I ordered this one direct from Poland in my usual size, 65J (equivalent to 30GG in UK sizes). The band fits slightly more snug than other 65 bands. The cups fit small compared to other 65J bras I own. If I knew this ahead of time, perhaps I would have ordered a 65K instead. I love ... the style of the bra but because it fits small in the cups, I get a bit of in-cup quadding and a slightly pointy shape instead of a full, rounded shape. It does, however, give good uplift but I have to frequently adjust this bra throughout the day due to the cups being too small and my breasts seeming to push them downward. I can make it work by loosening the straps and wearing it on days when I am less full in the breasts.

Breakout bras fitting

If I order a Comexim bra from BOB, what size should I go with?
The last bra that would fit me now (I think) was 70G. Which would put me at a 32F. My underbust is still 28.5”, so I’m thinking I’d rather go with a 30 band.
What size would I need?

Also, I want to order a new for my friend. She’s 38 underbust and 49 bust. Which size would work for her?

- My snug underbust measurement is 29" and I wear their 30 bands.
  
  Is that 70G Comexim sizing? If so then yes, that's roughly a 32F in BoB sizing.
  
  For your friend, I would try a 38J or 40GG. If she prefers a snugger band, she could try the 38; if not then the 40 should work. I think most people would prefer the 40?
- wildflower_ so I don’t have to size up in the cup as it says on their website?
  I think I went with the 70 band because the 65 felt too tight.
  And the sizes, are you giving me the UK size or US size? 🥴
  I think what confuses me about their sizing is that they have the US size and the UK size.

Good strapless UK 30J?

I'm getting married and I'm looking at a strapless dress. I know this is not optimal, but just finding a dress with a good design for my body was anything but simple. A sewn in bra is not at option in this case.

As seen on the review pics, it shows a bit of cleavage, so ... I guess a full cup strapless isn't really an option.

I have close set big boobs, quite projected, and a smaller ribcage. Cleo bras (especially Marcie and Asher, I wear 30J in those) flatter me the most. Common problems for me are that the cups are too shallow and the cups too far apart.

I'd be super happy for recommendations!

- Try the search function in the upper right of the home page and type "strapless 30J". There aren't many reviews but if you next search sister sizes as well, you may find what you are looking or.
- I have tried searching but I was hoping to get personal recommendations. I'm not able to try anything on in stores (we don't really have them where I live) so it would be worth a lot to hear from someone who has tried several:)

Vintage Bullet Bras

I was looking for some vintage bullet bras and found these 1960s From Lady Cameo by Cameo Coutures on Etsy. They have my +0 size 30G/32FF (which is awesome!), but because they are older and not as stretchy I’m wondering whether to order a +4 size or a weird in between. I know it’s hard to make any guess without ... trying them on, just wanted to know if anyone has any knowledge about this particular style or similar.

Some of my customers (but not all) find that they need one cup size larger than their normal bra size - you may wish to order one cup size larger. Confused about how to measure the cup width properly

Hi. I'm confused about how to properly measure the cup width. The guide says "This is an imaginary straight line from tip to tip of the cup or underwire For this measurement do not include the width of the wires."

I understand you have to measure from the tip to tip of the underwire for underwire bras. But in bras like ... the Natori Feathers, neasuring tip to tip of the underwire seenms very different from measuring the tip to tip of the cup?

Which line should I be measuring? Red or blue? (or some other way?)

I also looked at some examples from the Bratabase help.

How can I tell if a bra is open on top?

I have shallow tall shape which is like FOT so I need open on top bras. For bras without many reviews on Bratabase, how can I tell from looking at side views or a 45 degree view of people wearing a bra?

- that's a great question. Do you have one in particular? Maybe the best way is to list the ones you're considering buying, and people can comment.
- Hmm maybe you can tell based on the breast shape of the person wearing the best in the pictures? If their breasts look FOT/tall and it doesn't look like the top of the bra cup is cutting into their tissue, creating quad boob, then perhaps it's a bra you can consider trying. I have the same shape as you btw.

38J Pour Moi 3804 Imogen Rose Embroidered Underwire Balconette

This bra has underwires that are the right width for me, but the bra feels flimsy. There's very little support, despite having long enough wires (16.75") it doesn't tack at the gore, even though the depth is just right (14.5").

I don't have a lot of experience with Pour Moi and it's so hard to find a bra with the ... right wire width in my size (38J/38M). Elomi, Panache, and Goddess are nice and sturdy, but the wires are too wide for me.

