Bras I love: Narrow wires, low gores, quality construction. I also really like some padding. ... It's nice to have a "buffer" between my nipples and the world. I'm also on a bit of a retro, pointy bra kick lately, which is a whole different world.
Bras I hate: Wide wires that dig into my armpit!
My band measurement is 27.5", my fullest bust measurement is 42".
Sizes that fit well:
UK bras size- 30K,32JJ,and some 32J.
EU bras size- 65N, 70M
Kris Line bras size- 65KK, 70K
Ewa Michalak size- 70K, 70JJ
Retro shelf bra size(i.e. Lady Cameo)- 30KK, 30KKK
Bras for sexy time/pics(usually Cacique)- 36DDD
My Bra Story:
Like many busty ladies, I went through my late teens/early twenties in what I'd call "bra hell". Getting poor fitting bras at VS, where they were adamant I fit into one of their sizes. I'd hear numbers like 36DDD, 38DDD, 40DDD......well, being my petite size, I knew something was fishy, but I didn't know about any other option. So I'd usually pick up one of these large band bras, and do alterations on the band to make them "almost" fit.
Then I met my husband. Throughout the course of our life together, he has been my bra savior. Using his investigative skills, he discovered a whole new world of bras made for women my size, and my boob/bra life has never been the same.
So first I tried some Brastop offerings. Curvy Kate and Flirtelle. Compared to my previous bras, these were like a godsend(little did I know, it would even get better). Next would be Bravissimo. These bras were great too, a bit more pricey, but I was just happy to have more options.
The real revolution wouldn't take place until I discovered the magic of Polish bras. I'm of Polish decent, so that made me even happier.
Kris Line was the first brand I tried. I was instantly in love. Bras my size, narrow wires that didn't dig into my armpits, low gores that didn't dig into my sternum.....amazing. Not only that, but they had beautiful accents and colors and quality construction.
I decided to go all in, and explore the world of Polish bras. Ewa Michalak, Gaia, Nessa, Ava. Some are better than others for me, but since I've gone Polish, I haven't looked back.
I haven't even worn any of my Curvy Kate bras in over a year, and I should probably just sell/exchange them.
I finally feel like I've dialed it in, and know exactly what to look for to fit my needs. It's been a long, expensive process(thanks hubby), but my boobs couldn't be happier. And I definitely have to thank this website for providing a HUGE resource and springboard for my bra adventures.
