This cup construction is PERFECT. They fit me like how I wish my Comexim plunges would fit. I will definitely be picking up a Satine after trying this.
The wires are nicely narrow and cups are deep enough and shockingly don't gape on my short roots. They are very soft and lined with cotton. The wire channels are covered in a very soft material as well.
The band construction is similar to a Freya longline, it doesn't continue very far below the cups in the front and has no boning to keep it straight so it wrinkles on me.
My problem with this bra? As soon as I ...looked at it, I knew the sizing was amiss--this band is very large. It lays at 28 in and stretches to 34, making it run a whole band size large. Definitely size down in the band. I will have to contemplate whether to exchange it for a 30FF.
As a note, the panties run a bit large as well, again like Freya sizing. I ordered the large but I definitely could have gotten away with a medium. Read more 78 more words
Lined with cotton: fantastic! This looks beautiful on you! Better than Comexim--congratulations :-) :-)
Very beautiful! :-)
I just want to ask, is it a little bit wrinkling on your right breast, specifically on the apex? Because I have a Satine (not longline) and I ordered one cup size bigger than usual because of the recommendations here on bratabase. It fits me except I have little bit empty space in my apex. I think it's too deep for me.
No, i definitely filled the apex of the cups. Have you tried using a cookie? They stay in ok without a pocket in my experience but it probably wouldn't be too difficult to add a pocket.
Yay, so glad you reviewed this. And short roots friendly, too! I've been meaning to try it. Are the cups padded at all or just lined? I was hoping it would be at least as padded as a Freya half cup longline.
letstalkaboutbras It's got a flexible padding, similar to the Freya half cups. I thought it would be stiff but it isn't at all.
wild_muses Thanks! Now I really must get to Bravissimo this week if at all possible :)
wild_muses If you keasured the gore height from where a band typically ends vs where the long line ends, how tall is the gore? It looks delightfully short :-) :-) Thanks!
Love4Pollinators It's about 2.5 inches to the bottom of the wire.
Me: 30F/32E. Center full, close set, relatively even when supported, tall-ish roots. Not particularly narrow - average to wide roots. Soft tissue. Shoulders are on the slightly narrow side so some balconettes have straps that are too wide for me.
Not a ton of lift or "centering" but an alright shape, although pretty east-west. Wires are very low on both sides so I can see how people with wide roots might have tissue spilling out on either side. It actually plays nice with my soft tissue - I don't spill out (usually with something wirefree I'd spill into the center). Comfortable, breathable, nice for summer.
Until trying a bunch of new bras, I didn’t appreciate how well this fits. It has a very cute fabric and is unobtrusive. Cups, wings, and gore are perfect. Very supportive and perky.
This is a really comfy, practical bra. It doesn't show under tight shirts despite being seamed. This is a very shallow bra with wide wires and a small gore. It runs a little small, so if you're between sizes, definitely size up.
The most remarkable feature about this bra is how close set the straps are in the back. Many bras, when I have them on and look at the back view, have straps that splay outward as they reach the band. The Ariana's straps go straight down and are wonderfully close together, even on the loosest hooks. It feels comfortable and secure.
Bravissimo bra bands run small. My 32F Ariana's stretched band length is about 29.5" and feels quite firm.
The second aesthetic feature I appreciate is how narrow the straps are, 0.6" wide. It gives a delicate appearance. It underscores the prettiness of the black lace that overlays most of ...the navy satin cups.
There is slightly too much room in the cups at the center gore. The cups gap slightly right above the center gore. This wouldn't show under clothes and is barely discernible without a top on. Gapping doesn't usually occur in this area because my breasts are extremely close set.
The real fit problem for me is the height of the center gore. I need it to be less than 1" whereas this is over an 1" high. I haven't worn this bra as a result. Read more 89 more words

Stretchy cup, stretchy powernet sling inside outer halves of cup. There is a vertically shorter band inside the externmal longline band. Neither are especially difficult to stretch but both together are quite tough. The gorgeous elastic picot trimming is rather hard along the edge and can see this biting in or feeling unpleasant if the band length isn't enough (boobs out the cup times???).
Outer facing stretch lace only gives horizontally, I have some misgivings about the shape plus lack of 4 directional ease leading to boobs crawling out of the cups.
I am not brave enough to face this one today, or perhaps for some time. Will wait till sizing bottoms out/reduces a little to revisit it.
I measure as a 30F, so compared to the 30F, this bra has taller cups, and more space seems to be added in the top part of the cups. I think I'll try this in a 32E since the band is extra comfortable compared to the 30F.
PS: I also tried the Bravissimo Luna, and I like this bra better because the materials feel sturdier.
My very first well-fitting bra! Bratabase says it doesn't fit, but it does! I'm guessing it's because I marked that I get the dreaded quadboob effect--but only on my biggest breast and it's minimal! It's also a bit tight in the sternum, but I have this problem with all of my bras now since I'm splayed and really should only wear low gores. My breasts also start up high and the straps irritate my arms/armpits a bit. I'd say it fits TTS overall. Only sister size up if you're not used to the tighter bands yet.
ETA: I've added an extender and it's ...helped with the issues I had with this bra. The quadraboob is gone, the straps aren't pulled into my armpits, and the gore doesn't bother me. This is still my best-fitting bra. It's really supportive because it cradles all of my boobage thanks to the higher cup. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the natural shape it gives, but I can live with it. I just need a 34E, which seems to be my size all around--except for Freya, I think. Read more 89 more words