This bra, like most bras I've tried, has straps set too far apart for me. I'm too low to use a J-hook (straps are never long enough) and not limber enough to use a strap to pull them in without help. As a result, I've bought and returned over 40 bras in the last two years, mostly due to wires too wide at the root and/or straps being too far apart. The wire width causes more pain than the straps digging into my arms, so I'm giving up on finding straps that fit.

I need to return this bra and I'm wondering if I should try for a different Pour Moi, or switch to another maker.

I'm thinking of ordering Comexim, and I'd like to know the spacing between the hook centers for 3-hook Comexim bras. Is it 3/4 inch(19 mm) between hook centers?

- Yes, on my most recent 3-hook Comexim purchase it measures 3/4 inch from the center of one hook to the center of the hook next to it.

Modest bathing suits up to K-cup

I recently started to go swimming regulary and I want to continue. In the past I used Curvy Kate / Flirtelle (they were mostly the same as they are sister brands) Tankinis. Now I found out they discontinued their old lines up to K-cup and their new ones only go up to J-cup. This is a real bummer because I ... wore JJ/K and they run quite small. Also many of their bathing suits are quite revealing. While I like that they offer some actually cute bathing suits in large cup sizes I wish they also would over a more sporty / modest version. I really like their sizing and that they are good for a long torso.

I own 36J/JJ - Curvy Kate » Poolside Non Wired Plunge Swimsuit (CS010 and while it was super comfy to just hang around / sunbathe (in the shadows for me though ) and swim a little leasurely, but it's just slightly to low cut for me to feel 100% comfortable. I really tried very hard to get over my insecurities but I always found myself cover up as soon as I could. I also have to adjust my cleavage a lot so it does not get too revealing.

Anyway now with changing seasons I would go to Innoor pool and swim lenghts and for that I just wish for a modest full coverage bra- sized bathing suit (or Tankini) to swim in. The problem is that I need it for a 32JJ chest and size 16/18 UK body and long torso. Any recommendations?

- I don't know if you're going to find this helpful, but maybe you could get a swim shirt/tank top? That way you could get whatever works for you in your size and then just throw something over it if you don't love wearing it out and about?
- Curvy Kate has so tankinis are are more modest on Brastop. Otherwise, all of the designs are quite low cut. Tankinis aren't the best to swim laps in though! I don't know if the reddit forum r/bigboobproblems would have more ideas. There's a bra that's recommended for my size and shape, the Natori Feathers Contour Plunge Bra (730023), and it's listed on Nordstrom in my size.

The listing includes a note under the size options which says it runs small and to order a cup size larger.

I know that stuff like that is usually sourced through the site's buyer reviews ... and who knows how many people are purchasing this bra after using fitting calculators/guides like those on r/abrathatfits or here on Bratabase.

Does anyone know if I really should order a cup size larger should I decide to purchase it?

- Hello, hopefully I can help a little. My daughter wears the Natori Feathers bra in a 30C.
  30C is a sister size to 32B, so hopefully these measurements help you.
  The cup on her bra measures (in inches):
  Cup width: 4.75”
  Cup depth: 7.5”
  Cup height: 4.5”
  Center Gore Width: .75”
  Center Gore Height: .75”
  This bra fits her well because the cup is a little more wide, spaced apart, and flat compared to some bras in the same size range.

Eh, how come if I tighten the band to the closest hooks in a bra, the gore tacks and the fit in general seems a lot better?

- Sounds like the band is a smidge big for you. Sizing down might give you more life out of your bras, but you also might be in between sizes. In that case, you can wear bras in the bigger band on the tightest hook like you talk about here or you can wear bras in the smaller band with an extender until they stretch out a bit.

- I've tried a few now and I find them to fit similarly to the bras. Fit is the same in the cup. The swimsuit fabric is much stretchier and there's only one hook so the band isn't as tight. I prefer a stretchier band for swimsuits so I don't look bulgy around the band so it works fine for me.
- I have a few Comexim bikinis and I find the cups fit much like their bras. The only thing is their bands run very stretchy in their swimwear. I’ve had four tops and every one of them has been overly stretchy in the band. Some people might prefer to size down in the band and up one cup to keep their usual size. Me personally, I just take the band in at the clip myself since I’m not dead set on having a perfect fit with swimwear I wear a few months out of the year. For their bottoms I’m in between their size Medium and size Large (I wear a size 38 in EU sizing for panties). I usually go with the Large right now for more rear coverage as well as height since I have a long torso.

Wires being too low? Is this normal or suggestions?

I recently tried on 30FF-G, which at first, seemed to be a suitable fit. However, I notice there are marks that seem lower than where the bottom of my breasts are. I think these are my wire marks. My bra doesn't seem to be staying up sometimes, and I have to adjust the band throughout the day. Any idea why I'm getting low wires if this is the case? Thank you.

