Original problem
Shape or perhaps depth issue? This bra feels very comfortable except when I bend over it gaps. Wondering if anyone has advice or thoughts on why this is happening? I seem not to gap with unlined bras but usually look quite conical in them. I was hoping the balconette would accommodate the shallowness, wondering if perhaps size is the issue?
Update: trying to fit it more closely to my IMF reveals the cups are way too big

helpfulI would say that the band is too long which allows bra tissue to slip about with movement. THe band is not level in the side view and your measurements support this. Try doing a big swoop of your breast tissue , from the sides too while bending over. Check out the fit in a mirror, jump around a bit while waving your arms and see the difference. Try again with the straps looser.
I would also check out the wire width. See if the marks on your skin follow the contours of your breast tissue or are further out.
If you have to keep the bra and like the fit otherwise, you can always tack down the top of the bra at the gore with a few stitches.
Informative pictures and insight. Good luck on the journey!

CHeck where the wires leave a mark at the sides of your breast tissue. It looks like they are too wide. In addition to the wires, the bra itself looks to wide for your frame meaning the bra is not going to wrap around your torso well. No doubt causing all the gaping. I am not convinced that a different bra will help as I suspect more of a shape mismatch for you.

Thanks! I don’t think I would have considered that this might be too wide for me, I had a had time finding the outer edges… I think due to migration. Do you know of any shallow brands, with narrower wires that I might try?
Hi Jazzy, thanks for the wishes and the input!
Taking your advice, I adjusted to the second hook, loosened the strap and scooped + tried to fit the wire in the IMF. The fit of the wire seems to be fairly OK, although perhaps not as splayed as I am. The cups, however, now seem to be much too large…
I have updated the new picture here, and for more clarity I think I can stick 4 fingers in the top of the cup if my shoulders are not straight. Way too much space!
Now I’m wondering if I should attempt to size down to perhaps a 30D for this bra? I do have the free return window open, and should return this one for sure.
