    Didn't fit

The Alana apparently runs more shallow in the cups than the Boudoir Beau I got in a 36K, so I decided to size up another size. I shouldn't have. It's slightly too big in cups and the band feels too loose. I think I'd need a 34KK or 32LL.
But the biggest problem is that the shoulder straps are cutting into my arms very badly. The shoulder straps are too separate for my frame. Also the wires and the fabric of the cups come up to high on the sides and it feels uncomfortable. I think the whole bra is just kinda too big for me.

    pros

    + stable construction
+ ... good support even for heavy boobs

    cons

    - shoulder straps are too separate for my frame
    - wires too wide and too tall
    - shallow cups, not very roomy on top (does not affect me since the cups are too big)
    - band is rather stretchy

I don't know what I do with it yet, maybe I sell it or keep it for “size fluctuations” and alter down the band. But altering the band would not solve the wire issues, so I think it has to go.

This bra is great from so many points of view - the shape (perky but not pointy), the low wires on the sides (finally!!), the firm band.

  3. Satine In Bloom Bra (LN217)

I saw this bra in the Bravissimo summer catalogue a few weeks ago, thought how pretty it was, and dismissed it as not worth trying because Bravissimo's own brand balconettes and half-cups are appallingly bad fits for me. But then last week when I was putting in an order for a new Panache Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) I decided to add this one on since the returns are free, and to my astonishment, it fits! It's remarkably comfortable too - so much so, in fact, that I'm going to order the regular Satine as well to take the place of my now sadly much too small ... Ewa Michalak 3D Wodzianka bra 70DD - Ewa Michalak » 3d Wodzianka (504) . I could possibly have gone up a size to the 30G to avoid getting any hint of quad-boob, but I find I prefer occasional quadding to gapping when I lean forward, which I suspect the 30G would give me on my smaller side.

The flower design is very bright, and it has a small button on the centre gore, which makes a nice change from the usual bows. This bra does have one very peculiar feature, though: a fold of net just below the hem at the top of the cups. I can't see that it serves any purpose other than to make the design more cluttered, and it may well show up under tighter clothes.

This is my second bravissimo bra, and I have to say I love the quality and fabrics they use. I even love the crazy red on blue polka dots https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> This bra definitely gives a more pointed shape as others have said but I don't find it super noticeable under most of my clothing. What I do notice is the great support and lift I get! It is also super comfortable, rivals my ewa for comfort and is definitively better for comfort than my panache jasmine.

This is one of my preferred bras, as it feels quite supportive. I would go up a cup size if there was one available which is why I am stuck with a 36L and not a 34LL . An L cup in this make is almost the same as KK in others. As of Summer 2013, I am now wearing this in a 32L. It is a good fit but the straps are too elastic and allow too much bounce.

This bra is adorable and I lusted over it for quite a long time, not realizing that the shape really wouldn't match up with my breasts and that the size would not work.

The cups on this bra run exceptionally shallow and wide. I loved the width and the sloping shape of the underwires, but the lack of projection combined with the excessive (in my opinion) height of the gore made the bra jut out quite funny between my breasts. Like someone was building a picket fence in my cleavage!

My breasts looked smashed against a wall because I had more projection than the bra would allow, and the gore ... height made the underwires stick up above the tops of my breasts when I slouched and thus the tops of the cups to gape open rigidly. It was quite awkward.

I'm disappointed that the shape of this bra didn't even come close to working for me. The photos make it look wearable, but I just didn't feel comfortable in it and got no support. Part of this was probably due to it being a band size too large for me.

I did find that the cup lace did show a touch under thin stretchy tops, mostly at the center of the bra which made it questionably artificially nipply. It didn't bother me much, but some might care.

The lace is gorgeous and the color is unusual and beautiful. The fabrics are soft and comfortable. For the right boob shape (or the persistent enough woman) this could be quite a stunning bra for the Pretty Boobies Arsenal.

    Oh, it's beautiful, isn't it?

