Some details about my breast shape:
- Wide and tall roots
- Soft tissue
- Equal fullness when leaning, but effectively ... FoB (nipples are often visible in bras that have partly lace cups)
- Close-set on top, so I like plunge bras
- Somewhat splayed roots on bottom
- Lots of center fullness, often resulting in weird center quads
- Short waisted, but not petite (5'7"), cups often dig into my armpits
- 30DD/E seems to fit best
- Left rib flare, not much padding around my ribs, gores often hurt my sternum
- Lean back, tight bands compress my back muscles and hurt

I've been wearing the wrong bra size for about 20 years! As a teenager, I bought 34B bra's, because 34 was the smallest band size in my hometown and as I usually wear XS/S in tops I thought this was the right size for me. In 2011 I was fitted at Victoria's secret. I bought a 32C demi bra and have been wearing the same type of bra for over 5 years. That bra gave me back pain because the band would ride up, and the straps would always slip off my shoulders, even though I'd fully tighten them. The back pain got worse and worse, and that's why I decided to google about finding the right bra size and when I found /r/ABraThatFits and Bratabase! Oh and the cups of that bra are hilariously small on me, I wonder how the fitter thought it looked good but had me trying some 32Bs too :S

It's so great to learn about my breast shape and placement and to find bras that actually work for me. For example, I always thought my breasts were wide set but they are actually close set! My best fitting bra is Bali 3488 in size S, which I found because of a suggestion from another bratabase user. While the band should be a little tighter, it is still very supportive and looks great, which is so awesome for an unwired bra.
