I wrote this review in September and it waited, and waited, and waited a little more (life is hard sometimes), so now you probably won't find this bra anywhere, but I wanted to share it anyway because it's a beautiful, good quality bra and gives me really great shape (and because I hope Ava will do tons of this cut in the future). It has a few minor flaws, but I'm still hapy I have it.
hahaaaa... I was just listening to Janis this morning while scrambling to get everything ready for the first day of school! Nice to see we are on the same wavelength!
Wow, a double review! It's neat to see it on 2 different bodies.
Google Translate thinks that must-have should be mustache 🤣
I'm in love with this pattern. Do you have any idea where I could buy it at this point? Google wasn't being too helpful.
MiskiDwie wow thanks! I could indeed use your help to put my hands on this! You the best. <3 Question about sizing though: how would the 65I and 65J compare to comexim or ewa's sizing?
Libi is one impressive little thing! If you are looking for a wireless bra, you fit in their size range, and you don't mind a slightly looser band, Libi by Ava is your bra! I like this bra more than XS - Cake Lingerie » Sugar Candy Seamless Everyday Bra (28-8005 (post surgery), more than 70I - Kris Line » Afrodyta Soft No Wire and definitely more than the Ahh bra (and its various knockoffs I have). I think this bra will see some serious wear from me. Additionally, they make a sports bra in the same cut and now I'm seriously considering getting it, no ...wire and all.
Now the hard truth is that in 65J it is too large in the cup for me. But I 100% think the 65I would be too small, and I'm not willing to risk the money (or the comfort, tbh). If I could find this in black in 65J I would be purchasing it immediately because I expect it will run a teensy tiny bit smaller, and so it will be juuuuuust right.
The construction of this bra is really something. I think the reason it feels (and looks) so supportive is the cup construction (4 parts, one vertical, another horizontal and then a side support longer seam), but there is another thing that really affects the comfort - it has side boning and I find that this is what makes the band so nice! The boning is not pokey, but it's very sturdy, and because of this, the band does not roll and rope up as is the case with A LOT of wireless bras for me. I do want to acknowledge an issue that I see in the photos but did not see or feel while wearing it. The cups are sorta sliding down as if there is not room for my boobs under there, or maybe because it is slightly too large. However, I am 99% sure this is an issue that could be remedied by shortening the straps. As a creature of habit (and with how I usually have to deal with too short straps) I loosened them all the way--and surprisingly they are very long! Thus the straps are actually giving me no support in these photos, it's all the cups and the band. I felt zero pull on my shoulders. The shape is the roundest shape I've ever gotten in an unlined wireless bra. There is NO torpedo boobs which I actually found incredibly surprising, but I guess with the side panel in the cups it makes sense.
Another thing is that even though the lace on top is not stretchy, the whole trim has some give and I think it wouldn't cut in too badly for someone a little fuller on top than me. I usually have an issue with this but I guess since the bra is slightly too large, it is not an issue with this one.
The band is loose. In this colourway, it's more of a 70 band (it stretches out to 82-83cm). It has a slightly raised center that I guess should act as a gore, but I will say I don't think it quite does. However, there is very good separation for something that has no gore! My boobs are only slightly touching at the tops.
The bra aesthetics I like as well. It is a very pretty bra, the lace doesn't feel cheap (none of the materials do, actually) and it's absolutely beautiful. I will say tho (as is demonstrated in my very wrinkled, but the one I knew 100% would show it) the lace and all the seams are very visible under clothing. No big deal for me, though, if there is anyone out there offended by my seams they can just look elsewhere. The seam in the middle features a cute little bow and pearl https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Come to think of it, this bra reminds me a lot of EM's 70G - Ewa Michalak » Bm Bibi Beżowa Perła (533) with just slightly different lace.
Well, I think that's all I wanted to say. Overall, pretty, functional, supportive and most of all, comfortable bra! And it is very cheap, too! Anyways, onto trying to find the black one in 65J!
edit: I added an angled photo with straps tighter and the bra hooked on the tightest hookset, however I don't mind wearing this on the loosest as it doesn't seem to ride up at all. There is a slight difference, but the shorter straps do make the cups taller and I don't think petite ladies would like the way the straps and outer cups cut into the tail of spence.
edit 2: I also have no idea why btb is displaying my whole review without the 'read more' tag. Sorry everyone. Read more 696 more words
It looks lovely, and quite comfortable. In my opinion it doesn't look too big. I see no wrinkles or empty space-it looks like a nice fit to me!