A half cup, how I've missed them!

Anyways, it's too small on my large boob - both as seen by slight quadro-boob and a non-flat centergore. Bumme https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

The shape is definitely purple shape, http://brasihate.blogspot.dk/2012/01/what-exactly-is-good-shape.html and I am definitely more of a green-seeker, but I can't deny the front view of this is great. I'm still deciding whether to keep this. I got the set, and it looks so awesome I could just stare at it for hours, but sensible, I shouldn't keep it, as the bra is too small, and not the shape I want. But oh. I love it, haha :b

It is not as wide as Bravissimos other half cups, which is a welcome alteration I think.

The cup consists of 4 vetical panels, which gives that lovely cakes-on-a-plate look.

The band is very comfy, usual Bravissimo-snug, and nice wide seams which I think is essential for comfort.

    • Oh but it looks sooooooooo perfect, please say you kept it :)))

    • 1

I've decided to keep it, yes ;) The set is gorgeous too, I will make a blog review of it! And I suppose the slightly minimized shape will make it good to wear under clothing that doesn't have enough boob-room, so it still has practical uses besides looking great :b

    • Yay!! I'm curious to see how it looks under clothes and how much the print pops up. I hope bravissimo keeps it up with J+ halfcups <3

    • Minimized shape? Sounds good, exaclty what I need. I feel so self-conscious when wearing those Ewa Michalak bras that make me look even more busty than I am :(
I'm looking forward to your review :)

    • Are the wires more stablecompared to the old demis as well?

    • Yes, I'd say they're more stable :)

    • Oh, then I might take a look at it later maybe :)

    • Oh the 36J fits you so much better! :) Beautiful! :)

    30K

    Didn't fit

    Epic Fail!
I never saw a bra look that bad on me.

First I want to say that the band does run very small, so size up 1 band size!
The 30 band is definately too small on me in this bra. (I usually wear a 30JJ in Panache Jasmine)
    I'd need a 32 band.

The too tight band causes the wires to disort. (wearing with extender the wires are not that bad) but there is also empty fabric on bottom. I can't fill the bottom of the cups because there is not enough room because the top section of the cup does push my boobs down and cause quadraboob.

Also because the ... whole upper section of the cups does not allow much volume I had some weird "vertical - in - cup - quadraboob" along the vertical seam of the side support panel. That seam did cut in weirdly.

If you want to get an idea how this bra looks when the band is not too tight and the cups 1 size bigger, check out my pictures of the 32K Fleur!
On those pictures you can see that the top section of the cup still flattens my boobs but looks wearable because I got up one band & one cup size. So if your breast are full - on - top avoid this bra.
If your breasts are more full - on - bottom, but round and slightly full-on-top too and if you need cup depth on bottom and enough space on top (I'm trying to describe my breast shape ) size up in this bra!

    Overall:
    Epic Fail for my shape!
    Also wrong size!
Apart from that: it is not a bad bra (see my review on similar constructed Fleur in 32K)
it is supportive and I think if your shape is compatible with it, it has potential.
The fabric feels comfy. Shoulder straps are fully adjustable & wide.
The color is a deep raspberry. I don't like the blue ribbons, but that's really a question of taste.

This is up to date my best fitting bra. It flattens my boobs so much that I'm actually having the same amount of projection as I had in my 34F Freya Millie and Pollyanna. I kind of miss the east and west spread I got used to now suddenly looking all BrasIHate in shape, but it is my shape so I better get used to it.

This is the first bra I seem to be able to move around in and still having the same fit.

I get a very subtle look, with an ever so slight hint of cleavage.

This is my first bra that doesn't rest ... on breast tissue in the Center gore and while the center gore doesn't sit flash, due to the bra being ever a smidge too small it's not a problem really. Neither is the slight cutting in I have on my larger boob. It's kind of interesting now in the correct size beginning to see how big the difference is between my boobs.

