Description: This bra is very pretty. It has beautiful vivid red eyelash lace that covers a red cup base. The band is a rich black stretch mesh. The cup has black piping along the top of the cup with matching black straps. Each strap features a small black velvet bow along with the gore, which also has a small C charm on it. The band is a black stretch mesh and I received a 3x4 hook without request. The inside of the cups are bright red with black piping along the wire channels.
Quality: The lace is not scratchy or rough and moves very little around the cup. The ... eyelash of the lace is securely sewed down so that it will not flip up or separate from the cup. The straps feature a smooth black underside, but it is not "plush" and has a decorative top side. The internal cups have very light padding that is soft, but not overly so. The wires are not particularly rigid, but this is perfect for me. One thing though, I have a slight crease on my right cup at the top due to folding, but I can smooth it out later.
Alterations: I asked for Rita to be made with the standard plunge style. I reduced the cups, reduced the gore to 6.5cm, and moved the straps in 2cm.
Fit: I decided to order this bra in a 70M. My overbust went up an inch from 42"(106,68cm) to 43" (109,22cm) and my snug underbust is 30.5" (77,47cm). This would place me at a 80HH or 75K/L by their charts. Using the lower measurement would be closer, but I used the stretched band lengths through bratabase and cup depths to come up with my size using the measurements from a CK 30J that was my best fit at the time. Using just my overbust measurement with my preferred stretch band of 70 I get a 70M/N. I went for the smaller one, using lying bust perimeter as depth.
This was mostly a good choice I am slightly quadding, but right now I am finishing up my cycle so we will see if this goes down some. Also because of the band across the top of the cups might be causing this, I am even/fot so I think 70M is a good base size. Either way, I like to fit my smaller boob since it is only .5" smaller. I just don't tighten up the straps on my bigger boob as much so they look even. The cup height is perfect for my high set boobs, no extra cup height even when I bend over!! The gore is heaven 😤, with my center fullness I don't like tall gores and I like my clevage, so this works. I have cleavage but my boobs are just barely touching and it tacks!! The band is perfect in width, armpit height, and comfort. It has stretch so although it's fine on the 1st set of hooks, I could go to the second. The underwires are narrow in the classic U shape, I probably could go a touch narrower, maybe later on after t.migration. but the wires do sit in my IMF, so I'm giddy lol.
Cons: straps could provide cushion (my melons are heavy lol), wires could be a touch narrower, and I'm not happy about the crease I will have to fix because it removes some of the depth on my smaller boob.
Panties: I ordered the thong to be made as szorty, but it looks to be a brief. I don't mind this as they are super cute. They are made with black, see-through, strech mesh and they have a middle panel of the same red lace as the bra. They feature a scalloped black elastic trim at the waist and leg openings and two black velvet bows where the lace panel meets the black mesh.
I have a 38" hip bone and a 43" fullest hip (it's the bum lol). I ordered a large and it fits perfectly. The elastic around the leg openings slightly dug, but I just used my hand and pulled them out starting from undermy bum to the front to stretch them a bit. Now they really fit perfectly. Size L will be my base size in stretch mesh or other like fabrics and I will likely size up in stiff fabrics so they don't cut into my bum and thighs. I think I will also use large for thongs instead of sizing down because my problem would be the legs holes (I have full thighs) being smaller in a M.