There are definitely some wrinkles :) But it's not so bad that it bothers me to be honest. I am very impressed with the support of this bralette!
Rest assured if there are wrinkles, they are not noticeable. Glad this one works so well. 💙
I really wish this came in my size. It looks great!
That's a great looking wireless! I'm glad it works so well for you.
It is really great. Been wearing it all day, still so good.
Looks like a great wireless! Glad to hear that it works well for you! I'm curious about the sports bra version :)
Thank you so much for reviewing this bra!! Really!! I have surgery coming up and won't be allowed to wear wires for 6 weeks. I have a Panache Andora wire free, but I am looking to buy a second wire free to get my through and Ava is definitely cheaper than Krisline. Thank you, thank you!!
I hope it fits you well, April! And that your surgery goes well.
So, after about five days? of wearing it, I have to say I do think a 30G would have fit better.
brasaremean I have ordered it in 30FF ...lets see how it fits
Longer version: I purchased this bra from the lovely alisa to go along with another bra I bought from her as well.
I’ve never worn an Ava bra, so I didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by not only the look, but the fit as well!
First, the bad: the band and the straps are little spaghetti noodles compared to what I’m used to! As soon as I grabbed the straps to hoist them up I was like, oh no these are NOT gonna hold these boulders up! 😂 The result can be seen in the ...angle pic from down below—the straps don’t hold enough weight so the cups buckle underneath a little. That compromises the support a little bit.
I wasn’t thinking that a 75L (which is in EU sizing, so it’s actually a 34HH UK, I’ve discovered) would fit me, but lo and behold, I was quite surprised. I fit nicely into the cups, they fit well on the sides, but the top is ever-so-slightly too large, so the fabric wrinkles a teeny bit, however, this is not super noticeable. The wires fit great.
The actual construction of the bra reminds me a lot of Kris Line, so I’m a little curious if they’re made by the same overreaching company or something. The padding inside is comfortable, and doesn’t add too much bulk.
There’s a cute little crystal in the center at the gore.
I’m not normally a white fabric fan for bras, but this is pretty!
Overall, very happy to be adding this to my collection. It’s very comfortable! Read more 165 more words
You always make me laugh. I nearly spewed my coffee across the room when I read "decorative doughnut." Thank you!! :-D Your use of metaphors and similes makes me smile :-D
Agreed Love4Pollinators , MiskiDwie reviews are always a delight to read.
Thanks guys! My Dad always says I am a verbal gardener xD
I LOVE this bra!!!! Go figure, since it was the only bra I've purchased in recent weeks (in an effort to find a better fit than the not-at-ALL-fitting bras i have been wearing) that was a "meh, maybe it'll kinda work for me" sort of purchase. I'm discovering which brands and models work best for me; this is by far the best so far. It is snug where it should be, the cups hug my breasts and chest the way i would hope for my breast type, the comfort level is next to top-notch, the straps aren't diggy, the wires aren't pokey either in the gore or my underarms, ...my extremely soft-tissue pendulous breasts don't spill out when i bend over--I mean, seriously! This is amaaaaayzing! Only slight con is that there's a bit of creaking in the underwire areas--LOL. I've never experienced this before. It's a minor thing for me, considering all the wondermousness of this bra, overall. The cups are nice and soft inside (and the pretty outside is soft, too, btw!) and a good balance of projection and shallowness so that I can get that nice rounded shape (which in my case is achieved through smooshing the boobs against the chest wall, hehe). Since my breasts need SO much support, though--due to being high on my chest and very-heavy-tissue pendulous--I wonder if the cups will eventually wrinkle from the weight. You can't stop a tidal wave, kid (or at least not forever)! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> My pre-pregnancy go-to bra, the panache sport in 30H, wrinkled within a couple days of use, and this amazing Ava bra still has zero wrinkles, so... Just sayin... Read more 168 more words
I have the same bra in 65J, yes it's pretty and the fabrics are great! Sadly for me however it comes up too high under the arms.. Thanks for the review, good reminder that I need to list this (and many more 😬)
I’m sooo sooo torn over this bra. It’s exceptionally beautiful, and a bit sexy with it being so sheer. It’s almost like bridal lingerie. The white embroidery on the cups is amazing and I love the little drop pearl at the gore. While it’s got bows, they’re not gigantic or anything.
