I love bras like other women love shoes. If I had the budget, I would have a dresser ... / closet dedicated just to bras and underwear. Lacy bras tend to be my favorites, but I sometimes have trouble finding my size.

When I started at Bratabase a few years ago, I'd been measured as a 38G UK size. Since then, my boobs typically get bigger every 5-6 months, so bra shopping is interesting!

What I've discovered since I started here: I have somewhat even, but slightly full on top, close-set breasts. I tend to like 3-part cup bras and balconnetes. I thought I was full on bottom for a long time, but now I think I'm closer to full on top as quad boob can be an issue for me. Aesthetically, I like the cakes on a plate look or at least a rounded shape. I don't like bras that make me look smushed or too minimized. But I also want something I can wear all day with minimal discomfort.

My current favorite brands are Prima Donna, Elomi, and sometimes Panache / Cleo, depending on the bra. When I was a little smaller, Fantasie was good for me. I used to love Freya bras, but they NEVER tack and they are shallow. So there will never be a perfect fit Freya bra for me, though I adored the Freya Marvel. Freya = cakes on a plate, so I always liked the shape it gave me.

I love bargain shopping, so I stalk eBay, Amazon, Bare Necessities, and Lane Bryant for good discounts on bras.

My tip for newbies here: Measure your bras; measure your boobs; Set the fit for your bras. Recalculate your recommendations after fitting several bras or after a size change. Your recommendations will change as the system learns more about your bra preferences and measurements. Use the database to look up bras online before you buy them.