- Hello. In the past when I had the front of a bra sliding down, as well as the back band moving up or sliding down, it was due to wearing the wrong size. Your wire should be sitting in your inframammary fold. Have you checked your measurements recently to ensure you’re wearing the correct size? Have you adjusted your bra straps? You can do a fit check with basic pics to get some really good feedback.
- Agreed with @Happy2BraShop - good advice to do a fit request with some clear pics!
  
  Additionally, it can also be a projection issue:
  
  Some bras/models are made to fit more shallow & wide, as opposed to deep & projected.
  
  A 'too shallow' style bra can slide down on you because the breast needs more depth, essentially pushing the wires down. In that case, sizing up won't really solve your problem, it's the 3D dimensions that are off.
  
  Depending on your breast tissue distribution, root width and firmness, you'll have to figure out what specific styles & brands work best for you! A fit request is a great starting place.

Need help finding a closer match for 38H/38HH

My current favorite bra is the Elomi Jodi 38H (UK). I know it's not perfect as its definitely still uncomfortable at times, but its been manageable so far. I think it's getting to be time to find a new one though. I am looking for one that has a flatter wire under the boob and is more projected. Ideally my ... perfect bra would also have a shorter and narrower gore and the straps would be closer in but that might be asking for too much and after fixing the other more pressing issues these might not be a problem. The gore doesn't tack and I'll have quad boob if I don't squish them back in after scooping and swooping but there is some space after wearing it between the wire and where my boob ends up (which I think means I'm more projected than the bra is allowing and the wire isn't as flat as my IMF). I do own and wore for a while Elomi Carmen and Elomi sports bra, both are 38GG and it took me a while to realize that's too small. As I type all this out I'm wondering if I should just go up a cup size? I don't think that'll solve all the problems but it might be the best I can do. I'm not too sure how user interactions on this website works but all of the measurements for my Elomi Jodi are entered. All the generated recommendations (only 3) on here have a really high gore which I know is not comfortable for me. And it seems to be underestimating my size this time (previously it has recommended 38JJ which was huge on me) Any recommendations or things to help narrow my search are appreciated! - Hello. I don’t have any experience with Elomi, but trying a cup up may help you further evaluate and asses your current fit issues. If you’re looking for a lower narrower gore in a bra, Ewa Michalak makes a new PLM style that is very low plunge and the straps can be crossed in the back. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can chime in and provide more help. :)
- Have you tried sculptresse chi-chi? My favorite now are Gorsenia but haven’t found anything w straps close enough.

I have some down time at work right now, so I'm trying to add some of my newer bras to Bratabase here. I just measured a few of the bras that fit me really well right now. As I was measuring them I was thinking "That's weird, these bras all have almost exactly the same measurements!" I ... don't know why I thought that was weird, it makes sense! At least I know the exact dimensions of the bras that are fitting me as of late. Apparently I like a 28-30cm cup depth and 16cm cup width, which when I cross-reference that against the measurements of my root width and horizontal parametre is exactly what I should be wearing!

Much less consistency with the band measurements, but I'm not as picky about that, haha. I find the tightest bands the most supportive, but I don't find the looser bands uncomfortable, so luckily it's not an issue.

Can't seem to get a good fit

Every time I find a bra that seems to be the right fit, the edges of the cup poke into my arm. Does anyone have any advice for me?

A little about me:
The size that seems to be good, according to the calculator is a 75H.
My breasts are close together, I need a plunge bra (low gore) or it will rub ... into my breast tissue and be painful.
I am center full and projected.
The past 2 years I have been wearing unwired bras due to illfitting and sensative ribcage (car accident).
I have been wearing:
* Hunkemöller HKMX sport bh The All star Level 2 (green) 80F
* Hunkemöller Dawn Rebecca Mir Wireless Moulded Bra (black/pink) 80E
* Hunkemöller Lola Wireless Moulded Bra Lola (red) 80E
* Hunkemöller Shiloh Wireless Moulded Bra (red/pink) 80E
* Hunkemöller Strappy Toppy (black) Large
* Hunkemöller Bralette Rose (blue) Large

At the time of buying these, I was meaasured at 75F with the calculator. The explanation for the E cups would be that they didn't carry those bras in any size larger.

I would like to try some good fitting wired bras and see if I can enjoy those more than the slightly illfitting, but comfortable, wireless bras I have been wearing. I prefer moulded bras, so ideally I would like to get recommendations for those.