Sadly, for me it is a less than perfect fit, and not perfect enough to consider stop wearing it. For starters, it’s a really tight band, and adding an extender makes the already slightly loose cups fit worse. I mostly fill the cups up but it’s a little bit too loose at the top where it’s got ...a stretchy cup edge. I’m also getting a bit of wrinkles at the wire, along with space between the wire and my imf on my small side. I suspect that the tighter band is distorting the cups some and making them shallower than they are.
My shape tends to be soft, center full, even to fob, tallish but shallow and narrowish roots, and pendulous. I tend to fit more fob and short rooted, functionally. I think this bra is slightly too tall in the cups, otherwise it would probably fit better. I’m not sure if sister size up in band and down in the cups would fit better.
I received matching high waisted bottoms for this bra and they’re super cute with it, though they are a little bit too small for me. Read more 133 more words
This is beautiful!! Too tall cups is SUCH a common problem, why don’t manufacturers scale them down a bit! We can’t be the only people experiencing this fit issue! So many bras I would have loved if the cups were jut like .5-.75 inches shorter.....why do they do this to us lol!!
Jolie0216 I wish I knew! Most of my bras are too tall for me. I really think they expect all boobs to look like half spheres when they don't!
It's so pretty! THe wires look crazy wide on you, whether or not that is due to distortion idk but maybe this means a cup size down would work?
wendybien at just under 5” wide, I’m willing to say it’s cup distortion. I would normally consider 5.5” cup width wide on me. Band up and cup down so 70E probably.
I saw Ava's Estela Meadow on a Polish lingerie blog a long time ago, but dismissed it as an "oh my, I wish..."
Back then my breasts were still hard after implantation and padded styles were my arch enemies. I couldn't even fit an Ewa CHP properly, so I was reticent to start trying other companies.
But, now I am softer and more styles are fitting me. I have had great success with EM's padded styles as well as Kinga's semi-padded bras.
I am also getting ...very good at judging whether something will fit based on measurements and photos of other bloggers wearing them.
This bra is a style from Ava's 2017 Spring/Summer season so it's no longer available direct from the company.
I didn't even bother to ask MagdaBras4you to look for it.
I figured it was long gone and over with.
But...imagine my delight when it showed up on Brastop...on sale...in my size...with matching bikini panties. Youpeeeee!!
I think it took me 10 seconds to add it to my cart and check out lol
Today it arrived (took 2 weeks) and it is exactly what I hoped it would be.
The cups are 3 part, 2 vertical seamed padded half /padded balconette.
It's technically a padded bra, but the padding is very light foam. Inside is soft, brushed cotton-y material.
The cups have ample projection at the wire for me, and, they close slightly at the top, where they're trimmed in pink knitwear. It's a perfect cut for me. I have round breasts, so if a cup isn't closed at the top, it sticks out.
The satin is soft, smooth and the print of camelia pink apple blossoms is beautifully done on it. Touches of coral, greens and aqua blues make for a nice spring/summer combo. It's very, very nice quality too.
The straps on this bra are very different...they're wide and half-way they're made of the satin. At the back, they're a standard white picot-trimmed strap. They're lovely and very comfortable but note: they're not fully adjustable and, this is a balconette style, so they're wider set. But, that being said, they're no wider set than on my EM CHP. I love these straps. But my shoulders are neither sloped nor narrow. If this is your situation, or you need super short straps, these straps may not be for you.
Band is soft, smooth and firm but very comfortable. It is made of the printed satin with power mesh lining. 2 hooks. 3 sets of them. I'd consider it TTS as I'm comfy on the loosest hook. My underbust, btw, is 71 cm.
The elastic that trims the band, straps and sides of the cups is white with picot trim that peeps out. It's a feminine, dainty effect.
Ok. The best part about this bra for me :
The GORE!! This gore is WIDE!!!
At 2.3cm wide at the top, and 8cm at the very bottom, this is the widest gore I have tried yet in a Polish bra (where the wires still fit me. Almost. Sort of. Its a 95% grade on the wires. I have about 1cm on the outside. This is very acceptable to me.)
I like this. I have narrow breasts (I love 13.5cm wide wires) but they're more than 2 fingers apart, so I like a wider gore and never get it.
Not only is this gore wider, but it's got great projection at the wire here. Super. I get a solid tack.
