    Fits

This bra, like my other Chantelle, fits really nicely. Comfortable and pretty.

I tried a similar Chantelle style and while it fit the top of the cup was too firm and closed for me to be really comfortable. This one has elastic sewn along the top edge of the cup and that made all the difference. It shapes the breasts really well and brings them to a more forward projection position with strategic seams and quality construction. I got it at Nordstrom and both of the Chantelle styles weren't even on my radar until the sales person brought me a couple after I'd asked what they had that would be similar in cup width to my go-to brand Panache. The ... underwire is unlike anything I've experienced with a bra - springy and flexible to follow the infra-mammary curve but at the same time very solid and strong. I'd take it apart to learn more about this mysterious structural component, but for a bra that is $88 when not on sale dissection in the name of bra science is something I can't bring myself (or afford) to do. The cafe/nude shade is quite possibly the closest I've ever come to finding something that matches my skin tone - ultra pale - which is nice.

This one is a great fit in the cups. The wires come up a little high, but as far as holding everything in with no oozing, it's good. Sadly, the band is far too large and it doesn't come in a 30I. It's not the sassiest bra by any stretch, but a nice, well-made workhorse if you can find a fit.

I bought this bra because it felt great when I tried it on in the store, and the seams didn't show under my clothes. Plus, the straps are fully adjustable, and I rarely find a bra that sits low enough for my torso. There was slight wrinkling at the top, but that happens with virtually all bras. After wearing it for about 3 hours, I realized that the band is way, way too stretchy and long -- and I should have sized down to a 32 band. The cups are too deep but also too narrow. So, I can sort of push all (or most of) my breast ... tissue into them successfully, but this mostly just presses my boobs down flat. And the underwire still presses painfully against the breast tissue on my larger left side. This bra has too much stretch in the cups and the band to provide any support at all. I think I found it comfortable because it was like having nothing on, except for the pain in my left shoulder that began after a few hours. It gives me no lift, forward projection or shape.

The fit is very poor on me, but I will use this on lupus high pain days because it is less painful than most... At least until I find a bra that actually fits, if there is one out there. This French/American H cup is much, much bigger than any FF cup I've ever tried on in a UK company. If you have narrow breasts, you might want to size down in the cup.

Chantelle bras, as I understand it, are designed to fit long torsos, narrow shoulders and wide roots. This one...gets a little closer to accomplishing some of these for me than most bras, but... It's still a terrible fit.

Very pretty. One of the few lacey bras I tried at Nordstroms in my size [@40D] that didn't have a scratchy band.

This is one of my first bra's in my real ABTF size. First I want to say that this is a beautiful bra. Simple, but elegant.

Everything fits really well; the cups, the underwires, the straps. The gore sits flat but it does go too high for my taste, it starts to get annoying after a few hours of wear. It is truly a full coverage bra. I do think that it is a little too projected for me, there is some extra room right at the apex of the bra that I can't fill... but it's not really noticeable.

The straps are not too wide, but they ... are thick and made of a comfy material making them very comfortable to wear. I think the straps are my favorite thing about this bra!

Update 05/22/14 - I ended up taking this bra back. While I liked it and really tried to make it work, the gore is just WAY too high for me and is so uncomfortable that I have to remove it after 3-4 hours. The wires at the top of the gore left deep red marks that lasted for over 3 hours.

  7. I had given this bra a miss because the all-over lacy black overlay on beige was a little too mid-90s goth for my taste. HOW WRONG I WAS! The fabric may not be my aesthetic ideal, but the shape and construction is PERFECT for me. I don't have very tall boobs, but I need narrow wires and have a lot of inner quadrant fullness, so the truly U shaped, narrow, tall cups are ideal for me. It is by far my most comfortable bra. I'm considering getting it in a second colorway, which would be a lifetime first for me.

This may be one of my favorite bras. It is extremely comfortable and supportive. My only complaint (which is really just my personal taste) is that it is almost too separating. I feel like my boobs are totally front and center in this, if that makes sense. Initially, I get the tiniest bit of quadboob near the gore. After wearing for a couple of minutes, this goes away. I thought that the 70F would be a better fit, but I'm not sure about that any more. It seems that the cups are a bit on the larger side for an E, so if you are between and E ... and an F, perhaps size down. It's so stretchy that it seems forgiving. If you have a lot of center fullness, you may find that the elastic along the top of the cup digs in and gives you quadboob. That is probably the main shape issue with this bra.

As far as appearance goes, it's pretty average. It's definitely not a bra I would wear to wow my husband. There are much cuter options out there. But for a daily driver? Not too shabby. I would imagine the cut looks less matronly on taller folks with a longer torso. Shorter gals may find that the cups come up really high on the chest.

I have mixed feelings about this bra. It is well made for sure. The materials feel luxe to me, the band feels firm (unlike many of Chantelle's newer offerings), and the hardware solid. The cups are lined with a silky taupe fabric that feels smooth but makes the bra appear sheer. My favorite part is the straps, black with a cream running stitch down each side, pretty enough to not worry if they show.

But though my partner complemented the sexy appearance of the bra, I felt dowdy in it. I felt it overwhelmed my petite frame and was self-conscious of it showing over the neckline of my shirts. The gore was definitely too high for me as well.

Close, but 1 cup size too small. I need a 32H. This is not my theoretical ideal bra - I'd like a little more lift, and a smidge more forward projection - but I've worn two of these sturdy bras practically to pieces, and I think that says something. The shape is round and pretty and very unobtrusive under clothes. The lace is flat and doesn't show through. In the correct cup size, the top elastic does not cut into my slightly full-on-top boobs. The cup comes high enough to support softer tissue after BFing 2 kids, but doesn't feel like it comes up to my chin. The beige one is very, well, beige, but the black one is subtly pretty and other colors pop up on ebay. @Chantelle doesn't get much love from full-bust bloggers, but if you fit their (somewhat limited) size range, the @Rive Gauche is worth a look.
