Help with determining breast shape/full ess/root height and width. I guessed on some of these - trying to determine so I can make sure I'm looking at bras that fit my shape etc.
The wires are sitting below my IMF - when I tighten the straps, the wires feel uncomfortable in my IMF.
For some reason, the bands always feel more comfortable when they sit (too) low on my back. Not sure why??
Any help is very much appreciated!

helpfulI'm guessing you're more comfortable wearing the band that low in the back because that's where you're a bit smaller? So the band has more space, when it's a bit lower down. It does still look kind of strained in the back pic, so going a band size up (at least in this particular bra) could be a good idea.
Alternatively you could use a bit more room in the cup (a small-ish cup will also feel tighter in the band). Your measurements seem to indicate that your tissue is on the softer side, which makes it easier to 'squish' them into a size that might in fact be too small.
Maybe try a 34E or 32F in this bra, or look for bras in a similar size range with slightly roomier measurements?
Also, perhaps re-evaluate some of your measurements - since the laying perimeter is meant to measure a single breast circumference when lying down, which makes
91.4 cm unlikely?Overall, going by these pics I'd say you're pretty close set, softer tissue, average root height & width if that helps at all - I'm not an expert!
Good luck (:

helpfulNot an expert but I have been trying bras for a few years. So gaping where the straps attach to the cup I think is just typical for some of us, I'm sure someone smarter knows exactly what it means and what kind of bra would work better but honestly I've tried on and measured at least 36 bras for bratabase so far and I think 95% of them cause that on me. I am personally prioritizing other fit issues that are more painful or unsupportive because the gaping has not caused any pain.
I seem to have a similar breast shapes to you and I get the same issue that you have in your first picture. The wire is sitting to low and there are many different reasons however because you say you have a pendulous shape (like me) I believe that means we need more projection in the cups. So what is happening is there isn't enough room in the fabric right above the wire for the breast so the wire gets pushed down until the breast has enough fabric (cup depth). If this is the problem then you need a bra with more immediate projection. Here is a NSFW link from the r/abrathatfits beginners guide to determining shallow vs projection https://i.imgur.com/N8mnDf0.jpg and here is a SFW image https://i.imgur.com/bWB2PGd.png
Using myself as an example in the first image I look most similar to bust D.
I'm still working on understanding my root height and width (which seems almost impossible as a plus size gal) this is an article I read today that I thought was very thorough and since you don't seem to have extra weight in the band area I think it should be easier for you to determine https://hugsforyourjugs.blogspot.com/2022/08/are-you-overfitting-your-wires.html
Basically this person recommends lifting up the breast then directly smushing it on your chest and looking at it from the side in a mirror. You are looking to see a crease or line of some sort, if you can't try pushing the smushed breast toward your armpit. Even with my extra fat I was able to approximately find a line where some tissue just would not go past. For root height use the same smushing method but try to also push up, this was much easier for me to see. When using these methods I saw it recommended to use an eyeliner (I just used a sharpie) to mark these spots. Then you can put on this bra or any bra and see how it lines up.
I hope some of this is helpful!

helpfulYeah, I really dislike when the straps are too far apart, too.
If the band rids up in the back, that means that the band is too loose; I personally prefer a tight band (or "firm band") bc it feels more supportive, but to each their own. Since your comfortable rib cage is 30", you might want to try on 30 bands then. Since you said that you have close-set boobs, you might want to try out some Polish brands (my obsession! But don't let me influence you)I don't understand what you meant by "wide boobs" b/c they don't appear that way from pic #3 (not that I can tell) and usually when a person has close-set breasts, they also have narrow roots.

Thank you so much for the input! I have ordered this and a few other bras in 32 - hopefully those fit a bit better. Oh and I thanks for pointing out the incorrect measurement - will re- do that!