This bra will probably become too small pretty fast as I do have a feeling it actually can be a good migration bra. I would have never thought that about a half cup. But it comes pretty high up on me.

The cup depth without stretching is 34, but I have a 35cm perimeter with the bra on so it stretches a little. It stretches just some milimeters above that when measuring over the knee.

The wires stretches from 18.5-21 Not that bad really.

The problems are the wires being just a tad bit to low in the bottom front. And the straps cutting in on the sides of course. But I can live with that too.

And the straps. My god, the straps. They are very thick and very comfortable. Probably the most comfortable straps I've tried on a bra so far. But the bra is so firm I can almost wear it strapless https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

It's vintage looking, it's very me and I will update this review in the future.

    • Branarchist Hi, I was searching for someone with similar measurements, and I stumbled across you and while you don't have similar measurements it seems like you are struggling to find a size and bra that fits.. I hope I can offer some advice I would suggest that you get a skype fitting with the ladies at butterflycollection.ca they offer skype fittings and since your sizes are all over the place maybe they can pinpoint your size a little better. Since you have a large array of sizes I think it would really be beneficial for you. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that this will at least steer you in the right direction.

  12. Rococo Charm (SB19)

I fell in love with this bra as soon as I saw it on Bravissimo's site. Granted, the pistachio/black combination really did turn out less green than I had expected, but the bra is still very beautiful. The fit, however, is a different story.

The band is very snug. I border between 28 and 30 and feel better in a 28 band, but with this one, I had to use an extender. It's buckled on the first row of hooks, though, so no big deal.

(EDIT: After three months of very occasional wearing, the band stretched and I don't need to use an extender anymore)

The shape from the side is ... nicely round and minimises the boobs a little (see picture of "bra beneath clothing"). The shape from the front is okay, if a bit too wideset for my taste. The straps are definitely too wideset - not as much as to fall off shoulders, but enough to show under sleeveless tops. And although they are fully adjustable (plus points for that), they are also decorated with stiff, widely spaced semicircles which rub against the skin and remind me of razor wire (a bit poetic, but sadly true!)

The center gore goes quite high on this bra, but I like that. The bra also doesn't really give that much support and doesn't push up at all - the shape it creates works well for square necklines and looks positively ghastly under V-shaped ones.

Lastly, the cups. Now, I probably should be wearing a 28J (if they made it), so I won't go into the depth on how they don't fit me too well, but I would like to point out the crazy width of the underwires. Measured from end to end, they are 35 cm long, which is almost the same as the Panache Confetti in the same size. However, if you look at one of the photos above, I have laid the underwires on top of each other - while the white Confetti curves upwards quite symmetrically, the pistachio Rococo Charm just goes on and on. You know how sometimes underwires poke you in the armpit? The Rococo underwires go *past* the armpit (can be seen on the picture "from the side") I'm afraid that if I wore a larger cup, they would actually curve around my side and touch the center of my shoulder blades!

(EDIT: Through trial and error, I've figured out I usually wear a 28HH in Panache, 28J in Curvy Kate and 28/30GG in Freya. So for this bra, use your Curvy Kate size)

All in all, I am rather disappointed in this bra. I love the color and the decoration, but it is so weirdly uncomfortable to wear that had I tried it on in a changing room, I would have definitely left it at the store.

    • I see you mentioned the wires are crazy wide on this bra, I'm just wondering, are the wires much wider while you're wearing the bra? Sometimes wires are very flimsy so when you stretch the bra the wires also stretch along with the band instead of holding their shape. I consider flimsy wires to be the ones that stretch like 5 cm, and crazy flimsy wires stretch 5+ cm. I think sturdy wires are the ones that only stretch 0.5-1 cm. How would you class this bra's wires?

    • Hi Jj, thanks for your comment. Interestingly, even though the wires were wide, they did not feel so bad and you can see the great shape and lift I got with this bra. The cups must have been deeper at the front, which is where I need the depth.

