Bra fitting help » New Bra in Calculated Size Yet the Fit is Off?

Bought this brand new. It’s a 36JJ, Curvy Kate. I had to put the band on the tightest set of hooks for it to fit better. Should I try getting a 34O(US)/34K(UK)?
FURTHER CONTEXT: I have two other bras, 36M(US)/36J(UK) in Panache & Elomi. The band fits fine I think but, I have the tiniest amount of spillage in the front (tiny quad boob), the gore does not touch my sternum in either, & I sometimes pull up the band bc it seems to get too low? I redid my measurements on ABraThatFits and got 36JJ/36K. Idk where to go from here.

helpfulIf you sized down to a 34 in this bra, I think you'd need 34KK (that is, a cup volume larger than 36JJ).
If you're getting quadboob, it sounds like the Elomi and Panache bras would fit better in 36JJ (or 34K). It's normal to fit bras in a few sizes, depending on brand and model.

helpfulFrom your tight ribcage measurement, it looks like you could go down to a 34. But then this bra seems to go only up to K cups, and you risk the same quad boob.
For your volume, it may be worth exploring polish brands, Ewa Michalak , Comexim
Searching by measurements for this bra with a bit more of cup depth shows some Ewa's results in 34KK.

helpfulI would bravissimo Alana bra in 34K-KK. 36JJ doesn’t fit you. Too big in the back, too small in the cups by 1-2 cup sizes.

helpfulSo I have a Panache and recently picked up a Curvy Kate bra as well in the same size, and I do find that the CK band feels large in comparison. I agree that the cups are too small especially if the gore pulls away.
I am 10cm wider than you in the ribcage, and I wear 38G - but I'm about to pick up the CK bra in a sister size band 36 because of CK's sizing - so I do agree the band is probably heaps too big for you. If you haven't yet, I'd recommend re-measuring yourself using the Calculator on reddit's r/ABraThatFits, and then check their Beginner's Guide to asses your shape and fullness - they have a long list of *specific* bras they recommend for different fullness and absolutely nailed it for me.
So - bigger cup size, smaller band for sure, check calculator for more precise bra-finding!
