Etta is one of my favorite bras ever. I love the dainty floral print, the super soft lightly padded cups, and the smooth satin finish. It worked surprisingly well for my pendulous, FoB breasts and short roots. The 28G was too big in the cup after losing some weight and the 28F - Bravissimo » Etta Longline (LN412) was too small. It's now my goldilocks bra as I think I need a 28FF for the fit to be just right. The three-part, padded plunge style is reminiscent of a Comexim plunge bra. I've put more details and a full review of the fit of both sizes on my blog, plus a brief review of the 28FF - Bravissimo » Satine Bra (AU15), the cut on which Etta is based, for comparison. I hope to try the new pink colorway as well.
This is such a gorgeous bra & I've always wanted to try Satine cuts for the low gore but always figured they wouldn't have enough room at the wire like 95% of bras
lcl0706 Yep, I am still looking for a bra with enough room at the wire *and* the apex. At least the softness of this cup material lends a little more give down there.
This is the Satine Jacquard bra in Rose from the Bravissimo 2018 collection. I have been in need of a nude bra to wear with white t-shirts. This bra is absolutely perfect for that purpose and is still attractive. I am extremely pale (hello Canadian winter), but the rose colour functions nicely as a nude on me - it passes the white t-shirt test. I love the silky fabric and the soft sheen - it makes a basic bra a bit more special. I had previously tried a 28FF Satine and found it too shallow at the bottom of the cup. This size, however, is perfect for me. It is an extremely comfortable, everyday bra and looks smooth under clothing. It gives a nice, natural but round shape. The straps are the perfect width and very comfortable. The band is a bit stretchy for a 28, I can already fasten it on the loosest hook. I am hoping that it doesn't stretch too much with wear. Overall, I am really pleased with this bra.
martka00 thank! They were all surprisingly bra wins. I'm starting the new year off right :)
rachaelll well done to you! It looks like we fit in bras similarly (except I need more 65-70 and you 60-65) which means we can swap bras more often :D
It looks beautiful! I'm so glad you're finding some great fitting bras!
Looks great! I have been tempted so many times by the Satine! I almost got a 30FF from the listings here but it was a stretched band over 30” so I had put it off. I had fallen in love with the oriental green one a while back. How do you find it feels and fits compared with/to the Freya Deco, of which I know that you have had?
martka00 you and I are pretty close. I’m 65F/FF or 70E/F. I’m not sure if I can can do 65G, though the 65G S that she got from you looks like maybe it would fit. I wish I had more stuff I could trade with you.
Calluna the Deco did not work for me at all. The Deco padding is too firm and doesn't mould to my shape. It feels like amour to me. And I always got a visible cup line with the Deco under tops. The Satine actually reminds me a little of the Comexim plunges in terms of shape and fit. The gore is obviously lower. But it has the same kind of flexible padding that contours to you. I find that the Satine gives a really smooth look under a t-shirt - which I never got with the Deco. Not sure if this helps
Yes it helps a lot! Do you find that the cups are too wide in the Satine at 5.5”?
They are a little wide, but not so much that it compromises the fit. Wearing it, it feels like there is space on the side cups, but when I take it off the wire marks follow my natural shape almost perfectly.
I have had this too. Feels too wide but marks follow the root.
This is my second Bravissimo bra - I was weary of the brand since my first bra, 30FF - Bravissimo » Tanzania Stripe (AU41) was way too big in the cup. This one fits very nicely, the cups are filled and the band is nice and snug (altough I got it used, so I think it would have been a tad too small for me in the band if it was new).
I have to agree with lcl0706 on the great fit! The cups are such a good shape match for you.
Looks fantastic on you!!
Looks gorgeous on you! great shape. The print is young but still has sophistication, I love it. Buy one in every color!
As soon as I saw the pics, I had to comment on the great fit, but now I see that I'm not the only one who noticed it. :) Looks lovely on you - and I like the colours, too. Great find!
This bra is great for everyday wear - I find it extremely comfortable. It's a little loose in the band and I wear it on the tightest hook, but my underbust is only 26 inches. The shape is smooth and reasonably rounded, but far more natural looking than the Freya Deco, for example. The cups run a little small, which is great for me as I'm between sizes, but you may want to size up if you're not. I've washed it a couple of times now and it hasn't stretched yet - fingers crossed it stays that way! The only small downside is the padding can be a little wrinkled - I tried on two and found this one to be much better than the other. It's a bit annoying if you have to order online, but I wouldn't imagine it causes much of a problem - I don't think you could see it through clothes.

