This is so pretty in person. The color is a gorgeous mauve. The band is super stretchy and not lace. There is lining that covers the nipples, but the lining does not go up as high as the lace cup. CORRECTION: The lining is as high and sewn to the top of the lace. I just noticed the lining is like satin until about an inch from the top it turns to mesh. The lace has a low projection that does not show under tops.. The lace is designed to look like little flowers less than an inch in diameter each, with four pedals each. The hooks are spaced farther than my bra extender hooks. So keep that in mind if you plan on buying a sister size one band size down. But it's so stretchy you probably could size down in the band. The wire is longer than my other 34ddd bras. Still comfortable and never pokes. I actually need higher side support. I now own 3. This remains my most comfortable bras. More comfortable than my wireless.
Extremely comfortable, stretchy but still supportive! Not like, firm-and-in-your-face supportive, but still good at getting the boobs out from under the arms and into a rounded front projection kind of situation. I like the vertical seams. Possible downside: Because the fabric's stretchy, I'm not so sure about the longevity, but we'll see.
I. Love. This. Bra.! It's beautiful and it fits me pretty well. At first I thought the band was too tight (I had to get used to wearing a 34 band instead of a 36), but it fits great. I love the look of the lace and the bow in the center. The lace does show through when wearing a t-shirt, so it's best not to wear it with thin fabrics
I just got this bra after owning a few Rive Gauche in the last few years. This is my first t-shirt bra. I may should have gotten a 36 band, but I'm hoping to lose a little weight. I believe I'm pretty happy with the fit!
**EDIT** Yeah, I definitely need to go up a size. After a harrowing bra adventure I found out my size is actually 34E-34FF (UK). The gore IS quite high on this bra and I do think it’s the wrong style for me, but I can’t give it a fair review when the cups were stretched to their limits. No wonder it didn’t look good. Smh.
I don’t think I need to go up a size, I just don’t think the gore height is right for me. I have a short, narrowish torso with narrow shoulders and slightly splayed, but close together breasts— this bra doesn’t work any way ...you look at it. The straps cut into my arm pits, the bra sits too low and squishes my torso chub down into a bulge underneath it. The cut and lack of side support/too wide cups just isn’t right for me as it creates a long chested appearance (breasts sit too low, still slightly splayed with zero cleavage). I will say that the bra itself is really comfortable and someone else with an entirely different body shape would probably LOVE it. The straps are nicely padded and the band is very comfortable. It seems like a great bra for everyday wear as it’s comfy and breathable. Read more 106 more words
Really nice construction, especially the band (love the little detail of the caramel lining, which shows up the black lace beautifully on the inside of the band). But this is not my size, sigh. The cups were at least one size too small (maybe two?), and the wires didn't even come close to fully encapsulating my breasts. This is advertised as a "minimizer" -- I tried it for the spacer foam. Since it was too small, I can't really say whether it minimizes or not, but the foam was more substantial than the spacer foam on my Wacoal Basic Beauty. Felt more like a padded bra in that regard.
Though this bra was not in my recommendations, my daughter had me try it on, as it is a good diagnostic bra. I have been wearing an Olga Sheer Leaves in 40C; the gore doesn’t tack, and the back rides up, but it is comfortable. My Bratabase recommendations are for bras within the 32G - 34GG range. Since this very stretchy Chantelle band feels tight on me, I don’t think a 32 band is in the realm of possibility! The underwire digs into my armpits, especially when I sit down. I will post some pics that say a thousand words, and request fitting help.
It's a nice bra, looks lovely and easy to wear under shirts. The wires are too tall for me and poke at my underarm, especially the side with the slightly smaller boob.
Received it in an exchange and now my friend's daughter is the new proud owner - it fits her like a glove. I haven't had the chance to measure it, but she will sent me the measurements. I am really happy with this one finding a new home.
From my pre weight loss days. Never wore it because it never really fit. Can't say much about it other than the fact that it is of a nice quality construction.
This is a great quality bra that's still in great condition. I wish I could fit into it better, but I only got a few uses out of it. It's secure, but the cups are a little too big for me. Since the cups are more formed than loose, wearing it makes my bust feel much larger and inflated. The band fits me around but it's a little tight when on the first clasp- I think if I had worn it longer, it would have loosened with time. The bra is extremely well made and supportive, but just a little too large for my bust.
Even though I made sure to be conscientious of the French sizing, and converted accordingly, this bra still ended up being too small in the cups. When I scoop/swoop, the hem/lace at the top cuts into my breast tissue a bit, making it pretty uncomfortable. I don't feel as if there is enough coverage or enough depth to the cups. The underwires are also too low for me, and they jab my sternum. I suppose I am too projected/round for this bra's shape. It's such a nice looking bra when it's not on.
The underwire sits lower on my ribcage than I'd like, so I tend to do it up on one of the tighter hooks to try to keep it in place. Cups feel a bit wider than some of my other bras, but it's still a very pretty and comfortable bra.
This bra has always been too small for me so I can't actually vouch for it. It does have 4 places on the back where the straps can be attached which means you can criss-cross the straps as well as move them in if you have problems with straps falling off which is a good feature.
