Too big in the cup
Original problem
The ABTF calculator gives me 36JJ as a starting size. I ordered this bra in 36J and it seems too big in the cup. Here are my thoughts:
* The bottom of the bra feels comfortable. I like the fact that it goes straight out at the wire (is this immediate projection?) rather than being shaped in an upward slope. This shape is more similar to how my breasts are when I lift them up with my hands. I usually feel like my breasts are being very compressed in bras, but I don’t feel that way in this one.
* The straps are fall off my shoulder
* I feel like my boobs are just kid of wobbling around inside this bra. They don’t stay in place and it ultimately feels unsupportive.
*There is lot or wrinkling at the top of the cups. The bottom of the cups have about as wrinkling as in my normal (too small in the cup) bras.
*The decorative straps on top of the cup are very loose, which is always a problem for me with these kinds of bras.
*The gore tacks but I feel like it comes up too high.
Do you guys think this bra is just too big or is there something off about the shape?
I am center full and bottom full with narrow roots. My breasts are kind of shaped like a horseshoe. I think I have short roots but I’m not sure. I’m thinking I might not have enough breast tissue on top to fill out the top of the bra even if I size down?
Thank you in advance!

helpfulGorsenia run 1-2 cup sizes large.
I would try one cup size smaller to see if the fit is better.

helpfulYes, the fact that the cup goes straight out from the wire is what immediate projection is. This cup shape looks alright, but I think this cup might be one size too big. But I think the wires on this bra with this cup shape might be a bit too narrow for you when you size down. Also feeling unsupported like your boobs are just sitting in the bra and not being actually held is also a sign of the bra being a bit too big (along with the wrinkling). If the bra felt unsupportive but you filled the cups out fine then that would mean you would need a shallower cup (assuming the band and everything else about the bra fit correctly).

Thank you BraOdyssey and Loxus for the help! I will try it in 1 and 2 cup sizes down.