Budapest's reptile print is an articulated yet busy print which can only be described as 'Visual Glitch'. At a distance it's easier to parse as a whole, than when up close. Swim costume fabric is medium weight, soft and well made, seems like it will last for as many seasons as it can be worn. Even though 28G is the sizing I was at in May/June 2022, ...the cups aren't cutting in or causing unsightly bulging like usually happens when something runs much too small.
The underbust band runs large for my size but it's secure as are the top of the cups. Lined bust has just enough give to allow comfort but nowhere near enough stretch to allow an entire slip up. However I do wish that there was just a bit more stretch in the bust or a little more space in the center at apex as this is a little on the small side given my overly full fit needs being pushed to the gore and under the arm around band.
Waistline is sleek; neither bagging up nor pulling at the extremities over my modest but prominent potbelly & abs. It was a little concerning to get this zone up over my thighs where I'm thickest, so chances are that anyone with a stouter tummy may also struggle to negotiate widths upward of 34-40 inches
The general silhouette is a good match for my short hipped, petite upper body & high set bustline. This is often not the case as my build is somewhere between 'bird boned/slim limbed and a sort of squashed together petite-plus frame. My proportionality wide hips are getting sufficient coverage with no booty hanging out or leg band digging into thighs, but rather wish for a little more room as there is a general sense that something is a bit off for my weirdly shaped derriere. I'm going to presume this is more to do with my specific pelvis shape needing a super short inseam and more room in the back around the middle of hips than average. Budapest doesn't look especially high-cut on me but those with longer torsos and hips may find the bottom ride up on the hips without getting 'eaten'. Read more 312 more words
I didn't think I would love this bra, but I do. It's the first moulded cup bra I've loved and kept during my bra fitting journey! I was shocked that the construction of the bra allows the boobs to come together in the center without quadding - it feels very Polish to me, lol.
Also, maybe the band is stretchier by nature or due to the previous owners of this bra, but I feel like the wires don't get pulled weirdly when I put this bra on. A win!
Not projected enough at the wire for me, and cups not wide enough. I also get slight quadding. Maybe I should have sized up. I haven't found a Bravissimo bra that fits me yet (except one swimsuit top, where I sized up).
The Sienna bra has a similar cut to the popular Satine bra by Bravissimo. Since I really need a 26" band, I did alter the band on my sewing machine to shorten the band.
I find the bra still too wide for me. The gore is a bit too wide and is sitting on my breast tissue. (I sewed in the gore a bit on my Satine bra, but couldn't on this one. Bravissimo, I do like your bras! If you could alter the gores so they touch or overlap on your 28" bands, it would help!!). The cups are also wide. I ...find it too wide for my boobs and shapes them outward instead of more center and forward facing.
The cups are too tall for me so I have extra space at the top of the cups. The wrinkles show on this bra as you can see but it isn't visible with clothes on. (My black Satine doesn't show the wrinkles.) My shape is a bit empty on top so this isn't an issue of the manufacturer. The top edge part of the cup is not stretchy but suits me well. If you are full on top, you may find the top edge of the bra cuts into your breast tissue
It is generally comfortable. I like the lining of the cups for modesty. It doesn't shape or add bulk, in my opinion. I do have to wear the bra a bit lower so the gore doesn't sit on tissue. I think that affects the overall asthetics of the bra shape over clothes but is is comfortable.
It doesn't have a lot of immediate projection but for me that isn't a deal breaker.
I think the bra is pretty. I am a 28FF normally (26G) but this fits better as a 28G, so you may need to size up in the cups? Overall, I think it is very similar to the Satine design. The material and looks of this bra may be different but it should fit similar to the Satine.
I am a fairly even and projected breast shape. I have average-to-narrow roots with a slight omega shape. My best fitting bra is a Cleo Lily in 28GG, though I think a 30G would be more comfortable in terms of band length.
This bra has a great shape for me and fits similarly to the Lily. I probably should have gone with a 28GG, as it fits similarly to Cleos.
