Bra fitting help » Trying to understand my shape with Natori Feathers.
Natori » Feathers Contour Plunge Bra (730023) » 32C 32:3
Issue resolved
Accepting that the shape isn't right.
Original problem
I am struggling with some asymmetry, and I think this Natori feathers in 32C shows it better than any others so far. My right is quite different from my left, and I've found many bras that fit my left quite nicely but doesn't work on the right. On the left, the cup is filled and seems fine. On the right, I don't fill the top and it seems like it is spilling further toward the gore. I think it's a smidge smaller, but that's not the only issue. (I also tried this bra in 30D and have similar but less dramatic issues with it. I chose to ask for fitting help on this one because I feel like my fitting issue is clearer.)
How would you describe what is going on here, fit wise, and where should I go from here?

helpfulyea. I'm excited that I can actually help you (sometimes I don't have a clear idea for fit checks, but this one is pretty easy).
Natori Feathers is one of the shallowest bras, this bra is too shallow for you. It's a shape mismatch! unfortunately.
Also, the gore is too wide. The gore looks like it's pushing your right side out/sitting on breast tissue?
Molded cups like this are always difficult to fit perfectly. I don't think Feathers will work. I don't know if you can write off Natori completely, I think they make some good bras. But this bra is just not the right shape for you.

Oh, I write it b.Tempd, lol. Now you brought it to my attention - the name is even more annoying, lol. b.Temp'd. (ugh!!)

okay, I like to look at see - what are the most popular "by size" Not that these will necessarily work for you. Feathers looks like a "no go." I looked at these https://www.bratabase.com/browse/by-size/30:4/
In size 30D, a lot of these look like they're discontinued bras...
Betsy Johnson stopped making bras, I believe. Although there's still a few on amazon. But they're kind of unusual , lol https://www.amazon.com/Betsey-Johnson-Womens-Bralette-Persian
There was a good blog in your size, it was the "FunSizedFashionBlog" http://funsizedfashionblog.blogspot.com/ but she removed it from the internet.
But - since nothing's ever gone from the internet, you can still read it on the Wayback Machine https://web.archive.org/web/20211111044523/https://funsizedfashionblog.blogspot.com/2014/ She reviews a lot of popular brands, even La Senza and Victoria's Secret, etc. I think she last posted in 2021 about sewing, but a lot of the bra reviews were from before then. Obvi, some of the brands might have different styles now.
It's too bad Lepel (called Audelle in Europe) doesn't make bras anymore either. They have a few here, but only in random sizes 30B and 30G, so nothing applicable. https://www.pourmoi.co.uk/lepelproducts/a_Shop+by+Product/Bras/ Lepel Honeycomb was a well-liked bra (at least I read that online). They have some Lepel here but they're out the best sizes (at least the best fitting for that style) https://www.belle-lingerie.co.uk/g10/lepel/?pagestoshow=2

Yeah I'm definitely running into the issue of lots of discontinued bras and not a lot of measurements problem. So I'm left trying to narrow it down with brands that have a reputation with certain fits and then guess based on the brand's pictures. I appreciate the links!
Would you happen to know how bras get marked as discontinued?

Some discontinued bras you can still find YEARS later. I can still find Freya Arabella NWT online, I think it was discontinued 7-8 years ago. Lol.
So, old bras can still be around in boutiques, eBay, amazon, etc.
Usually, a bra manufacturer will come out with a new style, slightly different.
As far as getting marked "discontinued" on bratabase, I'm not sure how they works exactly, maybe it's up to the users in bratabase to mark them discontinued, as they notice bras are older.
So definitely looking for ones that aren't as shallow and far apart. I've been mostly looking at Natori, b.Tempt'd (despite the overuse of punctuation that drives me nuts), since they seem to have wider wires overall. Natori does seem to have pretty wide middles in addition to wide wires, though my one success (I think) is a Natori.
Would you happen to know of any other brands that might have wires on the wide side and cups on the smaller end of the spectrum?
