Bra fitting help » Band fits, bottom of the cup fits, top seems a little loose

Issue resolved
Shape mismatch. Need more side support to centre my breasts and avoid gapping at the top of the cup.
Original problem
The band seems to be fine and the wires are sitting well. Width of wires seems to be good. The top lace is loose, especially when I move my shoulders inward (if that makes sense?) wondering if this is a fit issue due to wrong sizing (should I go down a cup?) or if I should be looking for a different shape in general for my breast type/shape? Any help appreciated!

helpfulI think this is very close to fitting! I'd try it one size down, because it might be a unicorn... but if not, it should help pinpoint your shape. I suspect it may just be too deep, but it might be perfect in another size down.
Also, how much are the straps tightened? It looks like your shoulders are carrying a lot of the weight, so I think this is definitely either too big or too deep.

I think the band is probably okay? It's hard to tell, but I don't see anything glaring in the band fit just from this. There's no harm in going down to a 32G as long as you have an extender, though. :) (32G = 34FF)

Agreed, it looks close, at least in size. I don’t see any issue with the fit of the underwires. How do they feel on you?
You can try sizing down one cup, but in my experience this type of Freya cut is best suited for shapes that are round, fuller on top, and firm/self-supporting. The cup doesn’t seem to be built to provide any lift from the bottom, so it can’t really push you up to fill the upper section of the cup. If you have more of a teardrop shape, this is just how this style will look.

belleandblues yeah that’s definitely my shape and I was thinking the same thing. I would like something with a little more lift to get a more rounded shape and I’m definitely fuller on the bottom. This sort of just keeps things where they are which is fine, but I’d prefer something that had more lifting and shaping. Do you have any suggestions for a teardrop/bottom heavy shape to get a more rounded effect?

superstew Have you tried a 3HC style? Vertical seams that go the full way up and down the cup are lifting. Basically, the seams on a bra tell you how it is designed to shape you. If you want more lift, a 3 piece half cup is a great way to go!
Personally I love the Comexim ones but as long as it is this style, it should work :)
I forgot to mention that if a 3HC style is too open at the top for you, you can try the 4 piece cup that has 3 vertical seams at the bottom but a horizontal panel at the upper cup, which can help hold you in better than an open cup.

helpfulShape mismatch. I have wide and full on the bottom boobs as well. I am a 32h/hh uk or 30j uk. Side support bras are best for your shape. You can try elomi Morgan in 34h uk. I have this bra in 32hh uk. I had to shorten the band because it was too long. Your rib cage measures 34 inches around. Your bust is 11 inches. Every inch is a letter in cup sizes. Your correct bra is 34h uk. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I didn't think the straps were /too/ tight. I tightened them a little but I didn't feel that they were putting a huge amount of pressure on my shoulders or anything, I'd say they're definitely firm but not tight. If I size down would I just be going to a 34FF? Or would I need to make a change to my band as well? Thank you for your help :)
