Bra fitting help » Strap slips off 1 shoulder
Elomi » Matilda Plunge Bra (8900) » 38G 38:9
I love this bra. After I've been wearing it a while, I notice that the strap slides off my left shoulder. If I tighten the strap, it's too uncomfortable.

helpfulIf you love it that is great! The fit is not ideal but the challenges to find that great fit can be daunting. Your left shoulder is slightly depressed in comparison to your right shoulder. When you combine that with a bra and a band that is too wide for your frame, the left shoulder strap is going to loose out. Tightening the strap will place strain on a shoulder that is already compromised anatomically. The straps already are placing extra load on your shoulders with the too long band. Trying a clip to draw the straps together in the back can help. Or try a bra with better measurements for your body. Of course, it may be that the band has stretched out over time and no longer has support for you!

helpfulHey! It's been a minute since you posted. In looking over your photos, I noticed your bra has the option to clip the shoulders straps together. Have you explored this option? It will require fiddling with the straps and it is not for everyone. I've also found the little garters that join the straps at the back to be helpful. (I have sloping shoulders and bras that are perfect in the cups never leave the store if the straps are too wide.) If you look up the Matilda bra in the browse option, would the sister size with a step down in the band and a step up in the cup still work for you? Finally, I just visited a little shop when I was traveling and they introduced me to something: there are molded foam cups that can go under the strap of a shoulder that is lower. Hope you find what works for you!