Read me? I get a solid tack in a padded half cup that is not an EM bra. 🎉
In fact, I prefer this bra to my EM CHP because: wider gore, less padding, closed top on the cup. I like it better than my Comexim 3HC because well, I can't get a tack in that thing to save my soul. It lacks projection at the wire.
BTW, unlike my EM and Comexim, this bra cost me less than $30 😛
The panties are super cute too. They're bikinis but with lace on the bum cheeks so they're sassy and comfy.
Check out my pics. You'll understand my glee. Read more 601 more words
This bra is beautiful and delicate. The lace is soft and the embroidery is in white and a rosy-beige. If it fit, I'd keep it (I don't need support) - speaking of support...it has very narrow straps for it's size, and a stretchy, narrow band too, so I would NEVER say that it is supportive for it's size. Just like in almost every bra I've tried where the wire is the correct width, the cup simply isn't deep enough for me to be able to fill the bottom.
Another great review! That color. I have a soft spot for green and embroidery. I wonder if a 65F would fit me or if I have to go with 65E like in some Polish unlined bras.
Great review, this design is very supportive and the colorway is EM Syrena level gorgeous. The brand totally deserves wider renown in the West!
I spotted this beauty when it came out in PL bc I loved Ava's 1514 Manche for its side-support and forward shaping. Didn't buy Hailey bc I thought the embroidery would be scratchy. Regretted it 6 mos later; read your review and HAD TO HAVE IT!
Extra GOOD NEWS Scandinavian and EU ladies - MARBEA_SHOP seller on Tradera has Hailey in stock. Pretty sure seller ships to the EU and possibly internationally It's a PayPal-based marketplace, look for an English sign-up page for non-Swedes, use Chrome.
If that is too intimidating, I can help US-based ladies who are interested since I have an EU shopping system well set-up. =)
Here are some points I did not include in the video due to my excitement.
The listed band measurement might seem small but it does stretch out even more. You can see wrinkles all over in the fabric in the back when it's not stretched. The bra comes with additional padding which I am not wearing because my quadding issues due to lack of depth would be increased. I rate it high because of the use I want out of this which is for fashion not as a daily bra. Aka totally prepared to use medical tape for the quadding. The bra is very comfortable and though the gore doesnt tack and it wobbles a bit in the front due to my tissue pushing it out I am happy.
This half cup has way too much projection for me. I wonder if it would fit me at the time I wore Ava Protea when I was a 30D. The band is one layer but seems sturdy and doesn't stretch much.
I only have one AVA bra, but it was a real winner for me. The cup shape (4-part cup) was kind of retro, but man, was it comfy! I got a ton of wear out that bra before I lost like 20 pds and now it's currently too big. But I can see why this brand is popular in Poland.
I found their bands to be the classic European bands, so I have to size up in the band (sister-size up) in Ava.
I took a peak at the measurements for this bra, and noticed the band stretched to about 28".
This bra is my adventure, I bought it cheaply used, but in perfect condition, I expected it to be too small, but probably not that bad .. for the first time in a long time, the bottom of the cup above the underwire does not wrinkle in the bra .. minimally the right cup but because this breast is a little bigger. Underwire on the border, but it's okay. When I straighten up, you can see that the cup could be a bit larger. Maybe it's because of my high roots. On fuller days it will not fit. The shape on the side is a little pointed, nasal, but that's because my breasts are more V-shaped in a bend over. I fasten the circumference with 2 hooks and I feel that I will save for the last one soon, but I'm still wearing it a bit. I think this bra would fit better on the full breast at the bottom.
Huge shout-out to Mandapandarawks for sending me some bras to try. You're such a gem.
This one of of three I received and it fit the best. I have slight quadding on my larger side, but it's doable for me, as I'm actively losing more weight https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> the band feels a little tight too, but, again, doable as I'm losing more weight. I think it's a win for me!
I'm going to add measurement once I figure out where my measuring tape is.
But yea, the second I saw that the cups have 4 parts, I knew it was trouble. This bra fits more like 30H or a larger GG? Overall, it's just plain too large. Only 2 hooks in the bag. Color me confused. Other than that, the quality seems great, and I love the pattern. Just, it's much much too large! The band however feels a bit tight at 30. The top of the cups has some give to it, but it is not stretch lace. Hope this helps someone.
Adorable fabric!! Reminds me of children playing in wildflowers 💗