A very bright coloured and beautiful bra. When I saw it online, I was unimpressed; then my fitter at Bravissimo handed it over to me and I fell in love. Let's mention I love bright, cheerful colours, but not so much flowers on underwear.

The fit is very good: the underwires are narrower than those of Freya's, thus not underarm poking! It's supportive and comfortable, and hasn't stretched (too) much so far - it was bought 9 months ago. The fabric is very soft and comfortable, close to Freya Frankie's microfiber.

A definite improvement on Bravissimo designs, compared to the Boudoir Beau I also own, and a good balance between support and looks. It slightly wrinkles at the side of the cups, though, where the straps are attached, so I guess there's still room for improvement!

A very good bra, although the center front could be lower. If I have to bend over, they'll poke into my chest. The shape this bra gives is an upfront and center perky, my DH says it's positively wicked nice. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The bra is sturdy, so the support is good. Doesn't stretch out with wear and the lace is solid but not scratchy. Nice colour (wine red/graphite).

    ***
Edit: I ordered another one of these and hey presto - no poking anywhere! The older bra's wires seem to sit further up in the front and lower under the arms than the new one's. The difference is 7 mm or so, but it counts.

I love this style, but I only just get away with this size. The 34L was a perfect fit, but my boobs have grown since then, unfortunately my chest remains unchanged. So while my boobs are now filling the cups on the 36L, I have to fasten the bra at the tightest hook. If I had this size cup on a 34, it would be perfect!

Budapest's reptile print is an articulated yet busy print which can only be described as 'Visual Glitch'. At a distance it's easier to parse as a whole, than when up close.
Swim costume fabric is medium weight, soft and well made, seems like it will last for as many seasons as it can be worn. Even though 28G is the sizing I was at in May/June 2022, ... the cups aren't cutting in or causing unsightly bulging like usually happens when something runs much too small.

The underbust band runs large for my size but it's secure as are the top of the cups. Lined bust has just enough give to allow comfort but nowhere near enough stretch to allow an entire slip up.
However I do wish that there was just a bit more stretch in the bust or a little more space in the center at apex as this is a little on the small side given my overly full fit needs being pushed to the gore and under the arm around band.

Waistline is sleek; neither bagging up nor pulling at the extremities over my modest but prominent potbelly & abs. It was a little concerning to get this zone up over my thighs where I'm thickest, so chances are that anyone with a stouter tummy may also struggle to negotiate widths upward of 34-40 inches

The general silhouette is a good match for my short hipped, petite upper body & high set bustline. This is often not the case as my build is somewhere between 'bird boned/slim limbed and a sort of squashed together petite-plus frame. My proportionality wide hips are getting sufficient coverage with no booty hanging out or leg band digging into thighs, but rather wish for a little more room as there is a general sense that something is a bit off for my weirdly shaped derriere.
I'm going to presume this is more to do with my specific pelvis shape needing a super short inseam and more room in the back around the middle of hips than average. Budapest doesn't look especially high-cut on me but those with longer torsos and hips may find the bottom ride up on the hips without getting 'eaten'.

Every bit as supportive and uplifting as a usual underwire without being smashed in or half my boob left out of the cup.

The fit for my full on bottom shape is just are cozy and wonderful as I'd heard others advise. This is giving my amazing Arla a run ... for her money even though Zara hasn't any kind of underwire. This one is managing to hold my breasts in during exercise even though I'd not describe this as a sports style so much as a leisure, comfort bra. Typically my boobs are all the hell over the place with no support or coverage in this kind. Especially when bending over or laying down. I may not have a lot of tissue to work with but it's just such a relief to have basic security that's neither just modesty, nor straped down & crunched in, pinching.
Despite having only just gotten this bralette, it's actually concerning to me that there is only 1 larger size than this one in my proper band size, after this one

I'd say it's worth going for the sister size needed and having a tailor take in the difference for those who are considering this style but are sized out by Bravvisimo not having theirs on offer.
