This style has been discontinued by Brooks - it is a combination encapsulation/compression bra. It is meant for a C/D cup and the inside tag says that it fits a 30CD-32C. For this reason, I think the cups were a little small - I had some excess tissue coming from the armpit area. There's no underwire and it closes in the back with a J hook. The straps are not adjustable and cross in the back. This is a great medium-to-high impact bra and find that some of the colorways available are also quite fashionable.

I love the black with the colorful bright trim for the band and straps.
My employer doesn't keep a whole lot of Brooks 30 bands in stock and when they do, D is usually as high in the cup size as they go. I settled for a 30D and hoped for the best. The Fiona is now discontinued by Brooks, so I'll probably have an even harder time sourcing 30DDs. The cup is small, mainly in the outer/armpit area where I always seem to have issues due to having wide set roots and substantial breast tissue towards my armpits. Everything else though: the band, straps, etc. fit well. I've worn this bra for some very high-impact aerobic workouts, running, etc. and have not had any problems with chaffing, shoulder, or chest pain from the slightly too small size.

This bra is really intended for someone who is probably a 34B/32C, maximum. The band was too big and the cups were way too small. I was able to get by wearing this once for a very intense workout, but it was very uncomfortable. This style has been discontinued by Brooks. It features a J hook in back and has removable pads and adjustable straps. I'll be listing this one for sale.

I think this bra fit just fine. I wasn't able to find a 30DD for comparison purposes. I only wear this bra for high-impact workouts as it's a bit overkill for activities like yoga, cycling, or walking. The straps adjust with Velcro in the front and there's a hook and eye closure in the back, so it's easy to escape from and take off after a sweaty workout. It's unfortunate that this style was discontinued by Brooks. They really haven't come out with anything that would be considered a good substitute.
This is the perfect high-impact sports bra for small band/larger cup sizes. Sadly, Brooks has discontinued this style. The straps adjust with velcro in the front, which is nice because I can adjust the bra easily while wearing it. I do wish that there were cookies in this sports bra because I often get the "headlights" look when working out or when I'm outdoors.
Because this sports bra doesn't have adjustable straps (it's a high neck halter style), the shoulders were way too big which caused the whole bra to sit much lower on my chest than it should. I could also slide my entire hand under the band. I sent this back to REI because of the poor fit.
I'm usually a 30F, but as the biggest cup-size available with a 30 band is an E cup, I went with a 30E (UK). (For bandsizes 32-40 this bra is offered in a cup size range from B to F.) Let's start with the positives: I absolutely love the look of this bra, especially the back design. I'm really looking forward to working out wearing this sportsbra as a top. It offers decent coverage and does not show a lot of cleavage (esp. compared to my panache sport). It also raises high on the sides, so there is definitely no sideboob escaping. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> ...The way the straps are designed is quite clever, as they fasten in the front with velcro fasteners, which you cannot see (see pictures). The bra is a mix of compession and encapsulation, so even high impact sports like running are absolutely no problem. As the bra is non- wired I find it quite comfortable for doing yoga.
Now to the negatives: The band fits REALLY tight, I would definitely recommend sister-sizing up a bandsize! I'm usually a 30/28 band and the first time I put on the bra I had serious trouble breathing. After breaking it in, the band has stretched enough to fit me snugly on the loosest hooks. Another downsize is the limited cupsize range. As 30F was not available, I went with an E cup, which is a bit to small for me (surprise https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> ), so my boobs are squished too much for this bra to be comfortable. Getting this bra in a 32E/ F might fix all of those issues though, so it is really only a matter of sizing. If you are in the size range, I can really recommend this bra! Read more 194 more words