A very cute swimsuit! It doesn't have a "wow, that really looks like a bra" design, which is great. The colour is much less pink than it appears in stock photos, being a bit more orange/coral coloured - particularly ...in the sunlight.
I was waffling a bit between getting the 28G and the 28GG, as 28GG usually fits me better in Cleos and 28G works better in Freya. I ended up getting the 28G, which I think was a safe choice even though I'd love to see how the 28GG would have fit. The gore doesn't *quite* tack, but I do not get quadboob or anything. If anything, it's just a little bit of cleavage - which is no bad thing when you're out on the beach. Overall, I feel happy with the shape it gives me. It's not quite as supportive due to the neck tie rather than traditional straps, but it's cute.
The one design choice I don't like is that the sides feel like the narrow down too quickly after the cup. It looks a little sudden. It could use one of those little side-bonings you see in most normal bras.
The outer fabric can be a little scratchy when you're putting it on, but the lining is soft and almost silky. It's fine after you've got it settled down.
I will say I wish they offered this in other colours, though! A nice blue would have been great. Read more 202 more words
The Moulin Rose (in Cream) is a beautiful bra. The base color is cream with printed rose pattern in a dusty rose color. The fashion fabric of the cups floats over the inner padded cup. The straps and top of cups also have a velvet ribbon in the same color. The cups are a three part half-cup with integrated sling on the side. The cup fabric continues for a short side wing and then the band is mesh. The straps are half-way adjustable up to the velvet ribbon, but I'm pretty sure you could force it past that to adjust if needed.
For fit. The bra works wonderfully ...for me as I have a very wide root and it fully encompasses it. The bra is fairly shallow from the sling seam to the cup edge which works to move breast tissue to the center without underwires sitting on it. The bra gives a more compact look as the breasts are moved closer and up (more Marie Antoinette).
The bra runs about 1/2 - 1 cup small. In the Parisian Plume (the unpadded version) I needed a 28FF. Read more 79 more words
I ordered Bravissimo's Tanzania Stripe in 28FF and 28G because the 28Fs I bought last year started to look, from the side, like those quarter cup bras that apparently are for boudoir use only. I didn't mind the extreme mounding above the cups in my 28Fs. That kind of cleavage is what I enjoy about half cups. I did think more of the volume should be in the cups, though.
It took a while to decide between the 28FF and 28G. The tops and bottoms of the cups were smoothly filled. As you would expect, the mounding above the 28FF was more pronounced than in the 28G, but in ...the latter, there was still an attractive fullness. Where the straps attach to the 28G cups at first seemed too wide, poking me, but after a few minutes the feeling eased.
What decided me was the slight wrinkling of the cups on the sides in the 28G. I couldn't figure out what this was. Finally I realized the wires were wider than I needed. This never happens. Whenever I've encountered other bras whose cups were the wrong size or shape, I've gotten wrinkling and gaping everywhere but the sides. So many brands and models have underwires too narrow for me.
A note about measuring: I took the wire width and other measurements from the inside edges of the underwire. This is a change from other bras I've measured. Something I read recently makes me think I had been doing it wrong. If I find out otherwise from Jj, I'll go back and remeasure. Read more 152 more words
This bra is so adorable! Love the heart-shaped leopard spots—so clever. It gives a wonderfully round and perky shape. The band is EXTREMELY stretchy, but feels tight enough for a 28. The fabric is very soft and comfy.
Unfortunately, the cups are woefully too small. They're at least one, maybe even two, sizes too small compared to all the other 28G's I own (mostly Freya). Would be great for someone who normally wears a 28F or FF.
On deep inhales the cups don't quite fit, and that may be due to a shape issue - with possible flat but unfilled space at the bottom of the cup. Gore also digs in a bit.
Beautiful color. Cups are definitely not the right fit for me. The bra straps are also an interesting design with a connector across the cup all the way to the band. This is pretty, but does risk creating an extra pull across the breast tissue.
This somehow feels like a casual bra based on the fabric feel. Cute color - wish it fit me a little better. As it is, the cups are a little too small and give a slight quad boob effect. The other issue is that the gore does dig in a bit too much for me.
This is such a gorgeous bra & I've always wanted to try Satine cuts for the low gore but always figured they wouldn't have enough room at the wire like 95% of bras
