Bra fitting help » Cups are filled, but the wire seems too wide

Issue resolved
The cup size was too large; I went down a cup size.
Original problem
The cups are filled out but the wire sits behind my breast tissue;
My tissue is also wrinkled inside the cups and the very top has some mild gaping when I raise my arms. The band is comfortable, but rolling a bit. I understand this particular bra model is apparently a very niche one to fit, but I don't know if the issue is shape, size, or both.

helpfulI think that this is a bit too large in the cup (because cup wrinkling, wide wires, tall digging gore). Have you tried 40FF or 40G for comparison?

That logic does check out. But paradoxically the combo of quadboob + bra sliding is common when bras are too big in the cup! See this helpful album: https://www.bratabase.com/albums/77o/ And the ABTF calc is more likely to overestimate for people with large cup/band sizes--it overestimates me by three cup sizes, for example.

That makes a lot of sense! I'm going to try out some other sizes, thanks so much :)
(hoping I'm responding in the right place, I'm new here 😅)
My previous bra was a 42F, the band was too big and it gave me quad boob (enough that I thought I could justify going up two cups) and didnt sit in my IMF. My ABTF measurements put me in a 40G/GG, man I have no idea what logic I was using. In my head 42F is 40FF sister size, so 40FF would be to small, not enough cup volume. It would've logically made more since to try the 40G first.
Thank you for the feedback, TLDR, no I didn't really try them, I guesstimated.
