Issue resolved
Search for bra with different shape and in a larger size.
Original problem
I apologize for the pictures and their quality. I'm currently healing from a burn and taking photos was difficult.
I tried on all of my bras from Boux twice, on separate days. My breasts felt very "heavy" in this bra. The straps dug into my shoulders a lot. It felt tight all around, including in the band. I did not feel this way about the band on the other boux avenue bras I tested. On those, the band felt loose, no matter which hooks I chose. At first, I thought quad boob was not an issue, but after reviewing the photos I can see otherwise.
Despite all these notes, I thought this bra fit better than the other ones I tried from Boux Avenue. I definitely found it more comfortable, but I still wouldn't last all day in this. I'm confused on where to go from here. Would this bra work for me in a different size? Should I try another style? Another brand?

helpfulUnfortunately, it's a little hard to make suggestions when you don't state which country you live in.
I don't have any thoughts off-hand of where to go next as far as brands (not sure what bratabase recommends, have you tried "bratabase suggestions"? ) but perhaps you could check out some bra blogs, which are close to your size. Here is a list from busty resources https://bustyresources.fandom.com/wiki/Bra_blog
It's counterintuitive, but the smaller-cup sizes are actually more difficult to find a well-fitting bra. These are sizes where mere millimeters make a difference in fit. I'm in a different size range, and it's a bit easier because, well, my breast tissue is more pliable.
Edit: I would recommend these bra blogs for the smaller cup sizes
Tomima has a bra blog (granted she is the owner of HerRoom.com, lol. so, obviously she's giving suggestions from her store) https://blog.herroom.com/post/best-bras-for-smaller-breasts-1

Have you tried any bras from the Little Bra Company? I know their sizing can be a bit complicated to figure out. There are some posts on TLBC on r/Japanesebras https://www.reddit.com/r/Japanesebras/comments/10r4uh8/the_little_bra_company_review_boosaurus/
Good luck!
with most bra shoppers - unless you are extremely lucky - bra shopping is a series of try-ons and returns, so don't be discouraged, this happens to many people.

helpfulThis bra feels tight and constricting all-around because the cups are too small, so your breasts are pushing the bra down, dragging on your shoulders and creating quadboob. I think the cups are simply too shallow here (shape mismatch)--if you sized up to 28DD, then I think the cups would still be too 'flat' but also too wide.
Have you tried any Gossard, perhaps Gossard Superboost Lace Plunge Bra (7711)?

Thank you for pointing out the cup depth. I was debating if I could get away with sizing up, but I checked measurements in bratabase. It doesn't seem like the bra really changes in depth if the cup size is upped. So, I'll return this one and try something else.
As for the one you suggested, I have not looked at that one yet, but I'll put it on my list to try out. Thank you!

Hi! I'm out of the US, but I don't take any issue to ordering internationallly. I've seen a few of these links, but some are new. Ill be sure to check them out!
Sadly, a few of my recommendations are based on bras that were custom made and that appear to have been done for a limited time only. When I say this, I am not referring to brands well known for offering custom sizes like Comexim or Ewa Michalak. Several recommendations were bralettes, but that's not quite what I'm searching for. I did get recommendations for Comexim and Ewa, but information for these sizes is highly limited. I think my ideal size is likely not the suggested but a size close to it that has never had data inputted for it. I've had concern expressed by others that I may find these brands too narrow, but I suppose there's one way to find out for sure.