My measurements: (cm)
- Loose 88
- Snug 84
- Tight 78
- Standing 102,5
- Leaning 109
- Laying 102

I have tried the following bras:
* Pour Moi statement bra 75H (wires too high, cup edge pokes)

* Freya Expression 75H (cup too small), was going to reorder a size bigger but was told the cup is as wide as Francies and thus probably would poke as well

* Fantasie Memoir 75H (band too wide)
* Triumph beauty full darling (cup too small)
* Lisca Evelyn 75H (wires too high, cup edge pokes but not painfully. very comfortable apart from that)

I am uncomfortable sharing pictures. I hope anyone can help me.

- How tall are you? I'm 5'1 (/ ~154, 155 cm if I'm not mistaken), and I have this problem quite a bit. My 'quick fix' answer would be to stuff some sort of cotton or fabric between the wire and your skin, and there is a possibility that you might just get used to high wires after a while, but my longer term fix advice is to start measuring your bras. I can say that on me, personally, I have a lot of luck with Ewa Michalak bras, which one can understand looking at the 'wire length' measurement between my EMs and other wired bras. For instance: my 28HH Panache Envy (https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dngwz/) has a wire length of 12 inches (30.5 cm) and my 65H EM Sf Moonlight Lace (https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dn8d2/) has a wire length of 10.5 inches (26.7 cm)
  
  See if you can figure out where the wire length 'threshold' is for you, and then, you can use bratabase to search for similar bras with shorter wires.
- Since you have a projected shape, it's hard to get a good fit in a molded cup. I'm guessing a molded cup is not going to work in size 34FF UK (I used this conversion chart) https://www.breakoutbras.com/pages/sizing-chart
  
  You could maybe try a Spacer foam bra, but I'm not sure if you'll have the same problem as the other bras - with the cups cutting in. It sounds like you could possibly have "shorts roots" or high-set breasts?   Also, it's my understanding with Spacer foam - there is less shaping of the breast and you kind of just have your natural shape, but they are supposed to be comfy!
  
  Other recommendations would be Ewa Michalak bras (they have shorter wires on the side) or Comexim (you can request cups to be reduced). Ewa Michalak and Comexim bras are both padded and seamed, that way they work better for a projected shape.

Comexim sizing for a 38:7?

My sister recently let me properly fit her into a bra, and I want to get her a Comexim bra for Christmas. She fit really well into the Soma Unlined Perfect Coverage Bra in a 38G. What size should I order for her from Comexim? She's definitely more full on bottom too, so if anyone has suggestions on alterations, I would really appreciate it!

  If you order direct, you will have a lot more choices, but...the chances of it fitting well the first time one tries the bras is pretty risky! It's better to try the bras out first through Breakout bras, that way you can get the sizing and styles that would work for you. (and see if the bra would even work for your sister in the first place).

Comexim plunge vs Ewa PL, size/alteration help for 28FF?

I need some help with Comexim alterations and how to word them better.

Basically what I want is a 60HH with the overall dimensions(cup/gore height, strap placement) of a 60G, or something more similar to an Ewa PL which is my best fit so far.
In my size I'd need reduced cups, gore, narrow and overlapped gore, straps moved in, and extra ... depth at the wire. That's a lot of alterations that might not all be done. But if I get a 60G and ask only for extra depth, if my request is unclear I can end up with a bra that's too small.
Anyone here try something like this? What alterations did you ask for and how exactly did you word them?

- What size is your Ewa PL? I doubt you'll be able to get a gore low enough unless you pick a deep plunge model AND ask for a reduced gore height.
- 65F, it's a bit big in the band but I got mine secondhand so a new one would likely fit better. I considered the deep plunge but I heard those were very shallow and wide. I don't mind the gore being a bit higher than ewa, but I still need it to be pretty low(5/6cm) for the underwire not to hurt(not a fit issue, I have a rib that dislocates with gores higher than that)

Comexim Bra Sizing Help for 34G?

Hello, I'm here shortly again! I'm thinking about getting a Comexim bra before the Black Friday deals run out. I am a bit clueless to how my sizing would be, however. I am a 34G in UK, and I have a feeling that my shape matters too for this. Just in case, I have pendulous, wide root, splayed, and projected breasts. I hope this helps in some ways, but I can give more information. Thank you!

- If your roots are wide comexim and ewa michalak will both be too narrow for you.
- Hmm, for 'wide root" I'm not sure if Comexim is going to be the best bra....it pains me to say that b/c I truly love their stuff . and find their bras life-changing...and recommend them very often - maybe even over recommend. LOL. (consequently, I can't get onto their website right now, it has too much traffic atm, I imagine).

  but I don't want to be so negative - maybe some other people can chime in and prove me wrong, lol.
  
  Or maybe there are more wide-root friendly styles? It's my understanding Elomi and Panache are good for wide-root people.
