia is so close for depth but not quite arrived, so to speak).

Holly_By_Golly it sounds like you’re at least functionally FOT and/or shallow, like me! You would never know from my measurements or how I look unsupported, but that is exactly my issue/best style, too. If you find something that works, please do @ me to share! I’m having a hard time finding bras in this style that aren’t discontinued.

Omg if I knew I'd be that the crazy on the corner, preaching it like the end times grrrl! Just tryna be flat and in a c cup like everyone thinks my bras should be, but where dey at doe? For 'not having boobs' damn if these things don't take up all the room, create internal quadding and hard stress line on the sides/lower cup, then demand more with a vengeance. Got by for a few months with Gorsenia's glorious full-friendly fit- but all balconettes & only even upper at best. Currently less shitty fits: open top 28G/GG Ewa Michalak CH/CHP, acceptable 28H & 28JJ Comexims Anna Pardel (divine depth) and unlined Sirene I'd tucked some height down into the wire-now deepest part hits where I need it. Custom wire modd'ed 28H Katherine Hamilton Simone has even more depth than C's Anna Pardel & hasn't collapsed on the sides- Sophia sometimes accepts me sometimes has a shitfit under the sling, Abbie, Ellianna & Abrielle are shallower/tighter in the cup around wire but still better fullness than loads of ok brands (size up?). Am horizontally huge upper chest to shoulder, descending within inches to tiny ribs throws off my dense/fibrous shape bad- so tissue goes halfway back, short yet goes straight up to collarbone in a deep C without visible upper pole or cleavage: all side volume displaces directly up & over the cup sideways, or rolls directly to inner upper cup (well, out of the cup) when leaning. Looser skin than internal mass. There's about 4" projection difference from laying to leaning hidden in there somewhere. Most terrible fits in cleo, curvy kate, panache, fantasie, chantelle, even freya- but hold out hope on the last one because small letter + just enough space

Holly_By_Golly dying at “containment breach”! Best of luck in your search!

Got it! So striking full coverage off the list if they cannot do 'large, rounded' & only flatten one's shape this hard. Andorra surprised me as I'm close set but not inner full, and it Really didn't like that. The wires in the gore were flipping outward and rising over each other like someone twiddling their thumbs. I must've been lucky with my 32G Katherine Hamilton's, the fit is fantastic and tho wires bit tall tacked great & never hurt me- I did find their wires curve inward on top so that probably hurts those with taller roots. So far Freaya has sucked, though have been on a mad hunt for Fearne & Polly as they felt closer, and while Curvy Kates look gorgeous they hurt like hell at gore & dig in armpit crazy- if anyone should match them I'd think this shape would? I think they must be just drafted with straight lines and zero curves, I stick right out from ribs and am all curve, except across center where my breasts are a slight curved arc not conical. I'm at odds w/ comexim, even in 60J which just wide enough for my almost 11" wide breasts, the bottom is very tight and diagonally crumples in tho general depth is divine, scared to ask for them for a half, half cup style & get the flat part without lovely depth. My lifetime struggle with bras is the cups are RIGHT ON ME in the middle of my really wide breasts & sit on my boob at the outside. Not a little but like... inches left out on both sides. No amount of scooping has helped them stay in the middle of my chest where the cups are, since they are stupid wide & every brands wires are just kind of way too small for my imf. Dumb big flat circles that run wider than the U wires. If I size up in the band 3 or 4 sizes I can get away with an E or F around 34 or 32, then take in the bands & sometimes pinch out the little narrow duck bill in the center, but it's a really sad 'fix' for the situation. I think it's my 20" across shoulders paired with a 27" wide conical ribcage, either the frame and wires work or the cups work but never both at once. At least straps never fall off.
